Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming

Chapter 282 Returning to the Eclipse Pack

The moment I heard that, I nearly rolled my eyes into the back of my head. “Who are you calling unhealthy?” Aiden leaned in close, his voice a quiet murmur against my ear. “I think you’re unhealthy too.” My fingers shot out, pinching his side as I smiled through gritted teeth. “Care to repeat that?” His face twitched, though his tone stayed calm and collected. “Got it. Not skinny.” Satisfied with his revised answer, I released him. Then I got to work on Anna’s treatment. The process was complicated, but everything went smoothly in the end. Wiping the sweat from my forehead, I stepped out of the treatment room just as Randall hurried over. I smiled faintly. “Anna’s still resting. Make sure you keep her well-nourished; as for how you’re going to get her to eat, that’s for you, the dutiful boyfriend, to figure out.” “Got it, Raelyn. Thank you,” Randall said, his face full of gratitude. I waved him off. “We’re leaving now. And unless it’s an emergency, don’t message me. I’ve got other things to do.” With that, I tugged Aiden along and walked out. “Don’t worry,” I added coolly. “Unless something urgent comes up, I have no intention of seeking you out again.” After leaving Randall and Anna’s place, I called Joah and told him to get ready to fly back to Varken with us. The next morning, the three of us boarded a plane and left together. Once we arrived in Varken, I found a place for Joah to settle in before heading back to the Eclipse Pack with Aiden. On the way, I couldn’t help glancing at him. “So… what’s your plan with Geraldine?” We’d been so busy these past few days—dealing with Mr. Greg, helping Randall and Anna—that I hadn’t had a chance to ask. “Now that everything’s been handled, Geraldine and I… we’ll part ways cleanly. No ties left.”His answer left me thoroughly satisfied. “And then?” Aiden’s expression was calm but resolute. “Then, I’m going to make a public statement—clear up the rumors. Geraldine and I were never really together; it was all her fabrication. And more importantly, you are, without question, my fiancée.” I arched a brow. “Since you know your place, I won’t give you a hard time.” His lips curved slowly. “Thank you for your kindness, my luna.” Heat flared in my cheeks. “What are you saying—what luna?” “You’ll be mine sooner or later, and I’ll be the Eclipse Pack’s Alpha. Calling you my luna early isn’t inappropriate, is it? My luna.” His voice dropped, deep and rich, the word “luna” rolling off his tongue with a dark allure that made my ears burn. Good thing I wasn’t a sucker for voices; otherwise, I’d have been completely undone by his. I shot him a glare and turned my face away. When we arrived at the Eclipse Pack, Aiden stepped out first, opening my door with practiced courtesy and taking my hand as we walked inside the villa. But the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted by the sight of someone crying miserably. Geraldine sank to the floor before Robin, tears streaming down her face. The second she saw Aiden, she ran toward him and yelled, “Aiden, Aiden, you’re back! I saw the news—Raelyn ran away from the wedding. Did you go after her?” Then her gaze landed on me. She froze, her entire body going rigid. “Aiden, you brought Raelyn back with you?” “She’s my girlfriend. Why wouldn’t I?” Aiden’s voice was quiet, but it hit like a blade; the color drained from Geraldine’s face until she was pale as paper. “Aiden, I’m your girlfriend! How could you bring Raelyn back? Then what about the past few days? What were they?” I couldn’t stand her pitiful crying any longer; it grated on my nerves. “They were your bad luck,” I said flatly.Geraldine stiffened like a cat with its tail stepped on, her anger snapping to life. “Raelyn, who gave you the right to speak here?” A laugh escaped me, sharp and cold. “If I don’t have the right to speak, then do you? I don’t know how you cozied up to Mr. Greg, but sabotaging my relationship with Aiden? I’ve got a thousand reasons to throw you out.” Geraldine lifted her chin defiantly. “This is the Eclipse Pack. Mr. Robin likes me; he’d never kick me out!” Then she turned, as if seeking backup, her gaze landing on Robin. But Robin, for once, didn’t come to her defense. Instead, guilt clouded his expression as he looked at me. “I’m sorry, Raelyn. I…” I smiled faintly, unbothered. “It’s fine, Mr. Robin. You were desperate to save your wife; I understand.” “What do you mean?” Geraldine blinked, confusion flickering across her face. “You thought Mr. Greg promised to help you win over Aiden, didn’t you? But you didn’t know he kidnapped Aiden’s mother to blackmail him. Geraldine, these past weeks… it’s all been in your head. Now that everything’s out in the open, it’s time to wake up from your dream.” Geraldine stared at Aiden, disbelief etched across her face; but all she saw was the warmth in his gaze directed solely at me, and her complexion turned deathly white. Robin sighed, stepping in gently. “Geraldine, I know you like Aiden, but he and Raelyn have been promised to each other since the beginning. Even if you had something with him before, that’s in the past. It’s time to let go.” Her composure shattered completely. She stumbled back, shaking her head. “I don’t believe it… Mr. Robin, you’ve always liked me, haven’t you? Otherwise, why were you so good to me before—” “Geraldine,” I cut in coldly, my tone razor-sharp. “It’s one thing to be naïve, but don’t confuse delusion with reality. You really don’t know why he was good to you?” Her tears broke free as she let out a loud, broken sob. “Aiden, I love you so much… how can you treat me like this…” Aiden’s brows furrowed, irritation flickering across his face. “Enough. Stop crying. Go home if you’ve got nothing else to say; don’t embarrass yourself here.”
