Joseph’s p.o.v. I had felt a little annoyed with the little shocks I got and I thought that Jenna was teasing me, only to find out that she was no longer lying on my chest. Mom, Grandma and Nanna had all told me at one time or another that in the old days our Shifters would call out the word Mate or Mine and I was ecstatic when I heard Griffin growl those words at Jocelyn, but hearing Erylis repeating those words made my day. This Christmas is going to be the best Christmas ever and I have had quite a few of those in my life, especially after I got adopted. After talking to Joey and Herold, we enjoy a peaceful breakfast in our own dining room. Indigo seems a bit nervous to let everyone know that she is now their Luna, but I know that everyone is already aware of it. “Why don’t I ask Mom and Dad to gather their leadership, my family and yours, Inti? It saves us from having to repeat the story over and over again, it also might help your Luna to get rid of her jitters.” I say teasingly and I quickly duck out of the way, Indigo’s mug flies over my head to smash against the wall.I link Mom with my request, but I close the link before she can ask any questions. She will find out with the rest of them and I can’t help the smile that appears on my face. Jenna keeps looking from Indigo to Jocelyn, but she doesn’t say a word. I am not sure if she understands the meaning of the mark on Indigo’s neck or if she understood the meaning of our conversation with Herold. “Daddy, why doesn’t Mommy have one?” She asks, while she is staring at Indigo’s mark. “Mommy will have one before the day is over, Daddy wants to give it to Mommy when we are all alone.” I say and the disgusted look on her face makes me wonder how much she really understands. “Eww, you wanna kiss Mommy.” She says and I can’t help the chuckle that escapes my lips. I will not tell her that there is a lot more I want to do with Jocelyn, that little girl is way to smart for my liking and I am reminded again of the fact that she is a Beta. Everyone is present in the Alpha office on the ground floor and everyone is staring at me for answers, answers I know that none of the suspects. Well, maybe Mom and Dad.“Inti and I have discovered that we can find a true Mate-bond in a different way, different from how our parents found their true Mate-bond. It almost feels as if there is a chain being formed, one link at the time and it seems to happen faster when people are closer together for a period of time. If it works the way I believe it works, than it takes about a week to form that bond and it might be faster if they spend almost every day together.” I can see my siblings looking at me, they must think that I have lost my mind. “This morning I woke up to little shocks, all over my body and I thought Jenna was teasing me. Problem with that explanation, Jenna wasn’t lying on my chest anymore. There was only one person lying next to me and that was Jocelyn. Both Griffin and Erylis have acknowledged that they are Mates.” I say. Asteria slowly gets up, her eyes fixated on Indigo and I can see tears forming in her eyes. She is looking at a mark that is probably similar to a mark she once had and she holds on to both her Son and Daughter in law, sobbing softly as she hugs them Inti introduces Indigo as his Luna, when we get in to the main living room and he has to explain that it is a true Mate-bond.Jocelyn and I back up his story and everyone is cheering and howling at the news of finally having a Luna again. One after the other present gets taken from under the tree and I see Dad eyeing the small package he got, but I doubt he realizes who it might be from. He slowly pulls the paper out of the way and I am staring at the little piece of art that Joey made, I wonder if Dad even knows what it means. Joey managed to make a Serch Bythol, a Celtic symbol that is a symbol of love and can also mean the unbreakable bond between family. Dad slowly looks up at me, but I shake my head and I see tears form in his eyes when he realizes who actually made it. “Thank you, Joey. Thank you for accepting me into your life.” He says, while his arms wrap around his Grandson. Mom is the next one to get her small gift and she thanks Jenna in the same way that Dad thank Joey, they may not be family by blood but they sure as hell are family by choice. An hour after lunch I finally manage to sneak away with Jocelyn and she giggles as I lift her onto my shoulder, making a run for our Pack-house. I burst through the door and almost drop Jocelyn on the floor, there on the wall is the painting of Griffin and Linus. “Do you like it?” Jocelyn asks and I turn towards her with a smile on my face. “How did you manage to get it from her?” I ask and I know that Jocelyn knows who I am talking about. “I asked her and when she asked me why I wanted it, I told her the truth. That I felt it belonged with you and that it belonged in our Pack-house. When she asked me what you meant to me, I also told her the truth and that was all it took.” Jocelyn says with a smile. Yeah, Aunt Eos’ family has an odd family. Nothing can be done in a normal fashion, at least not most of the time.
