Harvest Moon: Bound to My Four Stepbrothers

Chapter 595 Asleep

Jazzy "Jim, you might want to reconsider that answer. You never missed the opportunity to put me down, to belittle me, and yet neither one of you was home that morning. It was too early for either one of you to have been out of the house, so you knew exactly what was going to happen," I respond as I lock eyes with my Father. His mouth opens and closes a few times, but he has no response to my statement, and my Mother is looking terrified as she looks from me to my Father. I hear the door open, and the scowl on Lance's face tells me that Colton found whoever they brought with them, but it surprises me to see my former Alpha when I turn around. "Jazzy, this has gone on long enough. You are coming home with us, right now," he growls, and Dusk is laughing her ass off. "I am sorry, Alpha. I think you forgot that I broke our Pack-bond, and I only take orders from Alpha Lakota," I say as I look up at him, and I see a smile appear on his face. "Do you really think a little Pack like this can stop us from taking back one of our own?" he asks, and I know he just made a colossal mistake, because he basically threatened our Pack. Lakota gets up out of her seat, and as she turns around I see the deadly look in her eyes; she will take him down if she has to. "I don't know who you think you are, but I suggest you get your ass out of here. I don't take kindly to threats towards my Pack, and I will never allow you to kidnap one of my Pack-members," I hear Lotus growl, and I see my parents baring their necks at the strength of her aura; even my former Alpha has to give up his struggle eventually. "Argos, Kobal," Lotus calls out, and both take a few steps forward. "Keep an eye on this Moron; if he opens his yap, you have my permission to shut it for him," she orders. "And, Alpha. I suggest you don't fight those two; they will take you down a notch if necessary." After Lakota sits down again, I turn my attention back to my visitors. "Who is going to answer my question? Why are you here for me now?" I ask, and I wait for one of them to respond. As I wait for an answer, Conan shows up with our coffee order, and I thank him through the mind-link for taking this task out of Josy's hands. I sip my latte, and every time I take a sip I allow my eyes to wander towards Tychon; it gives me the strength to not demand an answer immediately from anyone. I hear Denali and Tychon talk about what to get for lunch, and Keir occasionally butting in about his likes and dislikes, making the discussion between Brother and Sister even worse. Ruben is the one to finally answer my question. "I want you to come home; I know I made mistakes, and I will spend the rest of our lives making it up to you. We were paired together for a reason, and I want to show you that you are worthy of being the Mate of a Gamma," he says, and before I can stop her, Dusk roars out loud. "You rejected me for Sandra, you tried to rape me with the help of my parents, and now you're telling me I am worthy of being the Mate of a Gamma. Are you fucking kidding me?" Dusk growls. "You only want me back because Sandra dumped your sorry ass and no other female wants to become your chosen Mate. I accepted your rejection, and I haven't regretted it for a second. Even if you were the last male alive, I would never accept you as a Mate." Ruben stares at Dusk, and I know that I am truly done with him and my parents. I turn towards them and ask them why they agreed to leave the house that day. "Because as his fated Mate, you would be able to give him strong heirs, even if he rejected you and you accepted his rejection. It is your duty to give our Pack a strong Gamma heir to continue the bloodline," my Mother replies, and before Dusk can act on her anger, we feel Tychon's hands on our shoulders. "Calm down, Dusk. They are not worth it; they are not worthy of having you for a Daughter. Just calm down and let Jazzy have full control back," he says as he leans in closer, and Dusk retreats to the back of my head; knowing that he and Makucha are near calms her down enough to let me stay in control. I stare at Linda, and I know that I will never refer to them as my parents again. I am done with them, finally understanding what my Brothers had meant. To our parents, we were never anything more than a means to an end; they had hoped to gain status through our Mates, and even though Jim hated me for being a Lycan, he still hoped that I would have gotten more than a Gamma as my Mate. "I finally understand why my Brothers aren't here; they were right when they told me that the only thing that ever mattered to either of you was status. I didn't believe them when they told me that you tried to make them reject their fated Mates, but today has shown me that you are capable of the most despicable thing you can imagine. My offspring will never have to worry about me asking that of them, and I know their Father won't do that either. I am glad my Brothers got away from the two of you and that they refused to give up their happiness. I never want to see either of you ever again; I want nothing to do with you," I say before I get out of my seat and wrap my arms around Tychon. Ruben roars as he sees me in the arms of another male, and I hear a soft chuckle coming from Tychon. "Ruben, I want to thank you for being an ass and for rejecting Jazzy. Thanks to your stupidity, I get to spend the rest of my life with an amazing Mate, and I will cherish her every day for the rest of our lives. She will never have to wonder if I love her because she gave me offspring, because I will love her no matter what. So thank you for being an Idiot," Tychon says before he kisses me deeply. I lean closer to his body as I open my mouth for him, and I softly moan the moment I feel his tongue against mine. Without saying another word, Tychon guides me out of the diner, and we get followed by Keir and Denali. None of us is interested in what Lakota has to say to them; she can handle that on her own. Argos and Kobal are still there if she needs someone to help her out, and I know that Conan and Kanoa will keep Josy safe. Lakota I could feel the anger rising within Lotus as she listened to the people behind us, but Tychon's words have her rolling around in my head, and I am glad that Jazzy has her Mate by her side. Now all I have to do is deal with the Alpha and the rest of them, and if he makes one more threat, I will take war to his doorstep. "Alpha, I suggest you take your Pack-members and leave this territory. Make sure none of them ever comes back here; Jazzy made it clear she wants nothing to do with them," I say as I look at him. The look on his face tells me that I will probably be at war soon, but I don't give a flying fudge monkey about it. "Get this straight, little girl. Jazzy will return home, one way or the other, and there is nothing you can do about it," the Alpha responds. He turns on his heel and walks out the door, followed by Jazzy's parents and her former Mate. I feel Lance slipping his arms around me from behind, and I lean my head back against his chest. A few minutes later, Kanoa steps in front of me and hands me a memory stick with a smile on his face. We taped everything that was said, and I will send it to the Council to await their advice on this matter. The Law is on my side if I would want to go to war, but it is not something I would consider lightly. Most of my Pack-members chose to stay in hiding after their Pack convicted them of whatever crime, and I will not force them to come out of hiding; I will leave it up to them. There is one other thing I don't like about going to war with Jazzy's former Pack: if I am able to defeat the Alpha, I will become the Alpha of two separate Packs. I am not sure if his Son would be any good to take over the Pack; if Jazzy advises against it, I will have to find another solution. Luckily the Council will decide if I am allowed to go to war, and even if they approve it, I am not obligated to go to war; it will only be a confirmation that he crossed a line. First things first though, I need to contact Council-member Armas and tell him about what happened at the diner today. Then it will be a waiting game until the Council makes a decision, and after they have gotten back to me, I will need to figure out what I want to do. My call with Armas lasted about an hour, and right now all I want to do is crawl into bed and forget about this day for a while. Lance can feel my mood, and as he lifts me up bridal style, Cian and Quinn walk into my office. "Get some rest, Alpha. Cian and I will take care of things on this end; we will link you if there is anything we think you should know," Quinn says. I think we made it up halfway to our room when I fell asleep in Lance's arms, but I can't be too sure about it.
