Shining Through the Chaos with My Bulldog

Chapter 186 The Clueless Man in the Planet

Eat? Nobody here cared about food. Natalie glanced around. Every man's eyes were locked on the women in their arms. Not one of them had their attention on the feast. They looked like they could devour the girls whole. It didn't take long before the party wrapped up. The men, stuffed with meat and drink, hurried off with their dates, rushing back to their villas. Natalie and Cassian slipped out with the crowd, making a quiet retreat. Once everyone else had gone, the garden was left with only Magnus, Kelvin, and two women at their side. Magnus's smile vanished. He slapped Amber hard across the face. "Useless! You can't even reel in one man!"Amber was the one he had planted next to Kash. That guy was always hovering around Bonnie, and Magnus worried Kash might win her over. So, he'd sent Amber to wedge herself between them. Instead, Kash had taken the chance to make a heartfelt confession. Furious, Magnus swept the dishes from the table, sending food crashing to the ground. The two women nearby screamed and dropped to their knees. Kelvin quickly tried to calm him. "Magnus, she's just a woman. Why get so worked up? If you want her, just take her. Have the boys drag her to your bed." He didn't expect Magnus to value Bonnie this much. Everyone at the base knew Amber was Magnus's favorite lover, yet he had handed her over to Kash. And Kash didn't appreciate the beauty; he even humiliated her in public, leaving Magnus embarrassed. Magnus shook his head. "With a woman like Bonnie, you don't use force. You win her over with charm. That's the only way." She could snap a man's neck with one move. Was he crazy enough to try brute force? "What I want," Magnus said, his tone calm but heavy, "is for her to stay by my side willingly, to be my wife, not just some fling." Amber, who stood aside, lifted her eyes. Jealousy burned in them. Why was she treated like a toy, while Bonnie was treated like a queen? How was Bonnie any better than her? Kelvin frowned at his words. "Then should I get rid of Kash?" Magnus thought for a moment. "Didn't you say today that he fought almost as well as you? Took down several men with ease?" Kelvin's combat skills were top-tier. If even he admitted Kash was strong, then Kash wasn't ordinary. Kelvin gave a cold laugh. "Magnus, I don't care how tough he is. He won't be tougher than the gun on my hip." He patted the pistol hidden under his jacket. Magnus considered it, then shook his head again. "I let him live in the inner wall because he promised to turn over a huge amount of food every month. Kill him, and we lose all that." He wanted the woman and the supplies. Magnus wouldn't give up on either of them. Kelvin drew his brows together and reminded him, "Magnus, think about it. If Kash has that much food, why would he join us in the first place? What if he's hiding something?"Magnus spoke with full confidence. "The richer your supplies, the more you need the protection of a powerful base. Don't join us? Then you'll be stripped clean with nothing left." Kelvin nodded. He trusted Magnus's judgment. The two had built this base together. Magnus had brains, while Kelvin had the muscle. The two of them had worked together to make it work. When it came to fighting, Kelvin could handle it. But when it came to decisions, Magnus was the one he listened to. He asked respectfully, "Magnus, what's your plan next?" "Plan?" Magnus rolled his eyes, then grinned as he pulled Amber close. "I've got a way."He wrapped an arm around her waist, taking advantage of her as he walked back toward his villa. Kelvin saw it and didn't press further. He simply grabbed another woman and headed back to his place. On the other side, Natalie and Cassian walked side by side. Natalie thought of the ridiculous scene earlier and burst out laughing. "Mr. Holland, that was something. You actually elbowed a pretty girl in the face." It wasn't something you saw every day. You heard stories of gentlemen keeping their distance, but never about one knocking a woman flat. Cassian stayed stone-faced and blunt. "I'm no gentleman. I don't have a rule against hitting women." He made it clear. If someone annoyed him, he'd strike them—man or woman.Natalie raised her brows. "Oh? Then why don't you hit me?" She had spread rumors about him and injured his arm, and still he hadn't touched her. That was way worse than a woman hugging his neck. Cassian answered seriously, "Because I can't beat you." Natalie burst out laughing. "Are you kidding me?" Back at Ironclaw Base, she had seen how tough he was. Ordinary people couldn't even get close to him. Her curiosity grew. "Kash, how about we spar sometime?" Cassian gave a small nod. Natalie looked at him again, remembering that shocking elbow strike that stunned the whole room. She sighed."That Amber is truly pitiful. You may truly be the most clueless man on the planet." Cassian's expression didn't change. "I don't think so."
