Jax’s P.O.V. My jaw drops as I see Hunter sit down in Dad’s seat and he sits down in Jayce’s seat without saying a word, “What the hell…” I hear Jayce say through the mind-link and I guess he doesn’t like it either. Justin doesn’t blink an eye at the scene in front of us and he grabs her a plate of food, kissing the top of her head as he places it in front of her. I listen to their conversation as I eat my lunch and I finally understand why she chose to sit in between our parents. She missed them both and just wanted to be able to talk to them as she will be busy this afternoon with the Elders. I know Mom and Dad will be there as well, but it is not the same as being able to talk to one another and I tell Jayce through the mind-link what I figured out. “I don’t care, she still gets punished. Colt is driving me nuts.” He mutters through the mind-link and my cock hardens as I think of punishing our little Mate, Jason and Justin groan through our mind-link at his words. Brick doesn’t like her sitting between Mom and Dad, but I know he isn’t giving me as much attitude as Colt is giving Jayce. Being the oldest his Lycan is more possessive and protective than any of us and I know Colt needs her near him more than I do. Justice didn’t and she didn’t figure it out either.” Brick answers me and I ask him why they never told us. “Would you have believed me?” He asks, but he already knows the answer. I link my Brothers to tell them what Brick just shared with me and all three of them nearly choke on their food, “Sorry, guys. Didn’t consider what this piece of the puzzle could cause.” Hunter is laughing and I wonder if she is aware of what I just told my Brothers.Hunter keeps looking at us as if she is aware of what we were talking about and I decide to test a theory, “What way are you planning on punishing her, Jayce?” I ask him and I really hope I am mistaken with my theory, but if I am not that girl is going to turn into a tomato. Hunter’s P.O.V. Something in Jax’s eyes tells me he has figured out something he was unaware of for a long time and remembering Uncle Drake told me I could link anyone Justice and I decide to test a theory. I keep my eyes on my plate as I concentrate on my Mates and I hear Jax tell them what he just realized, making the others choke on their food. I can’t help but laugh and as I look at Jax I see he is deep in thought, “Do you think he can figure this one out?” I ask Justice. “There is only one way for him to test it and that is talking about something that will turn your cheeks red.” She answers. “Don’t worry though, I got you covered on that one. He will not find out that you were eavesdropping.” Mom has just put another plate of food in front of me and it gives me the perfect excuse to lower my head. Again, I use Justin as my source and when I hear Jax’s question I know he suspects something. “I plan on stripping her naked, bend her over my knees and spank that little ass of hers. We will get her on the brink of an orgasm, only to stop what we are doing and we will not let her come until she begs for it.” I hear Jayce answer and I am glad Justice is helping me out. “Justice, what are we going to do?” I ask her in a panic, but all she does is chuckle and I get this feeling my Mates will be in trouble themselves. I am almost done with my food when she finally tells me what we are going to do and I nearly burst out in laughter. Jayce helps me out of Dad’s seat and pulls me into his arms with his face nuzzled in my neck. I slide my arms around his neck as I move my body a little closer to him and I feel one of his hands gliding down to my ass, “PJ, we are not alone.” I whisper in his ear and I hear him groan softly. “I am sorry, Babe, but we have to get back to the Throne room. I am not done with the Elders yet and I would like to wrap this up as soon as I can.” I tell him and this time he growls in my ear, I giggle as I kiss his neck. Reluctantly he pulls back and I quickly kiss him on the lips before I walk towards the Throne room to deal with this next part of the meeting. Elder Matthew is waiting for me outside the Throne room and the look on his face doesn’t promise anything good. “Your Highness, the Elders are going to oppose the Law on age of consent. They think you are biased on the subject and they want the entire Law to disappear.” He says as soon as I am in front of him, I don’t get a chance to respond as one of my guests steps forward. “Your Highness, I am more than willing to tell the Elders my side of the story and I will ask my Mate if she is willing to tell them her side.” A female steps to his side and tells me she will tell her side. Withing a few minutes all my guests have volunteered to tell their story. Elder Matthew smiles as one after the other steps forward and I know this is going to be a long day, not that I mind as it will benefit the majority of all Lycans and Werewolves. The Elders look a little confused as all my guest walk into the Throne room and take their seats again, Mom looks at me but realizes fast something is up and she looks at the Elders with a look on her face that scares the shit out of me every time she uses it on me. Some of the Elders lower their head, while others start to squirm in their seats. Dad apparently got informed by Mom and I see his face turn cold as he also starts looking at every Elder present. My Mates give them angry glares and I can’t blame them. “Elders, it is brought to my attention that you want to oppose the Law on age of consent. I want you to hear what can happen if this Law gets removed, I want you to understand that this Law is needed for many reasons.” I say and I gesture to my guests to take the floor. One after the other tell their story and all of them break my heart as I know some of them have lost years, years without the Mate-bond in place. I am about to address the Elders again when Jayce steps down and tells the Elders his side of the story. My other Mates follow his example as they tell their story as well and even Mom and Pops tell the Elders what it has done to them, not just the five of us. “I nearly lost my Daughter because we forgot about this Law, my Daughter walked away from her Mates when she found out all of us kept it a secret. Elder Ward, Hunter told me what happened to your Niece and I am sorry she had to go through that, but I doubt she would appreciate it if she was told that others suffer because of what happened to her. Would it be fair if the King dismissed all of you because of what Elder Cedrick did?” Mom asks. The Elders start whispering amongst each other and I allow it for a few minutes, before I get up to draw their attention back to me. “Elders, you have heard from everyone that got hurt in one way or another and I think it is safe to say that we all agree on one thing, you can’t make everyone suffer because of one Lycan or Werewolf.” Elder Ward gets up and looks at me as he says, “I will never give my approval to this Law. I will do everything I can to get rid of it.” I start giggling and everyone looks at me with confusion in their eyes. “Elders, you are here to give your advice on Laws and their content. You are here to provide the King with your experiences, to hand him as much information as you can for the King to make the right decisions. You are not here to approve Laws or to change them, you are not here to determine what is good for our people.” I look from one Elder to the next and I realize that they are unaware of the fact that they only have an advisory role to the King. They are unaware of the fact that they don’t have any power at all, that in the end the King makes all the decisions. I have already linked Emma to get me the book on the Council of Elders from our Royal Library and without knocking she walks into the room. She has already opened the book to the chapter I need and as I start reading I see every Elder pale. They finally start to realize that only the King can approve or disapprove a Law and all they can do is guide him in making the choice that will benefit the majority of his people. Once I have read through the chapter Dad rises from his seat and every head in the room turns towards him. “Elders, my Daughter just pointed out that even I have still a few things to learn about our Laws. I don’t know when this information got lost to the Royals, but I will get to the bottom of it and whoever is responsible for this better step forward on his own or all of you will be replaced.As to the Law on age of consent it gets my approval and I want it send out to every Pack before midnight. Make sure they understand that there will be an attachment to it in the future, once we have determined how to incorporate our Lycan or Werewolf side into this Law. The Law will be affective immediately and I want it known that anyone that ignores it will not only receive a punishment from their Pack, but will have to answer to me as well.” Dad’s voice booms through the Throne room and every Elder has lowered their head in submission to our King.
