Harvest Moon: Bound to My Four Stepbrothers
Aspen’s P.O.V. I am glad my Sons finally admitted that Hunter is their Mate, but I had not expected that they had kept it hidden from one another. Even though I can understand why, those boys like teasing each other and mentioning they found their underaged Mate…. Yeah, that would have been a recipe for disaster. I wonder how many people will find their Mate tomorrow, I wish for all of them to find their Mate or in some cases their second chance Mate. I smile as I smell Jayce walking up to me and I pat the seat next to me as I keep my eyes on the Pups that run around the gardens. He sits down next to me and puts his arm around my shoulder as he whispers “Sorry” into my ear. “Sweetheart, what are you sorry for?” I ask him and I turn to look at him. “For not calling you Mom sooner. It only took Colt two weeks to refer to you as Mom, but I don’t know why I never said it out loud.” He answers. “Jayce, I told you that it was up to you. Apparently you needed the time and you don’t have to be sorry for that. I love you, even though you are an idiot.” I say and he smiles at me before he places a kiss on my cheek. “I love you too, Mom. I know I am an idiot and I hope that Hunter can forgive us for what we did and for what we didn’t tell her.” He whispers with his head on top of mine and we just sit there for a long time, just watching the Pups. Martha tells me it is time to get ready and I thank her for warning me. I get up and kiss Jayce’s forehead before I say, “Just give it time.” Daniel is waiting for me in the doorway and he walks with me to our Quarters. Linda and Astrid just arrived from the Pack-house and they show me a picture of Hunter’s hair and make-up, but they don’t have a picture of the dress. “She send us out before the dress was brought in to the room, not that we could have seen anything as it was completely covered.” Linda says. I smile as I remember Daniel asking her about her dress and her reaction that it was a secret. He had told her that he needed to know to make sure he wouldn’t clash with the color of her dress and she had laughed her ass off, before she said that with his penguin suit he couldn’t go wrong. We chat as they get me ready for tonight, a night that will change our lives for good. The one thing I fear is my Mother, she will try to find a way into my life and I know it won’t be out of love. Seeing the fact she doesn’t have any love for me. My Mother only thought of herself after my Father died and she never told me any thing about the things I needed to know, luckily the Omegas took care of that. They raised me the way my Mother should have, but never did. My Mother is a sore spot for me and I wish I could forget about her, but knowing the kind of woman she is she will try to take advantage of who my Mate is. Dad already told me not to worry about it, he and Daniel will not allow her to hurt me or Hunter ever again. Jason came to me a few days after Hunter had told them about my Mother and he promised me that he would not leave my side if she decided to show her face around here. With Daniel I have found the family I always longed for, the family I wanted to give to Hunter and even though I wouldn’t want to chance my past I am happy with the past two years. They are the happiest years of my life, though I hate that Hunter moved out to the Pack-house. It was the best thing for her, she would have been miserable staying here and it would have ended up in a big fight. One I doubt any of them would have been able to recover from, one that would have ended with Hunter either leaving or rejecting her Mates. Neither endings would have worked for me or for Daniel and I know that in the end they all would have been miserable. I pray to the Goddess to give Hunter the wisdom to deal with her Mates and to give me strength to deal with my Mother. “We will be fine. Our Mate and Dad won’t let anything happen to us and neither will our Pups.” Bella says with a knowing look in her eyes. Martha walks in to let me know that dinner will be served in thirty minutes and Linda helps me in my dress as I tell Martha I will be there shortly. Unlike every other Harvest Moon we decided to spend dinner with family and in our private wing.Daniel and I want to give the boys some time with Hunter without any one else around, to let their Lycans get used to having their Mate around and to realize that Hunter has grown a lot in the past year. She is no longer the same girl she was a year ago, Elder Marcus informed us that she already did her exams and that she passed with flying colors. She is now studying Lycan and Werewolf Law, a topic that has always held her interest. Elder Marcus believes that by the time she is eighteen she will have done her exams for Law and I know that he is right, she is a smart young lady. In a few weeks she will turn seventeen and she already managed to convince the Council to let her travel. She wants to see how Packs interpret the Laws and how they implement them into every day life. To see if there are things that need to be changed in the current Laws or that they should be taken out or if new ones need to be made. The Council talked to us about her request and we decided that it would be good for her, maybe we could convince her to take one of her Mates with her. That however all depends on how she will react to find out that she had four Mates and that they have known for two years. She already gathered a team that will be traveling with her, a condition the Council made as she will start her travels after we reveal who the King is and that will make her a target. She asked Daniel if she could take Matt and Victor with her and he was more then willing to grant her that. Emma and Ella will be joining her as well and Daniel suggested a team of six Guards, which she accepted without arguing. When Daniel asked her why she didn’t argue with him about it I had started laughing. She had said, “Dad, I know I will be at a risk after the Harvest Moon. I don’t want you or Mom to worry about my safety and if this team accomplishes that, I will except it.” I smile as I smell the scent of my Daughter and I wonder why no one told me that she had arrived. My jaw drops when I open the door and look at my gorgeous Daughter, she looks so grown up with her make-up and dress. “Why didn’t…” but I don’t get the chance to finish as she pushes me back into my room. “No one knows I am here, Mom. During my first year here I explored a lot with Ella and Emma and we found a few hidden corridors.” She whispers.I smile at her as I stare at the woman in front of me and I almost feel sorry for the boys and their Lycans. Almost, because a small part of me believes they deserve a little payback for chasing my Daughter out of the Palace. I know they couldn’t help themselves in being over-protective, but I am going to enjoy the struggle they face tonight. I just hope that they remember what I told them and that they will wait until tomorrow before telling Hunter. Elder Marcus had consulted with the rest of the Council Elders and they agreed with us that the boys need to tell Hunter who she is to them. There have been quiet a lot of Lycans that made it clear that they changed for the worst over the past year. A few Pack-members that came to the Palace for a meeting had been talking about Hunter and Jax, who had already been in a foul mood, had slammed one of them in to a wall. Growling at the male to never mention Hunter again, the Council had been unaware of the situation and had just told the male Jax was an over-protective Brother. When Daniel and I had informed Elder Marcus he had contacted the other Elders immediately and they gave their permission to the boys to inform Hunter, but Elder Marcus had warned us all that Hunter would not like it. The Council had ordered them to accept what ever Hunter wanted, short of rejection. That was something they do not have to accept and I hope she will not speak those words.
