The Despised Luna's Comeback
Rosaline's POV: D*mn it, my cover had been blown again! Just a few days ago, my hidden identity as Starplay Entertainment's CEO was exposed, and now, Caden had discovered my cover as Leo. Just my luck. "I have nothing to say about it. Besides, I was only here because my Grandpa made me. I bet him I'd be able to leave in three months," I said with a small smirk. I've always kept a low profile, never wanting anyone to know my secret identities! "Leave?" Caden suddenly reached out and gripped my shoulder tightly. "I won't let you go." I was speechless. Thismanisreallydomineering. The bet with Hubert was that if I didn't fall in love with Caden within three months, I could leave the Eclipse Pack, and Hubert wouldn't force me to honor my marriage contract. But now... Despite everything that had happened and my lingering resentment over his attitude toward Tessa, I couldn't deny it—I had fallen for him. When that plane crashed, and my life was hanging by a thread, he risked everything to save me. That was when my feelings for him first began. Later, when we were stranded at sea and faced a vicious sea creature, he once again put his life on the line to protect me. At that moment, I couldn't help but fall deeply in love with him. I accepted his pursuit, wanting to be with him. But the deeper I loved him, the more insecure I became. When Tessa appeared, it felt like I had fallen from heaven straight into hell. Caden had abandoned me for Tessa. Though he later explained, there was still a lingering knot in my heart.Noticing my silence, Caden lowered his head and leaned in closer. "Rosaline, I know you care about me. Why won't you accept me? Are you testing me?" As his handsome face drew nearer, my thoughts became hazy. At that moment, I could feel how deeply Caden cared for me. But what about Tessa? Had Caden really let her go? Lately, his attitude toward Heidi had turned much colder. However, it seemed more due to Heidi's behavior than anything to do with Tessa. If Tessa ever came back ... What would Caden do? I furrowed my brows, feeling restless. Just as I was about to speak, my phone rang. I snapped out of my thoughts, picked up the phone, and saw Jasper's name on the screen. Amid Caden's icy gaze, I answered the call, "Jasper, what's up?" "Rosaline, how's your allergy? Are you feeling better?" Jasper asked with concern. I smiled. "I'm fine now, completely recovered." "The shooting for The Call of the Wolf starts tomorrow. When do you think would be the best time to film your scenes?" Jasper asked, waiting for my decision. I thought for a moment before replying, "Let's do it tomorrow." Caden had already given me a few days off to rest, so there was no reason to delay. It was my first acting job, and I was doing it for my own company—I didn't want any special treatment. Whatever schedule was set, I'd follow it. "I'll pick you up tomorrow," Jasper said gently. "Alright, talk to you then." I hung up and looked up—only to meet Caden's cold, piercing gaze. "I'm going to the set tomorrow." I figured I should let him know. Caden's expression darkened. "I'll take you there.""No need. Jasper said he'd pick me up ... " I hesitated, feeling the tension in the air. "I said I'll take you there." His voice was even colder this time, his tone firm. "Fine, you're the boss. Whatever you say." I sighed helplessly. Caden was great in every way—except when it came to relationships. He could be ridiculously possessive. The next day, the weather was sunny, and I got up early. After a few days of rest, my allergy had completely healed. As soon as I went downstairs, I saw Caden busy making breakfast in the kitchen. A man who can cook is really attractive. I walked over and asked, "Why are you making breakfast? Where's Willa?" "She took a leave," Caden replied casually. I looked at him and said, "Let me do it." I wasn't bad at cooking, though I didn't enjoy it much. Caden had made me breakfast multiple times, and I hadn't made any for him. "Can you cook?" Caden asked with a hint of skepticism. "Are you looking down on me?" I smirked, speaking confidently. "Not only can I cook, but I'm actually quite good at it." "Really?" Caden smiled. "Maybe next time, I'll handle it. But for today, I'll do it." After a pause, he gently pushed me out of the kitchen, his tone unexpectedly affectionate. "There's too much smoke here. Go wait for me in the dining room." Ah, Caden was just too sweet. While we were eating breakfast, Jasper's call came in. I was about to answer, but Caden quickly grabbed the phone. "What are you doing? Give it back to me!" I shot him an annoyed look. But Caden ignored me and answered the call, his voice cold. "Thanks for your concern, but I'll take Rosaline to the set. You don't need to worry."With that, he hung up the phone. "You're too much, Caden. How could you just answer my call without my permission?" I said, speechless. Caden gave me a sideways glance. "What's the matter? You can't bear to part with Jasper?" What? Whereisthisjealousycomingfrom?
