The Despised Luna's Comeback
Caden's POV: Hugging and cuddling? She got into Jasper's car? What was Rosaline trying to do? She just agreed to be with me, swearing that she wanted to be with me, and now she was throwing herself into Jasper's arms? I couldn't understand her anymore. Wendy continued adding fuel to the fire. "They really seem like a couple, Caden. Did you and Rosaline break up? Your marriage was just a contract anyway, so it wouldn't be surprising if she ended up with Jasper." I cut her off sharply. "Wendy, I'll say this one last time—I don't want to hear any gossip about Rosaline." I might be angry, but I would never allow anyone to gossip about Rosaline or judge her. Wendy refused to back down. "Caden, why do you treat Rosaline so well? She's not worth it." "That's none of your business." Then, I ignored her and walked past her without looking back. Behind me, Wendy's voice rang out. "Caden, one day, you're going to regret this!" ... Rosaline's POV: I sat in Jasper's car as he kept his hands firmly on the steering wheel, driving in silence. The atmosphere felt a bit awkward. Although I had been busy with Eclipse Group these past few days, I was still keeping an eye on Starplay Entertainment. Jasper had moved a significant portion of his overseas business back home and made a splash in the industry by investing in several major films. "You've done a great job," I said sincerely, thinking back on everything. Jasper had a real knack for this. Otherwise, I wouldn't have invested in Starplay Entertainment in the first place. He let out a bitter laugh. "No matter how well I do, you still won't look at me twice." "Jasper, don't be like this," I sighed softly, turning to look at him. "I've found true love. Shouldn't you be happy for me and give me your blessing?" Jasper fell silent. I looked at him, fully aware of the inner turmoil he was feeling. After all, he had secretly loved me for three years, yet I never returned his feelings. For someone as emotional as him, it must be truly painful. But, in the end, everyone has to learn to move on, right? When I looked up again, Jasper's handsome face had returned to its calm expression. He spoke quietly. "Loving someone doesn't mean you have to be with them. As long as you're happy, I'm willing to be the one who quietly supports you from behind." He looked at me deeply. "I wish you all the best." "Thank you," I said, finally letting out a sigh of relief. It was good that Jasper had come to terms with everything; my only worry was that he might get stuck on it. "Are we still friends?" Jasper hesitated for a moment before asking. I smiled and answered confidently, "Of course." When we arrived at Starplay Entertainment, I looked over the recent work schedule and, feeling satisfied, said, "Well, this plan looks good. We'll proceed with the new product shoot for the next quarter based on this." "As long as you're happy with it," Jasper said lightly. He then went over the actor recruitment plan for the next issue in detail, and I gave my suggestions. By the time we wrapped up, it was already evening. "I'm going home," I said, handing the revised plan to Jasper as I stood up. "I'll drive you," Jasper offered, following me. I thought for a couple of seconds before nodding.By the time I got back to New Moon City, it was already dark. Jasper got out of the car and opened the passenger side door for me. "We're here." I stepped out of the car and smiled at Jasper. "Thanks for the ride." After that, I turned and started walking toward Caden's house, but suddenly I heard Jasper's voice call out from behind me. "Rosaline." "Yes?" I stopped and turned around. I watched as Jasper quickly stepped forward and, in the blink of an eye, hugged me. He whispered in my ear, his voice low and deep, "Rosaline, I wish you happiness and joy!" His sudden approach unsettled me, so I instinctively stepped back and said, "Thank you." Caden's POV: What were Rosaline and Jasper doing?! After the press conference today, Rosaline left with Jasper in front of so many people, leaving me all alone at Eclipse Group. Did she have any idea how much self-control it took for me to resist the urge to storm into Starplay Entertainment and drag her back? When I got home, Rosaline was still nowhere to be found. I ended up drinking alone to drown my frustration. And now, I had to stand here, watching them hug in front of my house. The anger inside me was becoming impossible to control. Finally, Rosaline returned, quietly opening the door and sneaking in. I couldn't hold back anymore and asked in a low tone, "So, you've finally decided to come back?" Rosaline stood still for a moment, then said, "You're home?" She tried to turn on the light, but I couldn't hold back any longer. I walked over and pressed her against the door. Rosaline covered her nose and said, "Caden, what are you doing? You reek of alcohol."
