Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming

Chapter 175 My Card Is Yours to Spend

Aiden's POV I watched Raelyn’s expression and couldn’t help thinking, This wasn’t the reaction I expected. Even the passersby behind her looked more surprised than she did. Jace once told me, All women love roses—the more the better. So I bought every single rose they had. The entire flower shop was wiped clean. But judging by Raelyn’s expression, she didn’t exactly look thrilled. "You don’t like it?" I asked. Raelyn gave a strange smile. "Oh, I love it. Seriously, I really do. This is the first time I’ve seen someone confess their feelings with a whole truckload of roses." Well, if she said she loved it, then she must’ve liked it. She was probably just overwhelmed. In a few minutes, she’d process everything and come running into my arms, thrilled. Yeah, that had to be it. "As long as you like it. Next time, I’ll get you two truckloads," I said. Her smile instantly disappeared. "This is great and all, but don’t do this again." I was confused. "Wait… didn’t you just say you liked it?" "Aiden, what exactly are you planning to do with all these roses?" I thought about it and said, "Toss them?" She rolled her eyes. "Throw them all out? Aiden, are you out of your mind?" I thought she was upset about me wasting money, so I pulled out a bank card and placed it in her hand. "Here," I said. "This card has everything I own. All of my personal savings. Since you’re my girlfriend now, it’s yours. That way, you can keep me from doing something reckless like this again." Raelyn blinked, stunned. She looked at the card but didn’t take it. Instead, she shook her head. "I don’t want your card." "Keep it. One day, Eclipse Pack will be yours too." I didn’t say it loudly, but the werewolves watching behind us clearly heard every word."Did you hear that? Mr. Salvatore just dropped a romantic line!" "Honestly, it makes sense. When a guy finds real love, this kind of stuff just comes naturally." "I’m not even into money. But every moment that touches me somehow, it always involves money." "When will I meet a man like Mr. Salvatore?" "Girl, dream all you want, just don’t get your hopes up." I couldn’t help but smile a little at their chatter. If they were all so moved, Raelyn had to feel the same… right? "If you really don’t want them, maybe we can just give them to everyone at the company," Raelyn said, glancing at the growing crowd. Before I could respond, the group behind us exploded. "Thank you, Mrs. Salvatore!" Hearing them call her that made me incredibly happy. Guess all my efforts weren’t wasted after all. … Raelyn's POV A bunch of werewolves—men and women—rushed to grab the roses. I pulled Aiden aside with a sigh, trying to refocus on what mattered. "Should we head to the hospital to check on Mr. Robin?" Aiden shook his head. "No need. Alex already went. He said he’ll take care of Dad for now." "Alex?" I couldn’t believe it. The same Alex who was always distant and sharp-tongued was now volunteering to help? "Yeah, I honestly thought he just wanted time off to mess around, but he’s really grown up a lot." Aiden actually sounded a little impressed as he mentioned Alex. "He told me I should stay focused on the company, and he’ll handle things at home." Alex had spoken up for me at the executive meeting today and even gave me his seat, and now he was helping with Robin too. Maybe he really had changed."So where are we going now? Back to Eclipse Pack?" Aiden’s gaze turned cold. "We’re going to find Andrix. I want answers." That caught me off guard. "Andrix? Did you set up a meeting?" "I just called him. We’re meeting at seven tonight. He agreed." I had no idea what Andrix might be planning, and a wave of unease rose in my chest. "Then I’m going with you. It’s safer that way." "Alright." We left the crowd scrambling for flowers, and Aiden drove us to a café near the company. As soon as we walked in, we spotted Andrix sitting alone in the corner, sunglasses on. When we approached, there were already two cups of coffee on the table, both still steaming. "What’s up, Aiden? Why’d you call me here?" Andrix removed his sunglasses and looked at us. I narrowed my eyes. "Really, Andrix? You’re going to play dumb now? That’s low—even for you." "Low? Come on, Raelyn, don’t you think that’s a bit much?" Andrix took a slow sip of his coffee, smiling faintly. "If I’m fake, then what does that make Mr. Robin?" Aiden’s eyes darkened. The chill in his gaze was unmistakable. "Andrix, you’ve known Dad for years. Don’t pretend you don’t know what kind of man he really is."
