Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming

Chapter 164 Four Men, One Woman

Seeing him in my yard caught me off guard. Randail rose slowly, unhurried. “You’ve been gone for two days. I thought something might’ve happened to you.” “What are you doing in my yard?” I asked. “Oh, well, my rocking chair broke, and I really wanted to sit in one. I hope you don’t mind.” He gave a faint, polite smile and added, “I wanted to ask if you’d reconsider joining our company. Whatever Aiden offers, I can offer the same; what he can’t give, I can. So, what do you think? Would you be willing to think it over more seriously?” I smiled and was just about to shake my head when Aiden appeared out of nowhere. He leveled a cold glare at Randail. “There’s no need for President Yu to worry. Raelyn is doing just fine at Eclipse Corporation, there’s no need for her to join your company.” “I’m speaking to Ms. Beck, not Mr. Aiden. Mr. Aiden, it’s best you not meddle in others’ business.” That jab pushed Aiden over the edge. He pulled me tightly into his arms, glaring at Randail. “Then what if I said Raelyn is my fiancee? If I want to intervene in who my fiancee talks to, especially when it’s a man with ulterior motives, I’d say that’s perfectly reasonable.” He put heavy emphasis on the words “ulterior motives.” Randail’s expression darkened instantly. Gritting his teeth, he forced out a response. “In that case, I guess we’ll just see if Mr. Aiden and Ms. Beck actually make it to the end.” With that, Randail turned and stormed off. Watching him go, I sighed and explained, “I’m really not that close to him; we hardly interact at all.” “I know.” Aiden stared at me, his voice low and serious. “He’s clearly targeting you. His words sound nice, but just like Andrix, he only sees you as a pawn. It’s all about gain. Stay away from him before you get dragged into something.” His warning felt sincere; I nodded seriously. “I understand.” Randail definitely had an agenda, I could see that. I just didn’t know yet what it was. But clearly, Aiden was already annoyed by it; I needed to be more careful around him. I went inside, packed up a few things, and followed Aiden back to the Eclipse Pack villa. As soon as we walked in, Salvatore came over and took my hand, greeting me warmly.“Raelyn, you’ve been gone for so long, where’ve you been?” Her words told me Adam hadn’t shared where I’d been the past few days. I felt slightly relieved. I didn’t tell the truth; I left out anything about the pack and just said I’d been helping take care of Adam and had become his agent, that sort of thing. After hearing my explanation, Madam Salvatore nodded in reassurance. “Good. Come on, let’s eat. Adam said you’d be back today, so I made lots of delicious dishes just for you.” “Thank you, madam.” It was the weekend, so all the Eclipse Pack family members were home. I sat down to have dinner with them. Robin looked at me and suddenly asked, very seriously, “Raelyn, it’s been over six months now. So which one of my sons are you actually interested in?” Madam Salvatore chimed in with a smile, “Of course it’s Aiden! You’ve been traveling a lot, so maybe you didn’t know, but Aiden and Raelyn get along really well. If he weren’t so emotionally slow and Raelyn a little shy, the two of them would’ve been together by now.” Robin turned to me, smiling kindly. “Is that true, Raelyn? Do you really like Aiden?” I didn’t know what to say. I lowered my head, cheeks growing warm. Adam muttered under his breath, clearly unhappy, “Raelyn’s not Aiden’s property. Why does everyone assume she can only like him? Maybe she likes me.” “Oh? You like Raelyn too?” Robin raised his brows slightly; he clearly hadn’t expected Adam to have feelings for me as well. Andrix pressed his lips together. “I like her too.” Alex added, “Same here.” Robin’s eyes swept over each of them, finally landing on Adrian. He awkwardly looked away. “Not me. Don’t look at me.” Robin fell silent. He seemed deep in thought before finally saying, “Alright. Let’s do it this way, Raelyn will choose. Whoever she picks, the rest of you will back off.” I stared at the group in front of me, my head pounding. Logically, I should’ve chosen Aiden. But with all four of them staring at me so expectantly, I couldn’t even get his name out.“Raelyn, well? Who are you picking?” Adam’s gaze landed on Aiden with a hint of malice, his words even sharper. “You’d better choose carefully.” I took a deep breath. “I’m not picking. Okay?” Aiden’s expression darkened immediately. “Why not?” He looked like a thundercloud about to explode and I knew I’d accidentally set him off. My heart skipped a beat. “Raelyn, just pick someone already. Why are you hesitating like that?” Alex, as always, delivered his blunt remarks with a jab. “Fine. I pick Aiden.” Alex huffed. “Now that’s more like it.”
