Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming

Chapter 120 Negotiation

Aiden’s POV I looked at Raelyn, feeling a little awkward. I wanted to say something, but before I could speak, Raelyn said, “I’m sorry.” I froze for a second. I hadn’t expected her to apologize. She’d always been proud, never one to easily admit fault. But today, she was different. “I know my attitude wasn’t great. I’m apologizing for that. As for what happened today—whether you think I falsely accused her, or acted out of emotion—that’s your opinion. I’ll accept it,” Raelyn said sincerely, meeting my eyes. Hearing that, I felt a wave of happiness and said, “I believe you.” Raelyn looked surprised. “You believe me? Why? Didn’t you say before that you couldn’t possibly suspect Taylor?” “That’s not what I meant,” I said, rubbing my forehead. “I didn’t suspect Taylor before because of our long history. But today… I noticed something.” Raelyn’s eyes locked onto mine. “What did you notice?” I sighed. “When we were kids, Taylor and Andrix didn’t get along. She used to look down on him for being gentle and soft, and she’d stick to me like glue instead.” Raelyn chuckled. “Sounds like Mr. Aiden was quite the childhood heartthrob. No wonder she was so attached.” “Alright, enough joking,” I said seriously. “So for Andrix to speak up in Taylor’s defense—that’s something I never expected.” “So you believe me now?” “I do. You were calm and composed. Taylor, on the other hand, was panicked. It’s hard not to be suspicious of her.” Every word I said came from the heart. Raelyn’s expression softened. “So, what are you planning to do next?” she asked.“Now I think neither Taylor nor Andrix can be trusted. It’s already been a week, and Mom still hasn’t woken up. I feel like something’s off. I’m planning to transfer her to another hospital.” Raelyn gave me a playful wink. “Looks like you’re not as clueless as I thought.” Seeing her return to her old self lifted a weight from my chest. For the first time in days, I felt like I could breathe. “In that case, let me help. We can’t let Taylor and Andrix realize we’re onto them.” “No need. I’ve got a plan,” she said confidently. I nodded. “Alright then. Go all out. If you need anything, call me anytime.” Raelyn’s POV I nodded. Aiden still didn’t know I was the president of Bluewater Corporation, and I didn’t plan to tell him yet. The fact that he trusted me—that was enough. Just then, my phone rang. A strange number lit up the screen. The voice on the other end sounded familiar. That’s when I remembered—I had spent too long at the hospital and was late meeting Simon. “I’ll be there soon,” I said, then hung up. I smiled at Aiden. “I’ve got something to take care of. I’m heading out.” He nodded. “Alright.” After parting with Aiden, I went to a nearby café, where I’d arranged to meet Simon. As I walked in, I spotted him at a table, sipping coffee. He looked as calm and reserved as his name suggested. You’d never guess he was the same man who had lost control the night before. “Ms. Raelyn, please have a seat,” he said. I smiled and sat down. “So, you’ve made up your mind to join light Corp?” Simon looked at me, eyes slightly red. “Thank you, Ms. Raelyn.” “What for?”He took a deep breath. “I know you transferred two million into my account last night. That’s enough to pay for my wife’s treatment.” I raised an eyebrow. “And how do you know it was me?” “Ms. Raelyn, I’m completely alone right now. You’re the only person who offered me help. Who else could it be?” “It’s no big deal. You deserve it, don’t you?” I smiled. “Think of it as… Tammy’s ransom.” Simon’s face flushed with shame. I’d already looked into it. He’d kidnapped Tammy because he was desperate. His wife was seriously ill, and he had no money for treatment. In a moment of despair, he made a reckless choice, hoping to get ransom money. “I’m sorry… I wasn’t thinking straight.” I waved it off. “Forget it. The other million is your signing bonus. Welcome to light Corp.” Simon’s hands trembled as he nodded. “Thank you. I won’t let you down. I’ll give light Corp everything I’ve got!” “No need to be so dramatic, Mr. Simon.” Two million to win the loyalty of a top-tier agent? Worth it. “If there’s nothing else, report to light Corp tomorrow. Just give them my name,” I said, getting up to leave. But Simon suddenly called out, “Ms. Raelyn!” I turned back, puzzled. “What is it?” He hesitated, then finally blurted out, “You’re the president of Bluewater Corporation, aren’t you?”
