The Council's Arcane Academy

Chapter 418 Bonus Parents

Joseph’s p.o.v. The guy was a fucking Alpha and just abandoned his Pack to safe his Daughter, or so he thought. I have already written their punishments down and I hope that many Pack-members agree with me, there is only one punishment for Charles and Camilla. Anyone that will sell another Shifter should be killed, imprisonment won’t do anyone any good and if they were ever released, they would only continue with their crimes. I had been listening to Jocelyn’s conversation with Grant and I had heard him gasp when she had called him Dad. They didn’t get a chance to bond, but Jocelyn knows he will be a better Father to her than her own was and this was her way of telling him that she accepted the bond he had with her Mother. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I can’t wait to see the look on everyone’s faces when we hand out the presents we got for them. A tradition Pappi started during his first year as an Alpha, he wanted his Pack-members to know how much he appreciated their support. The gifts aren’t big or expensive, they are just something they can use and be reminded of the person that gifted it to them, their Alpha. I doubt Inti had thought of the tradition in White Mountain Pack, but I made sure we had everything we needed for our Pack-members. Let’s see when it dawns on him and how stressed out he will get, when he realizes there isn’t enough time. Inti had used the morning to get some presents and he told me that he would return the favor tomorrow morning, he would ask Indigo and Jocelyn to help him with the Alpha office. Dad is still holding on to Jenna, he asks her and Joey about the trip down here and many other questions. Mom seems to be listening intently and I can see her linking someone, probably to make the amount of presents under the tree a little bit more for them.“Alpha Amarah…” Jocelyn starts and again Milo and I cover her mouth with our hands. She looks from me to Mom and as she closes her eyes I hear her giggle. “Fine. Mom, who decorated the tree in Little Crescent Pack-house?” She asks, after Milo and I have removed our hands. “We did.” Mom says, pointing between her and April. “Why do you ask, Pumpkin?” Mom uses the same endearment for Jocelyn as her own Mom does and I can feel a sadness run though me, but I know it isn’t me who is feeling sad. “That is weird, we can feel her emotions from time to time.” Griffin says and I realize that is was Jocelyn I had felt. “Jenna pointed out a rather unusual ornament, she was wondering who put it in there.” Jocelyn explains her question and I try to figure out if I had seen anything that could be classified as unusual. “That would be the first ornament Joseph ever made, there are more of them in this tree.” Mom says as she gets up to point them out to Jocelyn.“It is a family tradition, I think we all made our last ornament the Christmas after we turned sixteen. Why don’t we have all the Pups and Youngsters of Little Crescent Pack make their own ornament tomorrow morning?” April asks. Inti takes that as an opportunity to distract Jocelyn and Indigo from my absence and volunteers them both to help in the morning, but also as an opportunity for the adults to go last minute shopping. The rest of the afternoon is spend with gathering everything to make ornaments and move it into the main dining room of Little Crescent Pack. Mom and Dad have kept Faye and Christian with them and after spending a few hours with them, they understand how to handle the two of them. They can be separated from one another, but never too far apart or the wailing will start again. Jocelyn quickly grabs her phone, but I can’t see the reason for it and then we step into the living room. Dad is lying on the floor with Faye and Christian on top of him or should I say Linus is lying on the floor in the living room and both are in a deep sleep. Mom is sitting on a couch talking to Grandma and from time to time I see her eyes glide to her Mate, a loving look in her eyes. Even after twenty five plus years, it amazes me to see the love they have for one another and I silently thank the Goddess for putting Mom on Dad’s path. We join Mom and Grandma in their conversation, it is a pretty serious one and I understand that Mom wants to wait with the punishments until after Christmas. No need for them to ruin our lives even further, a day or two more in the dungeons won’t change the out come and it won’t spoil the holidays. Slowly but steadily, more and more members of Mom and Dad’s leadership walk in and each of them walks around Linus and the little ones. Jenna is giggling when she sees them and she slowly walks over to them, sitting down on the floor to lean against Dad’s side. Jocelyn gestures to Joey to join them and a second later I see her with her phone in her hand, taking a picture to remember this day. Mom finally decides to wake Dad, when it is almost time for dinner and I smile when I see her kneeling in front of him. “Linus, my Love. You need to wake up, but don’t you dare move.” Mom whispers in his ear, after she has lifted it and I see one of his eyes slowly open. He softly growls at her and the moment he lifts his head, he understands why he isn’t allowed to move. He turns his head to look over his shoulder at the three pups, fast asleep as they use him as mattress. Joey first picks up Faye and hands her to me and quickly moves back to Dad to get Christian for Jocelyn to take, before he lifts Jenna of the floor. She had fallen asleep, while leaning against Dad and somehow had managed to push herself under his front leg. “Thanks, Dad.” Jocelyn says and he slowly walks over to her, still in Wolf form. He places his head on her shoulder and I know it is Linus’ way of telling her that she is also his Pup, just like me.
