Lakota According to Dad, we will be at Uncle Chris' Pack just before lunch, and I can't wait to see him again, even though I can't remember him or his Mate. Darrius has taken the lead with Quinn, and both of them seem to be enjoying the other's company. They are talking about scouting the area the moment we reach our destination. Last night, Dad and I took a walk around Silver Moon Pack, and he had asked me to think about taking over the Alpha position once we settled down. It had nothing to do with not wanting the responsibility and everything to do with him wanting me to keep busy. It would take my mind off everything that happened with Jace and Jane, and maybe one day I would be able to show him and his Father what he had tossed aside for Jane. I have been thinking about it non-stop, and my greatest concern will be our Pack-members; are they willing to answer to a female? "What is running through that mind of yours, Lakota?" Lance asks, and I am glad he is right next to me, or I would have been face down on the ground. He steadies me as he looks at me with a smirk on his face, and I thank him for catching me."Dad asked me to think about taking over from him as Alpha once we have settled down. I know he wants to take my mind off Jace and Jane, and he has been successful, I might add. My only concern is the rest of our Pack; I know I can handle everything else," I reply. He asks me what my concern is, and when I explain it to him, he has the audacity to laugh. I smack him on his head, and this time I have to steady him. "Lakota, we will all follow you as Alpha. You are a better Alpha than Jace will ever be, and you have already shown to all of us that you think of us before yourself. Alpha Geofry never wanted to see how strong you are; he never saw the smart young female we have seen, and he never wanted to see that you care about others. Alpha Geofry and Jace only think of one person, and that is themselves; their Pack will never be as strong as Crystal Blood Pack," he answers me, and for a moment I don't know how to respond. Before we can continue our conversation, a young male runs out of the forest, and Lotus recognizes him as family. She places herself between the Pup and the forest. She growls at the male that jumps out of the forest, and he skids to a halt right in front of her. Tears form in his eyes as he looks at me."Are you real?" he asks, and Lotus tells me he is family too. I nod my head at a loss for words and allow him to wrap his arms around me. "I never thought I would ever see you again; I thought you and your Dad would stay in hiding forever. We missed you so much, Little Lycan," he whispers. "Can you release my Daughter, baby Brother?" Dad asks, and he lets go of me so fast that I nearly lose my footing, but again Lance is there to steady me. "Keir, I missed you so. Chris was devastated when they told him that Myra was gone; I think knowing that you and Lakota survived helped him from not going after your Brother," the male says. I turn to the young Pup and ask him his name. "My name is Keir; I am named after my Uncle, and yesterday I got a baby Sister," he says with a huge smile on his face. Everyone has gone completely silent as he spoke, and I ask him what the name of his baby Sister is. "Mommy made Daddy cry when she said her name is Lakota," he giggles as he looks at me. I have a Nephew and a Niece, and the male that just hugged me is my Uncle. My family seems to grow with each passing day, and we haven't even made it to our destination yet.I lift Keir up and turn to my Dad. "Keir, this is my Dad, and he is your Uncle Keir," I say, and he starts cheering as he looks at Dad. "Daddy is going to be so happy to see you. When will I be able to meet your Daughter? I want to tell her about my baby Sister," he says, and Dad points at me, making Keir squeeze me tight. "Marcos, can we go home now? I want to surprise Mommy and Daddy," he says, and Marcos tells us to follow him. At the border, Marcos explains to the Warriors who we are, but that they are not allowed to say anything because Keir wants to surprise his parents. Two of the Warriors decide to escort us to the Pack-house, taking the backpacks from Sela, Alice, and Mylana. The first one we run into is my Aunt, and I am glad she is sitting down while someone else is holding my Niece. "Can I hold my namesake?" I ask, causing her to scream on the top of her lungs. It only takes seconds for all hell to break loose as males rush out of the Pack-house, some of them in Wolf form while others are still in their Human form. "Daddy, Daddy," Keir yells as he steps in front of a black Wolf. "Uncle Keir came home," he yells as he is pointing at Dad, and the Wolf jumps at Dad, both of them rolling in the grass. "Chris, be careful with your Brother," Aunt Lucy yells as I am cuddling with my little Niece. "She is so cute," Lotus says as she is staring at the tiny Pup. Dad and Uncle Chris are still rolling around the grass, mock fighting one another as Keir is cheering them on. I hand Lakota to Sela as I step next to Aunt Lucy. "How long will it take before Uncle Chris realizes I am here too?" I ask with a fake whine, sending our Pack into laughter, and Dad gets the upper hand as Uncle Chris is distracted. "Say Uncle if you want to hug your Niece, Baby Brother," Dad says. He shifts back to his Human form as someone tosses a pair of shorts in front of him, and Dad allows him to put them on before he runs over to me. He lifts me in the air to spin me around. "Little Lycan, I missed you so much. I wish the two of you had run here; we would have protected you," he says as he buries his nose in my neck. "Uncle Chris, they would have annihilated your Pack too, and then we wouldn't have a little Keir and a little Lakota," I say as I wrap my arms around his neck. He knows I am right, but knowing he would have helped us is comforting. "Okay, now it is my turn to hug our Niece. I was in total shock and didn't have the chance yet," Aunt Lucy says. Once everyone has settled down and Dad and I had gotten all the hugs we missed in the past fifteen years, Uncle Chris asks us why we are at Silver Lotus Pack. Dad tells him it is best to do it in private, and we all get invited up to the Alpha floor. Keir runs up the stairs followed by Lynn and Josh. Marcos asks one of the Omegas to have a Warrior bring a crib up to the Alpha floor and to put it in Lakota's nursery. Lakota and Rory are both asleep by the time we make it to the Alpha floor, and both get placed into their cribs so we can all have a good conversation with Uncle Chris. Dad starts by telling them what happened fifteen years ago, and I tell them my story after that. Some of the others explain how they became a part of our Pack, and it takes them a while after every story to settle down, but it is hearing Mylana's story that is the hardest for them to deal with. Dad has just finished explaining to Uncle Chris where we want to go when a female walks into the room. She growls as she locks eyes with me, and I wonder what the hell I did to her. "He is mine," she growls, and I look at Aunt Lucy when I hear her sigh.I see Uncle Chris looking past me, and I realize she meant Marcos when she growled at me. I turn towards Marcos to take a good look at him. Marcos is about 6'3", I guess, with dark brown hair in a braid down his back, his eyes are a light brown color, and muscles in all the right places. He is my Uncle through the Mate-bond between Uncle Chris and Aunt Lucy, but Lotus has already decided to put the female back in her place. "I can understand why you would like to get your hands on him; I mean, you could do worse," I say as I keep looking into Marcos' eyes. He seems to understand what I am doing as he smiles lazily at me, and he places a strand of my hair behind my ear. "Thank you, Little Lycan," he says, ignoring the female in the doorway, and I wonder how long it will take before she is going to react. She walks towards me as she growls, but she gets stopped by Lance and Colton. "He is mine," she growls again, and Lotus is rolling her eyes at the female; looks like this one can't take a hint. "Look, I don't know who you are or what claim you think you have on Marcos, but I suggest you get the fuck back to where you came from. None of us wants you here, and I doubt anyone invited you up here, so this is the only warning you are getting. Leave, before I make you leave," Lotus growls as we get up, and the female pales as she sees Lotus pushing forward. She turns on her heel to high tail it out of there, and we all start laughing the moment we hear the door slam shut.
