Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming

Chapter 274 Livestream or Bust

Jackson’s voice was panicked on the other end of the line—something was seriously wrong. “Imperial Pack and all of Storme Pack’s companies have teamed up to suppress us,” he said. “It’s doing real damage. We’re starting to run low on capital.” “Can’t we get a loan?” I asked. “I tried,” Jackson replied hesitantly. “But word is, Mr. Greg issued an order—no one is allowed to lend money to Bluewater Corporation.” I frowned. The situation was worse than I’d expected. “Do what you can to stabilize the team and keep morale up,” I told him. “I’ll figure out the money.” After I hung up, Aiden immediately offered, “Let me help.” I shook my head. “No. If you get involved, Mr. Greg will just start targeting your company too. I’ll take the hit. There’s no need to drag you into it.” Aiden took my hand. “I’m not afraid of him.” “I’m not either,” I said firmly. “I only avoid him because he’s my grandfather, and I don’t want a full-on clash with him.” “Then maybe you should go low for a while?” Aiden suggested. “Lay low until things calm down.” I let out a sharp laugh. “Why hide? I’m going to face this head-on and make sure everyone sees me doing it.” Aiden blinked, clearly not expecting that. “What are you planning?” I turned toward Radix and smirked. “I’m going to livestream.” Radix practically shot up from the couch. “Wait—you’re going to stream?” “Yeah. Bluewater’s bleeding money. No loans. So… I’m going to try streaming again and see where that gets me.” Radix lit up. “That’s amazing! I’ll teach you—” “No need. I’ve got an account.” Radix blinked. “You have… an account?” I grinned and pulled up my Twitter profile. He leaned over to look and froze. “You’re Mist?! The number-one voice streamer? Eighty million followers? You’ve never even shown your face!” His eyes were practically glowing. “You could sell that account and cover your company’s entire debt. And you’re actually going to stream? You’re going to kill it!” I just smiled and shook my head. “Sell it? No way.” That account was from years ago. Back then, I’d started streaming just using my voice—sometimes audio chats, sometimes game commentary, sometimes vlogs. I had an early start and tried every style, and eventually, I skyrocketed to eighty million followers. At one point, someone offered a billion to buy the account. I turned it down. But now… it was time to use it again. Gilbert looked conflicted. “Won’t that expose your location? If people know you’re streaming from here, I’m toast.” I gave a mischievous grin. “Relax. I never show my face. No one knows it’s me. They won’t be able to trace where I’m broadcasting from.” Aiden chuckled. “Yeah… even someone who lived with you didn’t know.” I looked over at him sheepishly. “Hey, I just never got around to telling you. You know how it is. I’ve got a lot of identities.” He just smiled and tousled my hair. Clearly, he was used to surprises from me by now. “Alright then. I’ll start streaming tonight. Nine o’clock.” “What’s the theme?” I hadn’t decided yet, but Radix jumped to his feet. “Game stream! You’re in a gaming club—this is the perfect place to show off your skills!” I nodded. “That works. I’ve got a plan.” I glanced at Gilbert. “…Why are you looking at me like that?” he asked, suspicious. “Tonight’s theme is a full club challenge.”Gilbert’s eyes widened. “Wait—you’re challenging everyone in the club?” I shrugged. “Why not? You’re the finale. I need someone strong to anchor the end.” Gilbert groaned. “Why me…” But it was too late to back out. He reluctantly posted the event in the club’s group chat. As expected, everyone went wild. A livestream showdown? With the legendary mist? Everyone wanted in. At exactly 9 p.m., the stream went live. The view count shot up like a rocket. Within minutes, we had over a million viewers. I turned on my mic, and my crisp, sweet voice rang out across the stream: “Hey everyone! So glad to see you all tonight. Mist is going live with a fun little challenge. Just sit back and enjoy—and if you’ve got money, throw a little love. If not, your presence is more than enough.” Immediately, the gifts started flooding in. "Mist! I’ll send you bits on twitch if you’ll send me your Twitch handle!" I giggled. “Send me 100 bits, and I’ll tell you if I’ll send it.” The chat exploded with laughter. “Alright, let’s stop chatting and get this challenge started.” The first challenger was a newbie account. “Raelyn, I’m your fan. Can I play a match with you?” I chuckled. “Of course you can.” The stream’s popularity was insane. Before the first match even ended, the viewer count had passed three million. And we were only just getting started.
