Harvest Moon: Bound to My Four Stepbrothers

Chapter 651 Feeling Off

Indigo’s p.o.v. Kardia doesn’t want to enter the territory, but Ronion pushes her across the border and doesn’t stop pushing her until we reach the burning Pack-house. I don’t want to see the wounded or the dead, I never had the stomach for it and that is why I chose to learn how to cook. It keeps me busy and my mind of the situation around me. “You need to stay in the SUV, Baby. Jocelyn will be back and then we will leave this territory again.” I say to Jenna, as I take a look at Faye and she is still in a deep sleep. Some of the Omegas stay with the SUVs and we try to keep any Pups and Youngsters that wake up from leaving the SUV, they don’t need to see what has happened here. They will probably see enough ugliness from this war and the longer we can keep them from it, the better. Joey keeps an eye on Jenna and Faye, he has taken on the role of big Brother and he seems to enjoy the time he gets to spend with them. I take a look at the bandage on Joey’s shoulder and I gently remove it to see if it needs to be cleaned, but it looks really calm. I replace the bandage and help him back into his shirt, before I move to the SUV next to me. “Indigo, where is Jocelyn?” Joey asks in a whisper and before I answer him, I look down at a sleeping Jenna. “She went into the dungeons with Gamma Joseph, there are Pack-members hiding down there and she wants to make sure that nothing spooks them.” I answer him. I know exactly where she is, we keep the other aware of our position at all times. We do it to keep the other from panicking and to know where to look in case of trouble. “Indigo, can you bring a set of Faye’s clothing? We have a new-born here and nothing to put him in.” I hear Doc ask in my head and I walk to the back of the SUV. I open the bag that holds her clothes and I find a neutral colored sweatpants with a matching sweater, I grab a diaper before I close the trunk. An Omega pops up next to me with the baby boy in her arms and we place him on the backseat next to Joey. Once he is dressed I place him in Joey’s arm and we try to feed him a bottle, emphasize on try because he is reluctant to eat.Looking after the new-born takes my mind of my surroundings and I sigh in relief when we get the order to move out. Kardia moves to the front of the convoy and she moves a little closer to Ronion, she likes that he makes her feel safe. Kardia feels a lot better by the time the sun comes up and she really enjoys running lead with Ronion, even though the Warriors are running in front of us. My eyes keep shifting to the tree line, but I haven’t seen any movement and I am not sure if we are going to see any movement today. At least not while we are on our way to the clearing and I hope that this stop hasn’t messed up with our schedule. The Warriors start too slow down and Kardia looks at Ronion to see what that is about, she doesn’t have to wait for an answer too long. “Wolves, straight ahead.” I hear a voice say through the mind-link and Kardia moves to the side of the convoy, letting herself fall back. Ronion nods his head at her, she knew what to do without him telling her and he seems to approve of her move down the line. I can fight and I am damn good at it, but I would rather not show my hand to an enemy. The SUVs slow down as some of the warriors move to the front and all we can do now is what for whatever is coming our way. I let very scenario going through my head and there are quite a few of them. They could be making their way to safety, just like us. They could be running from someone, they could be chasing after someone or they might have just caught whoever they were chasing. We won’t know what those Wolves have been through, until we are face to face with them and I hope it isn’t an enemy that might try to attack us or to grab one of our females. “An Alpha with three males and a female, none of them are in Wolf form.” I hear through the mind-link and I want to head back to the front, but Kardia is refusing to return to the front. As a matter of fact she lets herself fall back even further and she keeps out of sight of the Wolves we are about to encounter. Griffin walks past me, but Erylis stays right behind me and I wait for someone to give us the all clear. “Kardia, why are you hiding?” I hear Inti ask and I hope she can tell him what is going on. “Not sure, Alpha. Something feels off, but I can’t tell you what that is at the moment.” Kardia answers his question. Two Warriors move closer to my side, looks like Ronion or Inti is taking Kardia’s uneasy feeling serious and Erylis moves closer a little bit forward. Herold moves past us to the front and a few seconds later I see some of the people the Warrior was talking about, but I don’t recognize the three males that I can see. Ronion steps forward with four Warriors and the rest of them close the void spaces, making sure no one can get through. “What can we do for you?” I hear Inti ask and for a moment it is deadly quiet. “Hand over every female and we might let you live.” I hear an unfamiliar voice say and a male I don’t recognize walks into view, he is about Inti’s height with short brown hair. He has a murderous expression on his face and he has something familiar about him. “You heard my Father, hand over the females.” I hear a voice say, a voice I never thought I would hear again.
