Chapter 376 Alpha Trouble

Indigo’s p.o.v. I still don’t understand how they found me so fast, but I am grateful that they returned me to my best friend. The rest I got on the Alpha’s back and in the SUV has helped me a great deal and Doc told me to get a good breakfast, it will help me restore the rest of the energy I lost in the past four days. I know I can’t help with the heavy lifting, so I opt for helping the Omegas and I am grateful for Mom teaching me how to prepare a meal. I look around for Jocelyn from time to time and I smile each time I see her fussing with Faye or Jenna, it looks so natural. After breakfast the oldest Pups help with the dishes and I lie down on one of the sleeping bags, Kardia needs some time to talk to Erylis. They can do that will I take a short nap and Jocelyn places Jenna and Faye in between us. “Jocelyn, someone is approaching.” I hear a voice beside me say and my eyes fly open to be met with Jenna lying on top of me. I slowly and gently place her on the sleeping bag next to Faye and a youngster sits down next to them without someone telling her. “Thank you.” I whisper as I get to my feet and follow Jocelyn to a small opening between two SUVs. We can hear paws connecting with the ground, there aren’t many of them. Probably not the Alpha and his Warriors, but I could be mistaken and a second later I hear a female next to me gasp. Three Wolves come into view and one of the female Warriors, who is still in wolf form, dashes towards him. It takes a few minutes before we hear more paws connecting with the ground, there are a lot of them and they are not running at high speed. The rest of the Pack with the wounded and Jocelyn orders Joey to move the SUV out of the way. “That way.” I say to the first Wolf that walks into the circle and I point towards the makeshift infirmary Doc made. One after the other walks in and heads towards Doc to drop of the wounded. Doc appoints nurses to a few of the wounded, making sure that each of them has a few patients to look after. Every Wolf that isn’t injured has shifted back to Human form and each of them has been handed a pair of shorts. Doc takes a look at each of them and tells them to get something to eat, before they rest for a few hours. Jocelyn steps next to Doc, while he takes a look at the last three that shifted back to Human form and something tells me that Doc asked Jocelyn to be there. “Get something to eat and then you need to rest for a few hours.” Doc says and I see Alpha Inti raise an eyebrow. “Good luck with getting that one to rest.” Kardia says teasingly in my head, but it seems that she included Jocelyn as well. Because Jocelyn stares at me over her shoulder and I just smile. “Alpha, before you object. You have had a long night. First you went after Indigo, to save her from a forceful marking and you carried her back to the convoy. Then you had to fight off a large group of Wolves and Lycans, not to mention that you carried another wounded back. So let me make this very clear, either you will do as Doc says or I will ask him for a sedative and preferably one that lasts at least eight hours. Take your pick, Alpha.” Jocelyn says with her hands on her hips and I take a step back out of instinct. Beta Herold, or at least I assume that to be Herold, raises his hands in surrender and steps around Jocelyn in search of a place to lie down. Alpha Inti and his Gamma are a bit more difficult, but I can guarantee you that Jocelyn will do as she threatened. “Doc, get me two sedatives and make sure they are strong enough to put them under for eight hours.” Jocelyn says without taking her eyes of Alpha Inti and I see Pack-members smile as Doc walks back to his makeshift infirmary. “Are you serious, Doc?” Gamma Josehp calls after Doc, but he doesn’t respond to the question and I see the Alpha and Gamma look at one another. They turn their attention back towards the infirmary and I giggle as I see Doc returning with two syringes. “What is it going to be, Alpha? Will you and Gamma Joseph take the time to rest or do I need to help you with that?” Jocelyn asks. “You do realize that I am an Alpha, Jocelyn?” Alpha Inti asks and even though her back is towards me, I can see the defiant look in her eyes. “Give it your best shot, Alpha. My own Alpha never succeeded, so good luck with that.” Jocelyn counters and I hear many chuckles and giggles around me, but I doubt anyone will understand that she is telling the truth. “Aghh.” Gamma Joseph calls out as he steps around Jocelyn and lies down on a sleeping bag next to Faye and Jenna. “One down, One to go.” Jocelyn says, her eyes still on the Alpha and his body language tells us that he is giving in. “Fine, I will rest for a few hours. You are a pain in the ass, Jocelyn.” He growls as he walks towards a sleeping bag.“You wish, Alpha.” Jocelyn mumbles and two heads snap towards her, while the rest of us are laughing our asses off.
