The Council's Arcane Academy

Chapter 416 His Words

Umayza’s p.o.v. It has been years since I had to use my gift, but I want to get the answers for Alpha Amarah. I wait until the entire clearing is empty and my personal protection detail and my Mates’ Squad are surrounding the clearing. Conri and Evander stay close to me, making sure I will have all the support I need. The memories wash over me in an instant and I watch as I jump from host to host, making sure I remember every damn face I see. It takes a long time before my world turns black and my Mates get to take me home. Our Sons are waiting at home for us, but I don’t see the worry on their face and I don’t hear Conri explain how my gift works. I wake up in the early hours of the morning and I see three worried faces hover above me, while my Mates are in a deep sleep next to me. After I slowly wiggle my way from between my Mates, I get picked up by our oldest Son. We never tried for another pregnancy, because the triplets were to much for my body and we never regretted it. I tell them about my gift in more detail, while we enjoy some coffee and the fact that I am doing fine seems to calm them down. We spend the hours till the trial at home, I need some peace and quiet before this shitshow gets started and I know some might lose their cool during my recollection of what happened at that clearing. No one asks me any questions, they know better and the effect will be better if no one knows. I wait for Alpha Amarah to announce my name and I slowly walk to the front porch, wondering of those two know anything about my family. Charles’ face pales when he hears my words and he knows what I have uncovered, a scheme that will cost him and his Daughter their lives. I start to recount the memories I have seen, a four year old female that was handed over to a Warrior and his companion handed Charles a necklace. A six year old female that was handed over to an Alpha and he also hands Charles a piece of jewelry, but I didn’t recognize the Alpha. One after the other female was handed over to strangers and each of them handed Charles or Camilla some jewelry. All of them were orphans, no one was going to miss them and none of them had their Wolf or Lycan yet. They even handed over males, but for those Charles and Camilla received a lot more and it took a while before I found the memory that went with that type of transaction. “An Alpha approached Charles with the request for an orphaned male, he was willing to pay triple if he was under the age of thirteen. I relived the memories of twenty eight females and nineteen males, I remember every face and we will hunt them down. I also remember the face of every Warrior that was at the clearing during the hand offs and each of them will have to answer to the Alphas for allowing this to happen.” I say, before I give Armand a signal. In the blink of an eye there are seventeen Wolves and Lycans on their knees in front of me and I can hear the Alpa behind me growl, because they are Pack-members from every other Pack that found refuge here. “None of you questioned Charles or Camilla, you never asked your Alphas if this was sanctioned and you never informed Alpha Amarah or Alpha Theseus. I bet that some of those males and females belonged to your own Packs and still you did nothing.” I say. I look at Charles and Camilla, but neither one of them is looking in my direction. Their eyes are glued to the table in front of them and I see Apollo and Melia fighting with their Wolves for control. “Callan and Theron, take over from Gamma Apollo and Gamma Melia. Their Wolves are about to win this battle for control.” I say and both of them move between the Gammas and our accused. I step to the side to make room for Alpha Amarah and I feel Evander’s arms slip around my waist, pulling me against his chest.“Why didn’t you inform your Alphas about Charles and Camilla’s business dealings?” Amarah asks. “Charles told us that he had your permission, that you didn’t want to be bothered with any reports on the orphans and that he was to ask for payment that would be useful somewhere down the line.” One of the Warriors answers. “He is telling you the truth, those were Charles’ words.” I inform Amarah, when she looks at me over her shoulder. I listen as Amarah keeps asking them questions and from time to time she looks at me, I confirm the answers if I have them. It seemed that Charles had been able to fool them, they truly believed that Alpha Amarah was aware of the orphans. Each of them stated that Charles made a file on every orphan, a file that disappeared when an orphan left the territory. At least now I understand why none of them never talked to one of the Alphas, Charles had covered all bases and had sold them a solid story. Too bad they took the wrong Pups the last time and I know they will pay for their bad choices. Alpha Theseus explains to the Pack-members that they get a say in the punishment for everyone involved and he is expecting their individual answer within an hour. I know what I am going to write down and five minutes later I hand my note over to Alpha Jaydon, before I walk inside to spend some time with the Youngsters and Pups. I find them in the dining room, spread across the floor in small groups and almost every one of them humming along with the Christmas songs that are playing in the background. “Where is Mommy?” I hear a young girl ask and I know who she is talking about. “Mommy is still outside, she has to make a decision on some bad people and on some people that have been gullible.” I tell her and I hear her giggle at my words. “Mommy will make the right decision, like she did when she chose us as her Pups.” I hear the little girl say.
