Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming

Chapter 46 My Evidence

Kendall was so arrogant because she was convinced that public restrooms in remote outdoor areas wouldn’t have surveillance. She thought that no matter what she said, the werewolf officer would believe her. I spoke slowly. “In that case, don’t blame me for being impolite.” Kendall lifted her chin proudly, looking at me with disbelief. I pulled out my phone and played a recording. Immediately, Kendall’s sharp, aggressive voice echoed from the speakers. “Raelyn, don’t think that getting me kicked out of Eclipse Corporation means I’m done. Just wait—one day, I’ll make you pay…” Her voice continued, “I got fired from Eclipse Corporation, and no other company would take me. All of this is your fault! You made my life hell, and I’m going to pay you back double…” And then, very clearly: “I’m going to hit you…” Alongside her voice were loud scuffles and shuffling footsteps—anyone could tell it was Kendall who started the attack. With every line played, Kendall’s face grew paler. “Officer, I believe this recording makes it quite clear. I did not assault Ms. Kendall. She was the one who attacked first. I acted purely in self-defense.” I looked directly at Kendall’s now-twisted expression, my tone icy. She never expected that the moment I saw her appear, I knew she wasn’t up to anything good—and secretly turned on my phone’s recorder. “You set me up! You provoked me on purpose just to record it and frame me!” Kendall screamed, her eyes full of hate. I gave a slow, mocking smile. “Didn’t you just say you'd take my last name if I had evidence? No need—I don’t want it tainted.” Then I turned to the werewolf officer and smiled. “Officer, I trust you’ll make the right decision.” A hint of guilt crossed the officer’s face. He stood and nodded to me. “Ms. Beck, my apologies. I misunderstood you earlier.” “It’s fine. But what are you planning to do with Ms. Kendall?” I asked, glancing at her.The officer turned to Kendall and said coldly, “Before the Moon Goddess, the laws of Arkadia have always been sacred and just. Ms. Kendall, you are guilty of initiating a violent confrontation. The sentence is three years of incarceration. However, if Ms. Beck agrees to mediation and declines to press charges, the sentence may be reduced at her discretion.” I raised an eyebrow. “So it’s up to me?” Kendall’s face changed instantly. She grabbed my sleeve and collapsed to the floor, crying. “Raelyn, I’m begging you—please let me go. I’m still young. I can’t go to prison!” I frowned. “Ms. Kendall, please calm down.” “Raelyn, I know I was awful before. I bullied you as a kid, and I did things I shouldn’t have at the company. I’m willing to make it up to you. But please don’t press charges—I don’t want to go to jail!” Kendall sobbed uncontrollably. I let out a cold laugh. “So now you admit you’re a horrible person. Save your begging for your cell—you’ll have plenty of time for reflection.” If you don’t cross me, I won’t cross you. But if you do, I’ll return it tenfold. Kendall saw the look in my eyes and collapsed to the floor in despair. The werewolf officer called in two colleagues to take her away and placed her in custody. “My apologies again, Ms. Beck. I’ll arrange a ride to take you home,” the officer said, still clearly embarrassed. I waved my hand. “It’s fine. I’ll go back on my own.” He didn’t insist. I said goodbye and left the police station. Just outside the doors, I saw Aiden and Adam hurrying toward me, both looking anxious. Seeing that I was unharmed, Aiden finally relaxed. Adam rushed over, gripping my shoulders. “Raelyn! What happened?” I gently pulled away and smiled. “It’s nothing. Just ran into Kendall. She tried to frame me, but ended up sending herself to jail.” “Kendall? I’ve heard of her. Not exactly someone you want to mess with. How’d you get the upper hand?” Adam’s curiosity lit up. “She tried to hit me, so I pushed her back. Then she accused me of assault. Coincidentally, I had turned on my phone recorder earlier to check my voice in the ad, and forgot to turn it off. It recorded everything.” I didn’t want to get into the details—better to keep things low-key. Aiden didn’t question it, but at the mention of Kendall’s name, his brow furrowed. “Didn’t I already blacklist her? I warned every company not to hire her. Anyone who does is declaring war on Eclipse Corporation. I didn’t expect she’d still be in the city.” “Maybe she holds a grudge against me, so she showed up to make a scene.” I shrugged, clearly fed up with the drama. Aiden’s eyes turned cold. “Don’t worry. She won’t be getting back up again.” Adam waved a hand. “Forget the shoot for now. Raelyn’s been through enough today. We can pick it up another day.” These two brothers—arrogant as they were—really did care about me. Since they’d come all the way to the station for me, I decided to continue shooting. Adam’s schedule was always packed. Delaying today would just mess up future plans. Seeing how determined I was, they didn’t press the issue. The shoot went smoothly from then on, continuing until nightfall. The ad wrapped successfully. Three days later, the ad was fully produced and aired across all major platforms. Just as I’d hoped— Within the first hour of release, sales of First Love and First Glance skyrocketed by 30%.
