I Married My Ex's Billionaire Uncle
Over the years, the veteran members of Sinclair Corperation had silently harbored dissatisfaction toward Madam Victoria. To them, she wasn’t just a divisive presence—she was the third party who had disrupted the family. The resentment wasn’t baseless. Sinclair Corperation had originally belonged to Liza’s mother, a legacy she had built with hard work and dedication. But after her passing, the company fell into Mr Sinclair’s hands, and Madam Victoria had quickly stepped into the picture. In Mr Sinclair’s mind, however, there was no conflict. As her husband, he believed he was entitled to the company after her death. Besides, he had always held disdain for Liza’s mother, a fact that had driven his decisions. Although Liza inherited a portion of the company’s shares, her independent and defiant nature made her a threat. He thought: Even if I gave her those shares, she’d find a way to take full control of the company. Better to keep it away from her altogether. But the resistance from the senior staff infuriated him. Why are they siding with her? he thought angrily. This is my company now! As the tension in the meeting room thickened, Mr Sinclair slammed his hand on the table. His face was flushed with anger. “Enough! Who has the authority to make decisions at Sinclair Corperation? Serena is the rightful heir! What gives you the right to demand her removal?” His glare swept the room as he continued. “This must be Liza’s doing. She must have conspired with Stone Corporation to pressure us. But as long as Serena marries Brandon, the Stone Family won’t dare to interfere any further!” He straightened, his voice heavy with finality. “Let me make this clear: Sinclair Corperation will not, under any circumstances, fall into Liza’s hands!” Madam Victoria and Serena exchanged satisfied glances, their expressions smug. They had successfully manipulated Mr Sinclair into protecting Serena at all costs. The senior executives, however, were at their wits’ end. Since the passing of Liza’s mother, the company had fallen into disarray under Mr Sinclair and Madam Victoria’s leadership. Business was failing, and their decisions were only dragging the company further into ruin. Yet, Mr Sinclair’s stubborn determination to shield Serena left no room for negotiation. With no viable options left, the veterans reluctantly rose from their seats, preparing to leave. Just as they reached the door, a calm, confident voice echoed through the room. “How lively! It seems I’ve arrived just in time to discuss some business, President Sinclair.” The room fell silent as all eyes turned toward the speaker. Mr. Sam entered the room, exuding an air of elegance and authority in his tailored suit. His demeanor was gentle, but his presence was commanding. Mr Sinclair’s eyes lit up with excitement at the sight of him. “Mr. Smith!” he exclaimed, practically tripping over his words. The weight of Mr. Sam ’s name sent a ripple of unease through the room. Mr. Sam controlled rare and precious resources that were essential to industries worldwide—commodities so valuable that nations competed fiercely to secure them. Only two individuals held dominance over these resources: Mr. Sam himself and a mysterious figure whose identity remained unknown. For the Sinclair Family, whose business ventures had stagnated, securing a deal with Mr. Sam could be a lifeline. The mere fact that Mr. Sam was willing to meet with Mr Sinclair was monumental, and the room buzzed with speculation. Serena, sitting beside her mother, couldn’t tear her eyes away from him. Her admiration was evident as she gazed at him with fascination, captivated by his charm and influence. Mr Sinclair and Madam Victoria quickly realized what Serena was trying to do. Without hesitation, they pulled her forward to introduce her to Mr. Sam . "Mr. Smith," Mr Sinclair said with a polite smile, "this is my daughter, Serena. She’s the future leader of Sinclair Corperation. Would you be open to discussing the details of our upcoming collaboration with her?" The onlookers were taken aback, their eyes widening in surprise. Handing over such an important business deal to Serena? President Sinclair must have lost his mind! Serena, putting on a show of bashfulness, stepped closer to Mr. Sam . “Mr. Sam…” she began softly, her voice laced with a forced shyness. However, Mr. Sam stepped back slightly, maintaining his composure as a polite smile formed on his lips. “So, Serena is the heir to Sinclair Corperation?” he said lightly. “In that case, I’ll take my leave.” Serena’s smile faltered instantly, and the expression on her face froze. Mr. Sam ’s tone grew colder as he continued, “The only reason I was willing to set aside my rivalry with Stone Corporation and consider a partnership with the Sinclair Family was because of Liza. Many people are well aware of my views—I despise mistresses and their illegitimate offspring.” His gaze briefly swept over Serena. “From what I hear, you’ve always made trouble for Liza. Let me make something clear: I admire Liza, and I intend to pursue her. Anyone or anything that brings her distress has no place in my life. If Sinclair Corperation is to fall into your hands, the Smith Family will have no further dealings with it.” With those words, Mr. Sam turned on his heel, his expression now cold and unyielding. Just before leaving, he suddenly paused and glanced back. “Miss Serena,” he said sharply. Serena, on the verge of tears, looked up at him with an expression of wounded innocence. Mr. Sam ’s voice carried a biting edge. “I hear you’re already engaged to Brandon. I suggest you know your boundaries. You shouldn’t cling to every man you meet. You remind me of your mother, Madam Victoria, and I’ve always found women like her intolerable.” His cutting words struck like a blade. Serena’s knees buckled as her face turned pale. He had humiliated her—openly and without mercy! “Serena! Serena!” Madam Victoria cried out in panic, her face drained of color. “, she’s fainted!” Mr Sinclair, who had been deep in thought, snapped back to reality at the sound of Madam Victoria’s frantic voice. When he realized Serena had collapsed, he shouted in alarm, “Call an ambulance! Hurry!” Madam Victoria clenched her teeth, her face contorted with anger. This was all Liza’s fault! She swore to herself that Liza would pay for this humiliation. Meanwhile, on the other side of town, Liza received a message from Albert. “I couldn’t find much on the Smith Family’s recent affairs, but I did uncover something from 20 years ago that I think you’ll find interesting,” the message read.Curious, Liza opened the next part of the text. “Mr. Sam is not the Smith Family’s biological son,” Albert wrote. “He was left on their doorstep 20 years ago. Coincidentally, Gavin was born the very same day.” Liza’s expression shifted as she processed the information. Albert added another message, “Eventually, the Smith Family adopted Mr. Sam . Rumor has it he’s the biological son of Prudence. Apparently, she didn’t have a miscarriage all those years ago but secretly gave birth to a child and hid him.” Liza slowly lifted her eyes, her gaze falling on Gavin. Could it be? Was Mr. Sam the biological son of Chairman Stone and Prudence?
