The Council's Arcane Academy
Lakota Our Pack is expanding with everyone we have found along the way, and I am glad we found each and every one of them. It will make claiming the territory a whole lot easier to do. Lance is pointing at our map, and I see we are getting closer to Silver Moon Pack. It has been two and a half days since we left Silver River Pack and two days since Darrius and Jazzy became members of Crystal Blood Pack. "Dad, do you want to scare the shit out of Alpha Flint?" I ask, and I know everyone hopes he is willing to give us at least the chance to take a shower. Sela says that she hopes to get the chance to wash our clothes, and Mylana and Alice offer up their help. I just smile as everyone has something they would like to do. Half an hour later, we stand at the gate of Silver Moon Pack, and the Warrior on the other side asks us to state our business."Tell that Alpha of yours that I am here to collect," Dad says, and I turn away from the Warrior to make sure he doesn't see the damn smile on my face. A mighty roar sounds, and I know that Alpha Flint was informed of Dad's message. It takes a second before we hear paws pound on the ground. A huge black Wolf skids to a halt and tilts his head to the left as he looks at Dad. "Hello, Uncle Flint. Care to open up that damn gate," I say, and his eyes nearly pop out of his head, but the gate gets opened by two Warriors. I step forward towards the huge Wolf and wrap my arms around his neck as I whisper, "Hello, Laurence." His Wolf whimpers as I squeeze him tight. I don't have many memories of that time as I was only two years old, but Laurence was the Wolf I remembered, and it had surprised Dad when I mentioned his name when we were talking about Alpha Flint. From the corner of my eye, I see a young female Pup glaring at me, and I know exactly who she is."How did you manage to put a gorgeous Pup like that into this world, Uncle Flint," I exclaim, and she giggles as Laurence growls softly. "Okay, I said Uncle Flint, not Laurence," I scold him as I look at him. I know who the female is that throws herself at Dad and isn't hiding the fact that she is crying; she is my Aunt from Mom's side of the family. I feel arms wrap around me as Dad walks over with my Aunt in his arms. Their Pup seems to be rather confused by everything. "Hello, Aunt Flora. Can I get a hug too?" I ask, and she turns around to look at me, making her sob loudly. "My little Lycan, I am so sorry," she says before she wraps her arms around me, and I hold her tightly as she keeps sobbing. Everyone knew from the day I was born that I would be a Lycan, and Aunt Flora had started calling me her little Lycan from the first time she saw me. "Uncle Flint, can Alice use a room at your infirmary to check out Darrius?" I ask, and before he can answer, his Daughter takes Alice's hand to guide her to the infirmary. Darrius follows close behind them, and even though he is fully healed now, we still want Alice to check him. We sit down in the living room, and a few Wolves that knew Dad look at him in surprise. Looks like Uncle Flint only told his leadership the truth. I doubt Aunt Flora would have appreciated it if he had kept it from her, and I think it is safe to say it was in everyone's best interest to make sure she knew the truth. An Omega steps into the living room to tell us that our rooms are ready and that dinner will be served in an hour. "Okay, why don't you all go upstairs to freshen up," Aunt Flora says, and when Sela asks if she can use the laundry room to wash our clothes, the Omega tells her that she will take care of it. "Thank you, Lisa. I know your shift is over, so make sure you write down the extra time," Aunt Flora says. Sela stares at Aunt Flora as Lisa tells us to follow her, and on the way to our rooms, Lisa explains to Sela that they get paid for their work, that they can train if they want to. That an Omega that is good enough can even try out for other positions within the Pack. "We are treated like every other Pack-member, and the rules apply to everyone in the Pack, regardless of your rank." I like the idea of paying our Omegas as we pay our other Pack-members for the job they do, and I decide to hurry with my shower, hoping to talk to Aunt Flora before dinner. Lance is waiting outside my room when I walk out of it, and something tells me he had the same idea, so we both make our way down the stairs. Only to be met with a scene I hadn't expected to see here. "You are a worthless bitch; why don't you do all of us a favor and kill yourself," a young female says menacingly to a young Omega. If I had to guess, the female is about twenty years old, and the Omega might just be sixteen, but not much more than that. "You should have died that day with your parents instead of my Father. I will keep making your life a living hell until the day you commit suicide," she growls at the Omega that is curled up on the floor. Lotus pushes forward and jumps down the banister right behind the female, making her scream. "If I ever hear you threaten her life again, I am going to make sure you join your Father, Bitch," Lotus growls in a deadly voice, and Lance is standing in front of the Omega in a protective stance. "Lotus, can you give control back to Lakota? I would like to know what is going on," Uncle Flint says as he is glaring at the female in front of me. Lotus gives control back to me, and I tell Uncle Flint what we overheard, but the female tries to talk her way out of it. "Alpha, you don't believe a visitor over your own Pack-member, do you?" she asks, and I hear Aunt Flora growl. Uncle Flint surprises us as he starts laughing, and the female sighs in relief. "I would ask both parties to tell me their side of the story before deciding who I would believe. There is, however, one person in this world I would believe over everyone else, other than my family, and that would be my Niece Lakota," he answers her, and Lotus has a smug look on her face as his words sink in. Uncle Flint decides to have a conversation with the female and her Mother, while Aunt Flora tells us what happened almost a year ago. Four Rogues had made it across their border, and even though her parents both trained, they were no match for the Rogues, and their Head Warrior had died protecting the young Omega. His Mate and Daughter have blamed the Omega ever since, and even though they were told not to take their loss out on the Omega, it seems it had fallen on deaf ears. "Aunt Flora, I assume she is left in this world alone with the death of her parents. I am not condoning what has been said to her, but I do understand that she is a constant reminder for his family. If she wants, she can come with us to the territory we want to settle down in; she will have a better life than she would here. You can't banish anyone for what was said, but I can offer you a solution that will benefit all of them. However, I would like to be the one to offer it to her, and I want to do it in front of your Head Warrior's family," I say. Aunt Flora leads me to Uncle Flint's office, and Lance follows us with the young Omega by his side. "Keep yourself between her and that Bitch," I order him through the mind-link. Both females growl as we walk into the office, and I am not sure if it is towards the Omega or me. "Let me make one thing clear before I make the offer I made Aunt Flora: I do not condone what the two of you have put her through. I do understand she is a reminder of what the two of you have lost, but it doesn't mean you can blame her for what happened. If it were up to Lotus, my Lycan, she would rip the two of you to shreds, and I would not stop her. Is that clear?" I growl, and both females are smart enough to nod their heads. "If Uncle Flint wants to punish both of you for what you did, I fully support him. If he lets you off the hook with a warning, he has my full support as well. My main concern is the young female over there, and I will not take the risk of either one of you retaliating somewhere down the line. For that reason, I am offering her to join our Pack," I say. "This is not to punish her, but to make sure she can have a peaceful life without the two of you in it." Uncle Flint tells the two females to get out of his office and that he will deal with them the following day. He opens the door to let them out. Lance steps in front of the Omega, shielding her from anything they wanted to say or do. He will protect her with his life because, from the short description in his file, I think she reminds him of his baby Sister. "Josy, the choice is yours. I will not tell you what you should do; you are smart enough to do that on your own. Keir is your Luna's Brother-in-Law, and Lakota is our Niece; they will always have your best interest at heart," Uncle Flint says, and I see Josy thinking about his statement. "Alpha Flint, I lived here my whole life with my parents, and in all those years, I never had a problem with anyone. I lost my parents that day, but they only thought about their own grief and never about my grief or that of anyone else. I appreciate what you tried to do for me, but I would like to take Lakota up on her offer," Josy answers.
