Love Times Four: My Stepbrothers Are All My Mates?

Chapter 145 Going Home

Justin’s P.O.V. I get a notification on my phone as we are still trying to make sense of Jayce’s words. We all felt emotions going haywire, but we also knew they were not ours. Jayce had sent a message to Gabe to find out what it is we could have felt, but so far there has been no response and it might take a while if they are in the middle of a meeting. Your Father found his second chance the message from Brent reads and I start jumping up and down as my Lycan and I are cheering. “Justin, calm down.” Jax says. “He found her.” Is all I say and we all start laughing. Jax quickly calls him to verify the message from Brent and he gets a huge smile on his face as he talks to Dad. Dad will be bringing home his Mate and we talk about what she might look like. We wonder from which of the Packs she is if she is of a high-rank or if she is of the working class. “Do you know if she is a Werewolf or a Lycan?” Jason asks as he looks at Jax and he asks him “Didn’t you listen to the conversation I had with Dad? She is a Werewolf.” “Sorry, I was to shocked. Mom died decades ago and we all thought he would never be ready for a second chance. The first time he travels after telling us he wants a second chance, he finds her.” Jason mumbles. “Jason, you are right. I am sorry if I sounded blunt, it was not my intention.” Jax responds and we all know that he means it. Jax doesn’t apologize often, so when he does it is because he means it. Jayce is pacing up and down the room and I ask him what is on his mind. “It has always been normal to feel Dad’s emotions from time to time, but now we have to get used to feeling his Mate’s emotions and I think that will take some time to get into my system.” He says. We all start laughing as we know that he will have the most trouble adjusting to that, being the oldest he feels as if he needs to put a lid on his emotions at all times and sometimes I feel sorry for my Brother. “Guys, maybe we should show her and Dad that we are happy for them.” Jax says and we know that he has already thought of a way to do that, so we just sit back to listen to his idea. Two hours later we are done and Martha, our Head of the Household, tells us that our Father will be proud of us. “His Mate will really appreciate this. She will know that you accept her and that you are happy for them. It was time for your Father to find happiness again and I am glad that I get to see him smiling again.” She says and we know that she has seen our Father during every stage of his life. She watched him grow up; she saw the disappointment when he didn’t find his Mate. She saw him after he found our Mother, how happy he was and how broken he was when she died. Now, we all get to see him happy again. Daniel’s P.O.V. Today is the Harvest Moon and when the Moon reaches its highest peak tonight every unmated male and female can find their Mate. I really hope that within the next few years Brent and Gabe will find their Mate and I hope the same for my Sons. Hunter is still a few years away from being able to find her Mate, she will turn fifteen in eight days and that means that she will have to wait until she is almost nineteen before she can find him. It will take more than four years and I am glad that I get to know her before her Mate takes her away from us. Jayce will be the one that will never leave home as he is next in line for the throne, but I will hate saying goodbye to my other Sons if they decide to leave with their Mate. “Daniel, I have no idea what is expected of me as your Mate. I am a Doctor; I have always been on my own and I don’t know if I will be any good at this.” Aspen says and I hear Gabe gasp. “Aspen, you are a Doctor. You treat everyone the same, you will do what ever you can to help a patient. No matter why they are in front of you, you treat them all the same. Being his Mate is no different, you will treat everyone the same and will always try to do what is best for them. I believe that your job prepared you better for this job than anything else could have.” Brent says and I smile because he has a point there. Aspen is quiet for a few minutes as she processes what Brent just told her and I see a smile appear on her face as she nods her head. “Thank you, Brent. I didn’t think of it that way, but I guess you are right.” She replies.
