Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming
I frowned but didn’t argue. I simply said softly, “It’s all a misunderstanding.” Madam Salvatore was furious. “You don’t have to like my son. But how could you agree to get along with my sons while secretly dating another werewolf? Raelyn, can you really say you haven’t let Mr. Robin down?” Robin had stayed silent all this time. But I knew if I didn’t explain, this Alpha might end up disappointed in me too. “Raelyn, the evidence is right in front of us. Just admit it already!” Adrian sneered, seizing the opportunity. “If you’d just left sooner, I might’ve been willing to forgive you.” I looked at him and shook my head slightly. “It’s not what you think. That man is just my senior.” “Senior? Who do you think you’re fooling?” Adrian’s cold gaze fell on me. “Raelyn, even if he is your so-called senior, no one acts that close unless there’s something going on. And here you are, still trying to lie your way out.” Robin furrowed his brows and looked at me, asking calmly, “Rae, is it true? Are you really involved with that Beta werewolf…” I cut him off firmly. “Alpha, he really is just my senior. If you don’t believe me, I can call him right now.” Madam Salvatore gave a mocking smile. “And what would that prove? If the two of you coordinated your story ahead of time, no one would be able to tell the difference.” I was starting to get a headache. At this point, there really was no easy way to explain things. Just then, Adam—who had been scrolling through the news—suddenly spoke up in surprise. “Look! The Ashix Pack’s heir just posted a long tweet.” Everyone pulled out their phones to check. In the tweet, it said: As the heir to the Ashix Pack, I’ve already found my fated mate and will be getting married this June. I’ve always treated Raelyn like a little sister. Taking care of her was a task my teacher gave me. So there’s no need for anyone to overreact. I hope everyone online will show some decency and leave this young lady alone. As the heir to the Ashix Pack, Neels had won numerous international awards. His reputation was solid, and no one dared to question his words. The public sentiment shifted immediately. People even started speculating about who had taken the photo and why someone would go out of their way to frame me, an Omega. Just moments ago, Madam Salvatore had been breathing fire. Now, she was speechless. She looked at me, embarrassed. “Raelyn, I…” Robin, on the other hand, gave a satisfied smile. “I knew it. I knew I wasn’t wrong about you. Rae, you’ve been wronged.” I nodded with a gentle smile. “Mr. Robin, thank you for believing in me.” Adrian looked a little awkward now. He rubbed his nose and mumbled stubbornly, “Sorry. But I still don’t like you.” “I don’t need your approval. But don’t go around making baseless accusations.” I gave him a sideways glance and spoke steadily. Adrian clenched his fists. “You Omegas really don’t know your place!” “Enough. It’s over now. There’s no need to drag this out any longer.” Robin raised a hand to stop Adrian from saying anything else. The crowd finally began to disperse. Not far away, Aiden stood silently, watching me. I saw him and tilted my head with a grin. “Do you think I’ve been fooling around with another werewolf too?” Aiden didn’t say a word. He gave a small nod… and then shook his head. What was that supposed to mean? Did he believe me or not? With the matter settled, I immediately had Jackson investigate who was behind all this. Sure enough, it was Taylor. She had bribed a reporter to get the photo and leak it online. Looks like I’d gone too easy on her last time. Taylor still had the time and energy to pull these kinds of stunts. “Jackson, spread the word. Cancel all contracts with Bluewater Corporation and the Midnight Pack. We’re cutting all ties. Anything in progress gets terminated immediately.”
