Though I had not caught every detail, it was clear that she held some sort of leverage over the Alpha of the Eclipse Pack, connected somehow to Uncle's death. Eleanor's expression chilled. "It's ancient history. You don't need to concern yourself with it." "Oh." Disappointment washed over me, but I nodded obediently. "Aunt Eleanor, are we really going to be able to go out soon?" Caden took out his phone, a puzzled look crossing his face. I noticed the caller ID showed it was from the old mansion of Eclipse Pack on the outskirts. This was unusual, and Caden seemed just as bewildered. He quickly answered, "Grandpa, are you looking for me?" "Caden, did I disturb you?" came Richard's deep voice. "No, Grandpa, what do you need?" Caden asked, his voice filled with concern. "Oh, nothing much," Richard replied casually. "I just wanted to ask how you plan to handle your mom and Queenie." I overheard this and felt a jolt of surprise. Richard's tone was off, making me wonder why he would suddenly ask about this. "Grandpa, they both did something that hurt you. I can't just let that go. Don't worry, they won't have the opportunity to harm you again." Caden's voice was cold and firm, indicating his resolve. "Are you planning to keep them locked up for life?" "Regardless, she is still your mother, so let them out in a few days."
