Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming
Tammy's POV The moment I woke up and saw the news, I completely broke down. Because of this scandal, Moon Pack’s stock dropped five full points. Jensen didn’t scold me—he left early for the company to deal with the fallout. But what hurt me the most wasn’t the media backlash. It was Adrian. He went to a bar last night, didn’t come home, and even got cozy with some other woman. How could he do that? To him, was I—Moon Pack’s heiress, an actress in the spotlight—not even worth as much as some random bar girl? The more I thought about it, the more I felt wronged. I threw myself onto the couch and started crying all over again. "Alright, Tammy, don’t overthink it. This won’t ruin your career. You don’t need to worry too much." Brandon came over and let me lean on his shoulder, gently patting my back to comfort me. I sniffled and shook my head. "That’s not what I’m worried about." "Then what? Are you still thinking about that Adrian getting handsy with some she-wolf at a bar? I told you already, he’s no good. But you wouldn’t listen. Look at what happened now—wasn’t I right?" Instead of comforting me, Brandon’s words only made me feel worse. Suddenly, the housekeeper walked in looking anxious. "Ma’am, there’s a crowd outside. Ms. Beck and Mr. Salvatore’s car is stuck at the gate." My head shot up. "You mean Raelynn’s here?" "Yes, they’re just outside. I came to ask if you want me to open the back gate and let them in." I nodded quickly. "Yes, go now! And tell them to be careful. Don’t let anyone see them." If fans or reporters found out I was still in contact with Raelynn, they might go after her next. Brandon clearly wasn’t thrilled. He let out a cold snort. "Don’t get your hopes up. That guy Adrian drank himself stupid last night. He’s definitely not coming."I muttered a quiet "oh," disappointment swelling in my chest. Soon after, Raelynn and Aiden made it inside. "Raelynn, you’re here!" I rushed into her arms and immediately started sobbing again. "It’s okay, I know everything. Don’t cry, I’ll help you fix this." I shook my head helplessly. "My agent just called. They said if I can’t fix this scandal within three days, the company’s terminating my contract. What do I do?" Every picture out there is real. My feelings for Adrian are real. The only thing we never did was actually get together. How am I supposed to spin this? Even PR can’t explain it away. "Tammy," Raelynn said seriously, "did you tell anyone about this—about your feelings for Adrian?" I froze. "About that? I don’t think I told anyone besides you guys. Oh… and my cousin." Raelynn slowly turned her gaze toward Brandon. Feeling her eyes on him, Brandon snapped angrily, "What are you looking at me for? She’s my cousin. Why would I do something to hurt her?" Raelynn raised an eyebrow. "I didn’t say anything. Why are you so defensive?" "Maybe it was one of you trying to sabotage her! Trying to ruin her so she can’t be with Adrian. Your Eclipse Pack’s influence is huge. It wouldn’t be surprising if you all look down on us Moon Pack nobodies." Raelynn's POV There’s definitely something off about this Brandon. Suddenly, my phone buzzed. A message from Jackson. After skimming through it, I quickly pieced things together. "Brandon, where have you been recently?" He didn’t seem fazed by the question. Lighting a cigarette, he puffed casually like some rebellious teenager. "Nowhere. Just school and here. Why? You think I did it?" "Then why do you owe so much in gambling debt?" His face instantly darkened."You racked up quite a bit—three million." When I said the exact amount out loud, Brandon visibly panicked. "Where did you see that?" I smiled faintly. "Doesn’t matter where I saw it. What matters is that your account just received three million today. And you paid off all your debts." I still didn’t know who wired the money, but that was more than enough to prove Brandon was up to something. "What does that have to do with Tammy’s scandal?" I couldn’t help but laugh. "So you're still pretending you had nothing to do with it?" Brandon avoided eye contact and turned to Tammy. "Tammy, do you really think I would do something like that to you?" "I… I don’t think so. Brandon’s always been good to me since we were kids. He’s always protected me. He wouldn’t… he couldn’t do this." I sighed. "Tammy, that’s exactly the blind spot he’s counting on. He knows you trust him, so he thinks he can get away with stabbing you in the back." Tammy stared at him in disbelief. "Is that true?" "Don’t listen to her! Why would I ever—" I cut him off, pushing forward. "Then explain where that money came from." Brandon’s eyes darted away. He had no answer.
