The Council's Arcane Academy
Jocelyn’s p.o.v. It has been exactly a year since Joseph and I marked one another, we have been writing down how our Mate-bond was formed and how it feels to us. Both our Moms want to know how much difference there is between our Mate-bond and the Mate-bond that we can no longer find. I would say that this Mate-bond has replaced the Mate-bond of my parents in law, at least finding it is different. I don’t think it is any different from what Mom once had or what Mom and Dad still have, Indigo agrees with me and so do Inti and Joseph. It took Herold and April two weeks to find out that something was happening between them and once they spend every day together, it took them five days to feel the sparks and for their Wolves to claim the other as their Mate. One other couple was formed after April and Herold, both of them surprised to find out how this new forming of the Mate-bond worked. We all write everything down for the future and we all hope that this is the new way of finding a true Mate-bond. “Mommy, Mommy.” I hear Jenna call out and I look up to see her running in my direction. I smile as I see all four of our Pups coming my way; Jenna and Fay with their brown, curly hair, Christian with his black hair and Joey with his blond hair. It looks so funny to see them all next to one another, only Jenna and Faye resembling one another. Joseph is hoping that our little girl will have my hair color, but I am actually hoping on Joseph’s golden locks. We will just have to wait a little longer, before we might be able to tell what color hair our Pup has. Inti and Indigo welcomed their Son into the world three days ago, you should have seen the look on Inti’s face when he saw his Son for the first time. Unlike his parents black hair, Samuel is a redhead and with that I mean a real redhead.None of us was expecting it, but with his Father’s green eyes it looks amazing and he seems to be aware of it. “Mommy, Pappi wants to train Joey.” Jenna shouts in my direction and I see a very annoyed look on Joey’s face. I gently grab her chin the moment she is standing in front of me and I give her one of my stern looks and she knows she was in the wrong. “Sorry, Joey. I shouldn’t have told your surprise.” She says as she breaks out of my lose grip and runs to her big Brother. I know he will always forgive her, but I want her to learn to keep certain things to herself and allow others to tell me their own news. “You’re right, you shouldn’t have told my surprise. But I still love you, Little Monster.” Joey says, using the nickname she got from Herold. I gesture to the seat next to me and Joey tells me about Pappi’s request to train him. He might not be the youngest anymore, but that man can still fight like a young adult and I know that Joey will receive the same training his Dad got. “Well, I think it is a good idea if Pappi trains you. I just hope he can handle training you, he is getting a little older.” I say teasingly, knowing full well that the man is standing behind me. Jenna starts to giggle as I feel him approaching and just before he reaches me, I jump up to smack him on his shoulder. I am out of his reach in the same movement and Pappi looks at me with a dumbfounded look on his face. Mom and Nanna are laughing their asses off and I can hear each of our Pups giggling and chuckling. “Sorry, Pappi. Looks like you are getting slower.” I say with a wink, before I turn on my heel and make a run for it. I am not allowed to shift anymore and training has been reduced to almost nothing, but I still feel the need to keep myself busy. Pappi seems to understand that and chases me around the Pack-house a few times, before he tells me that that is enough for the day. Reluctantly I slow down until I have reached my seat again, but the moment I sit down I realize that Pappi was right. “Thanks, Pappi. I needed that.” I say as I look up at him, a loving smile on his face as he looks down at me. “Oh, chucks.” I mumble at the pain shooting through my abdomen and I know exactly what time it is, time to welcome our next Pup into this world. Our Son decided not to waste anyone’s time, because less than an hour later I have him lying on my chest and I stare at his little bold head. My hand gently moves over his head, but I can’t feel a single hair. The first ones that get to see Jacob are our Pups and they already love him to pieces. Joey is sitting on the side of the bed with Christian in his arm, while Joesph has lifted Jenna onto the other side of the bed and Faye is in his arms. All of them staring at their little Brother, the next heir to the Gamma title of Little Crescent Pack and I know that our family will expand further throughout the years.Mom walks into the room with my phone in her hands and I hear my Mom squeal from the other end of the line, happy to welcome another Grandpup to the family. We have only spoken over the phone, because the war is still going on and I didn’t want her to risk anything to come and see me. Jenna is talking to Mom on the phone and after looking at Joey, she tells them about Pappi and him training Joey. She is a smart little girl, but there is a huge mischievous streak to her and that gets her into a lot of trouble at times. A few hours later, I am resting in our own bed with Jacob on my chest and the man that holds my heart next to us. I think of our family, as sleep slowly consumes me.
