Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming
Zane’s face went pale, panic flooding his eyes. “These are all fake! Why would I ever do something to hurt the company? You’re framing me!” He shouted in a frenzy, voice echoing through the room. “You two set this up to kick me out! You're going to pay for this!” I gave him a calm smile and delivered the final blow. “If Mr. Zane has nothing to hide, then I suggest you explain everything to the werewolf authorities.” I sat down leisurely, quietly watching him unravel. The moment he heard the word authorities, Zane bolted for the door—only to be slammed to the ground by the bodyguards Aiden had stationed there. “I won’t let you get away with this!” he growled, still glaring at me even as he was pinned down. Aiden gave a flick of his wrist. The guards dragged Zane out and took him straight to the station. Once everyone else had left the room, Aiden shut the door and turned to me. “I don’t think it’s over,” he said flatly. “What do you mean?” I asked. “Zane won’t go down that easily,” Aiden muttered, eyes narrowing. “You’re saying he’s still got cards to play?” “I think he’s got a way to bounce back.” I frowned. “But he’s already been taken away. What else can he do?” “You saw how arrogant he was earlier,” Aiden said with a shake of his head. “Offending Eclipse Pack is no small thing. He must’ve made other preparations.” Turned out Aiden was right. The very next day, news came in that Zane had been released—cleared of all charges. Stunned, I headed straight to Aiden’s office. “He really did have a backup plan,” I muttered. “Yeah,” Aiden said grimly. “He joined Lawson Corp. They gave him an executive position.”I could feel my blood boil. “Let me guess—he used what he knew about Eclipse Corporation to strike a deal with them.” That rat. I should’ve knocked his teeth out when I had the chance. Aiden pressed his lips together, expression dark. “It doesn’t matter where he goes. What matters is that he’s holding sensitive Eclipse Corporation information. By joining Lawson Corp, he’s essentially siding with Thunder Pack. He’s going to hand over everything he knows—and that puts us at a huge disadvantage.” I clenched my fists. There was no need to guess what Zane’s next move would be. He now knew all about our upcoming jewelry launch, future plans, and strategic positioning. Whatever sabotage he had in mind, he now had the means to pull it off. “How did you mess with Lawson Corp last time?” I asked. Aiden’s eyes flickered. “Cost them three percent in quarterly profits.” “No wonder they’re still bitter. One big loss and they’re itching for revenge. And Zane’s the perfect weapon.” I rubbed my temples. “If that’s the case, they’re probably getting ready to strike back. We need to stay sharp.” “Let’s wait and see. We’ll move when they do.” I sighed. That was all we could do for now. Later that afternoon, the counterattack came. I saw it on my phone—Lawson Corp had just released a new piece of jewelry. And I recognized it instantly. It was my design. The one I’d created as the flagship for Eclipse Corporation’s shift into high-end products. They stole it—and rushed it to market. But as I examined the product more closely, something jumped out at me. The design looked flashy and unique—but it had a major flaw: it was incredibly uncomfortable to wear.Because of everything with Zane, I hadn’t had time to adjust the ergonomics. The piece was still in draft stage. Any skilled designer would’ve caught the flaw. But Lawson Corp? They trusted Zane too much. Big mistake. Serves them right. I grabbed a sketchpad and made the necessary adjustments to the design. I refined the shape, tweaked the layout, and made the piece both stylish and wearable. Then I took the updated draft and marched straight to Aiden’s office. “I’m going to launch this design—under Eclipse Corporation,” I told him directly. Aiden’s POV I stared at Raelyn, deep in thought. “Are you sure this won’t make people think we’re the ones copying Lawson Corp? They released it first.” Raelyn kept her cool. “Yeah, at first glance it might seem that way. But I’ve already prepared everything. I have solid proof this design originated at Eclipse Corporation.” I nodded, still hesitant. She noticed and tapped her chest. “Aiden, seriously? You’re doubting me now? Don’t forget—I drew this with my own two hands. Chill.” I shook my head. “I believe you. I’m just worried Lawson Corp will play dirty. If something happens, you might get caught in the crossfire. I’ll assign werewolf bodyguards from the pack to stay close to you, just in case.” Raelyn blinked in surprise, then broke into a mischievous smile. “Aiden, you really care about my safety, huh?” Her tone was smug. I was already regretting saying anything. “Cut the crap,” I snapped. “I just don’t want the company’s performance to suffer.” She kept grinning. “So you’re saying I’m important, then?” I couldn’t take her teasing anymore. “Go back to work!” She pouted. “You’re no fun,” she muttered, turning on her heel. She gave me one last side-eye before walking out the door. I let out a long breath and tried to calm down. Lately, my mood had been swinging wildly—and always because of her. This loss of control… it was seriously pissing me off.
