Harvest Moon: Bound to My Four Stepbrothers
Lakota It has been four weeks since Lance and I marked and mated, taking every chance we get to sneak off together or locking the door of my office to spend a few moments together. I am surprised I am not pregnant yet, but it will happen when it is the right time for us, and that apparently isn't right now. Lance is starting to get used to calling my Father Dad, but it is still difficult for him at times. He always called him Gamma, and for a while he called him Alpha; it took some time for Lance to be comfortable with calling him by his first name after I took over. Now he has to get comfortable with calling him Dad, and sometimes he nearly chokes on his words. I am walking towards my office for our morning meeting when my phone starts to ring, and I am surprised to see the caller-ID showing Armas' name; he usually sends an email when he wants to get in contact with me. "I assume hell broke loose somewhere, Council-member," I answer his call as I walk into my office. Everyone is quiet as soon as they hear me say Council-member, and I even see a confused look in Lance's eyes. "Yes, it did," he answers me, and the tone of his voice has the hairs on my neck standing up; this doesn't predict much good. Lance is behind me with his arms around my waist to calm down my nerves. I ask him what had happened. "Yesterday a young male showed up at the Palace; he had been walking for days to reach us, and it looks like your former Pack still keeps their fated Mates as breeding machines," he replies, and an ear-deafening roar sounds behind me, making me turn around to place a hand on his cheek. "Calm down, Babe. We will make them pay; we will help the Council in any way we can," I say as I look into his eyes, seeing Lance and Bolt battling for control, and I feel them settling down the moment I place my lips on theirs. I wait until they have calmed down completely before returning my attention back to Council-member Armas. By the time Armas is done with his story, Lotus is raging with anger, and if I would allow her to take control she would run there without stopping to tear them all apart. "Can we meet at the diner? I will be bringing two Squads with me, and I would appreciate it if you could bring some of your Warriors along as well," he states. We agree on meeting at the diner in two hours; it will give us time to make preparations on our end, and they don't have to rush to come out here."Dad, can you come to my office and bring Argos and Kobal with you," I say through the mind-link, before I ask Colton to gather six of our best Warriors. It doesn't take a genius to see that my entire leadership wants to come with me, and if Dad is willing to look after the Pack I will be bringing all of them with me. Jace and his Father are going to regret the decisions they made in regard to their fated Mates; Lotus chuckles in my head as she tries to imagine the look on their faces when they see us again. Argos closes the door behind them, and all three of them look at me for answers. "Dad, would the three of you mind looking after the Pack while we are gone?" I ask him, and Kobal asks where we are planning on going. "Silver Shadow Pack," I answer, and all three of them growl at the mention of the Pack name. I tell them about the call I received from Council-member Armas, and Dad says that they will look after the Pack while we help out the Council. I knew he wouldn't mind staying behind; he knows I need to close the book on Silver Shadow Pack permanently, and that my leadership wants to be there to help me accomplish that. After going over everything with Dad on what needs to be done in my absence, I link Colton to bring in the Warriors that will come with us, and it doesn't surprise me that he chose Jazzy for this mission. She escaped the life of a breeding machine, and she is hell-bent on making sure no one else has to suffer that fate. Jazzy growls when I tell them where we are going; I told her my story not long after we settled down here, and she told me if I ever had to take action against my former Pack she would be right beside me. Everyone eventually hears my story after they become a part of our Pack, and every Warrior that is here has a bone to pick with Silver Shadow Pack. We make our way over to the diner, and Josy looks surprised to see all of us walking in. I hear Tir Na Nóg play in the background as I sit down at a table by the window, and I softly hum along with the melody of the song. Josy nearly drops my latte macchiato when she sees the mark on my shoulder, and Lance tells her that we are fated Mates. "Congratulations to both of you. Is someone going to tell me what you are all doing here?" She asks, and through the mind-link I tell her why we are at the diner. She nods her head and heads towards the kitchen to get everyone something to eat, something I know some of our members do to keep an eye on things. I look around the diner to see that two members have visitors; Josy places a plate in front of me as she says, "Tha na h-aoighean againn gan giúlan fhéin," and I smile at her before I turn my attention to my food. I don't doubt they are behaving themselves; they were warned that if they misbehaved they would never be allowed to visit again. Every member that wants to meet with a family member has to put in a request with me, and I always make sure I meet with them first, Cian right behind me to show them that they will be dealing with two Lycans if they cross a line. The first question I ask is if they know why their family member was convicted, just because I want to know their thoughts on it. In most of the cases I find out that the charges were fabricated and that their family doesn't agree with what happened. So far I have only had to put my foot down once when I found out that the Father of one of our Warriors believed he should have accepted a female Mate, even though he knew his Son is into men. I hear the bell above the door chime, and I expect Armas to walk through the door and not to hear someone say, "Is esan a thug ionnsaigh orm." Colton and Lance have him on the floor in a matter of seconds, and I allow Lotus to take care of this piece of shit. "What the fuck are you doing here?" Lotus growls at him. He looks up at me and asks why he should answer a little girl. "Because she is our Alpha, Shithat," Lance growls close to his face, and I see the confusion in his eyes; after all, I have never heard of an Alpha handing his Pack over to his Daughter. Colton pulls him to his feet, and I step closer to let him see that Lotus is near the surface, letting him feel our Alpha aura. "Answer the fucking question, before I allow my Lycan to rip you to pieces," I say through gritted teeth, Lance stepping beside me to calm me down just a little. "I came to get my Mate," he says, and I see the female shake her head. Everyone knows he is not her fated Mate, because she met him during the first Days of the Full Moon after joining my Pack, and he roars with rage as he looks at Shithat. "She is mine," he growls loudly as he pulls his Mate behind him. "Who told you where to find her?" I ask, because I don't believe he followed her family here, and from the corner of my eye I see her Mother pale. I doubt she told him, but this is the first time her Sister joined their Mother for a visit, and I get this feeling she is the one that told him where they were going. Tanya steps from behind her Mate and looks at her Sister with a murderous look. "Haven't you done enough to ruin my life? You sided with Father when he wanted to force a Mate on me; you even helped them so he could catch me alone, and now you told him where to find me. Get out of here and don't ever come back, or I will allow my Mate to attack you," she yells. "Mom, I am sorry but I am going home," she says before she turns to her Mate. "Please take me home; I need some cuddles from our little pumpkin," she whispers as she walks into his arms. Cian, Quinn, and Jazzy have placed themselves between Tanya and Shithat to keep him away from her, and she quickly leaves the diner with her Mate. We built a few cells in the mountain behind the diner, and I tell Colton to put Shithat in there until Council-member Armas shows up. Her Mother asked her Sister to wait in the car. "Alpha Lakota, I would like to join your Pack. My Mate died six weeks ago, and it finally gave me the freedom to start living my own life. I never agreed with how he treated our Daughters, but there was nothing I could do, and I will always regret what it did to Tanya's Sister. I am glad that Tanya got away from her Father and that she is happy with her fated Mate. I would like the chance to be there for her the way I should have," her Mother says. "Go home with your Daughter and keep to the schedule we agreed upon; take only what you really need to take with you to avoid suspicions. Leave those items with Tanya until you have taken everything over here, and then you can join my Pack," I tell her, and I can see relief wash over her face. Living with her cruel Mate has taught her a few tricks, because by the time she walks out of the diner I couldn't tell she had been given good news. She even starts arguing with her other Daughter the moment she opens the door of the car, and I realize that no one will ever expect her to leave her Pack to follow her Daughter.
