She Wore Many Masks, and Ruled Them All

Chapter 492 The Oliver Family’s Little Princess

“Exactly!” Kaizen chimed in, his voice full of pride. “I know plenty of outstanding young men—elite heirs from the best families—far better than some people I could name.” As he spoke, his sharp gaze flicked deliberately toward Lucas. Lucas broke into a cold sweat and quickly straightened. “Grandpa, I swear—I’ll cherish Sloane for the rest of my life. If you’re worried, I’ll sign a prenuptial agreement right now and transfer all my assets to her name.” Kaizen snorted. “Who wants your money? Do you think our Oliver family is short on that?” “Exactly!” Jeffrey echoed, nodding vigorously. But even as he spoke, he gave the butler a discreet look. “Go fetch the ‘Global Top Young Elites List’ from my study…” Seeing that, Sloane threw herself into Jeffrey’s arms, clinging to his sleeve and pouting playfully. “Grandpa, Lucas treats me so well. Let’s not change him for now, okay?” Jeffrey’s heart softened instantly, though he still tried to sound stern. “Fine, fine—we’ll wait and see. But I’m keeping him under observation.”“Exactly!” Kaizen added quickly. “Starting tomorrow, he’s running morning drills with me at five a.m. sharp!” Lucas didn’t hesitate. “Of course, Uncle!” “Who’s your uncle?” Kaizen barked, though his tone softened when Sloane looked up at him with tear-bright eyes. He coughed awkwardly. “…At least pass the three-month probation first.” “Come on,” Jeffrey said eagerly, taking Sloane’s hand. “Grandpa has a gift for you.” “I also have something for you,” Kaizen added, walking on her other side. Together, they made their way downstairs—Kaizen and Jeffrey each guarding one side of Sloane as if she were a priceless treasure, leaving Lucas trailing helplessly behind. Shawn leaned over the railing, grinning mischievously. “You’re in for it now, buddy!” Downstairs, a line of uniformed servants stood waiting in perfect formation. Each one held an exquisite gift box in their hands. “My dear granddaughter,” Jeffrey announced proudly, “these are all from me—your welcome-home gifts.”At his signal, the butler stepped forward and opened the boxes one by one. The first box held a gleaming ring of keys. “These belong to ten villas in Stonebridge’s most exclusive neighborhood—all in your name.” The second box contained a row of luxury car keys. “Limited-edition sports cars—one in every color.” The third box was a neatly bound stack of documents. “Five percent of Oliver Group’s shares. As of today, you’re a member of the board.” Sloane’s breath caught. Her eyes filled with tears. “Grandpa… this is too much…” “Too much? Nonsense!” Kaizen interjected, clapping his hands. “My gifts are even better!” A team of bodyguards marched in, each carrying a steel safe. When they opened them, the room filled with blinding brilliance. “This,” Kaizen said proudly, “is the only pigeon-blood ruby necklace of its kind in the world.” He pointed to another open case. “This emerald set was meant for your mother—but it’s yours now.”He gestured grandly toward the rest. “And these are all my diamond collections from over the years. They’re yours, too!” Sloane stared at the glittering treasures stacked before her, utterly overwhelmed. Her tears spilled freely as she turned and threw herself into Jeffrey’s embrace. “Grandpa… Uncle… I’m so happy…” Jeffrey stroked her back, his own voice thick with emotion. “Silly child… this is just the beginning. I’m going to hold the grandest banquet in Stonebridge to announce it to the world—our Oliver family’s little princess has come home.”
