Kaiden’s P.O.V. I have kept an eye on Aziza and Ragnar, after what happened in the dining-room and when he told her he was scared I had to stifle a smile. I don’t think Ragnar has ever said those words before in his life and him admitting to Aziza that he is scared is a good step in the right direction. But it doesn’t mean that I will cut him some slack, if he hurts her I am going to kick his ass. Hell, I might even try to get in to her good graces if he messes up, but I hope that he figures out in time that she is one in a million. I have met a lot of women over the years and not one of them comes close to Aziza. My Lycan growls in my head and I know exactly why, because the second we find our Mate no one will be able to compare to her. That is how the Matebond works, you will only have interest in your Mate and no on else will ever make you feel the same.Last night we decided to give them some privacy and disappeared in to our rooms quickly. Even though my Lycan and I listened very closely, we had not been able to hear anything. Seeing them together this morning I realize that they fit perfect together and I hope that they will be able to work things out if the Goddess has paired them together. We sit down on the floor in the Archive and I grab the papers that are to my left, while Ragnar pulls Aziza in his lap like yesterday. He grabs a stack of papers and puts them on her lap before he grabs another stack for himself. By the time it is lunchtime we have found only two pieces of paper that refer to the Mother giving birth to the Daughter and the mating of the parents. Other than that we have found no other information, but there is still a great deal of paper on the floor. I notice a chance in Ragnar and as I look up I can see that someone is mind-linking him. “Our reinforcements are here.” He says once he is done. I link the others and we decide to get in to action immediately, it takes less than an hour to round up every male in the Pack. As we gather them all in the backyard, guarded by two Royal Squads, Aziza talks to their Mates. “Gentlemen, not all these males are guilty of crimes. I will allow the males that are not going to be charged to go back to their Mates, if they want them.” All the Council’s men nod their head and one by one the females follow Aziza inside. Aziza’s P.O.V. I walk in to the living-room with all the females following behind me, I know I have to ask a few awkward questions and some might not like the answers. I clear my throat and every female turns to face me and I look around the room as I try to find the best way to ask my questions. “The reason all the males are in the backyard is that we are not sure who is or is not guilty of a crime. In order to figure that out I have a few questions and for some it might not be easy to hear the answers. My first question is, who wants to stay with their chosen Mate?” I let a silence fall after that. Six older females step forward and tell me that they want to stay with their Mate, a seventh steps forward and states that she only wants to stay with her Mate if he has done nothing wrong. “Then I will ask my second question now. Is there anyone in this room that wants to press charges against one of their Mates?” again I let a silence fall, feeling a little bit uneasy as the silence drags on. “Okay, let me paint the picture a bit better. If any of you are aware of their Mates committing a crime, you need to speak up. Not just to bring them to justice, but also to make sure that they won’t do it to their Mates in the future. Just because he hasn’t done it to his Mate yet, doesn’t mean that there might be a chance that it will stay that way.” And again the silence last and after five minutes I ask Kaiden to come in. “Kaiden, these seven females want to stay with their Mate and no one has accused them of a crime. Will you escort them outside, so their Mates can be released?” He nods his head and guides the females out of the living-room. After that, I ask who has a problem with talking to one of the men and at that exact moment Gunnar, Kaiden, Chase, Hunter and Ragnar walk in. The unmated females who already gave their statements volunteer to stay with the women and I actually like the idea. “Ladies, before we start I think it is wise to keep in the back of your head that these men hate what you went through. They are Lycans and they will do everything they can to control their Lycans, which might be difficult. Just know that they will never hurt you, if they get angry it is directed at the males in the backyard and not at you.” I look around the room and I see that the unmated females are nodding their heads. We spread out through the living-room and one by one the females tell their stories. I hear one after the other growl, but none of the females run off and I even see Rosa put a hand on Gunnar’s arm when he is about to lose his shit.I see his eyes widen and I realize what has just happened between the two of them. Ragnar looks at me with a smirk on his face and I know that he has seen the same. I keep my eyes on the Squad and Jenny is having a ball in my head, I see Kaiden react the same way as Gunnar to the female next to him. Chase and Hunter seem to be the only ones that are unaffected, but than again a twin usually share a Mate. It takes us the rest of the day to get through the interviews and once we are done I have a very long list of crimes and charges with the names of the males involved. Our reinforcements have decided to leave immediately, so the females feel save enough to go back to their homes and I ask Rosa and the woman that helped Kaiden to stay for a little while longer. I don’t have to say anything as Ragnar tells his men that they will check the borders and check in with the Warriors the Council send to keep an eye on the borders. I send my findings over to the Council and quickly check in with Council-member Armas to fill him in. Once I am done I ask the women to join me in the kitchen for some coffee. “When you were helping Gunnar, did something strange happen?” I ask Rosa and I see her cheeks turning red before she nods her head. I turn my attention to the other woman and she nods her head as well. Before I start explaining anything to the both of them I ask the other woman for her name and she tells me her name is Anna. “Anna and Rosa, I need you to listen to me and please let me finish. What I have to say might sound crazy, but I have my own personal reasons to believe that what I am about to tell you is in fact true.” Both women nod at my request. I start telling them about my time at the Academy and what I found in the Archive, I tell them what Ragnar had learned from is Aunt over the years. And then I tell them about the situation between myself and Ragnar. Rosa and Anna stare at me with wide open eyes after I finish speaking, the look at one and other and then a huge smile appears on their faces. “You think that there is a possibility that they are our Mates?” Rosa asks and I nod my head.
