Alpha Amarath

Chapter 757 Strong Bond

Joseph’s p.o.v. After I had woken up, I went looking for a place to freshen up and I felt a lot better after a hot shower and some clean clothes. Mom asked me to get Inti and Herold, she wanted to hear about our journey and I asked Joey to inform Jocelyn the moment she woke up. We walked into the Alpha office and I greeted everyone present, some of them I hadn’t seen in almost a decade. Mom quickly explains how they deal with all the Alphas in their territory and I actually like the way the resolved this issue. Inti starts to tell them about our journey, about the problems we encountered and the Pack-members we gained along the way. No one likes most of the things we tell them, but each of them is grateful for the Wolves we rescued along the way. “You met Jenna and Faye last night, they lost their parents and there is a bond between Jenna, Faye and Jocelyn. That same bond is there between Jocelyn, Joey and Christian, she considers them her Pups and Griffin and I feel the same about all of them. Don’t ask me why, but Griffin feels a strong connection to Jocelyn and we both hate being away from her. We know that this can’t be the bond of a fated Mate, but we want to see where this is leading us.” I say as I look at Mom and I see her smile. She doesn’t get the chance to respond, because we hear someone roaring from down the hallway. “WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?” I hear Jocelyn’s voice combined with Erylis’ voice and I am out of the door before anyone can stop me, but Mom pulls me to a stop outside the dining room. “April wants us to give Jocelyn some time.” Mom whispers and we listen to the conversation in the dining room. Everyone chuckles at her implication that whoever she is holding is gay, not that we care about i if she is. It is just the fact that everyone knows that April will take over one day, but it seems that some have forgotten that or thought that our parents were kidding. “Mom, why is Doc walking into the dining room?” I whisper my question, forgetting for a moment I can just link my Mom. “Apparently the Bitch knocked a Youngster to the ground, a boy named Joey.” I don’t hear the rest of what Mom wants to say, I have cut the link and rush into the dining room.Doc is checking his shoulder, but with Cristian still in his arms that proves to be difficult. Someone tries to take Christian away from him, but he just growls at them. I walk towards Joey and I see a small smile on his face when our eyes meet, “Dad, can you take Christian?” He asks and for a moment I am stunned, not just for him calling me Dad, but for trusting me with Christian. The bond between Joey and Christian is as strong as the bond I have with my siblings and I know that I wouldn’t trust anyone but my parents with their lives. I hold out my arms to take Christian from him and as I look at his shoulder, I can hear Jocelyn and April in the background. “No, Joseph didn’t miss inform you. However, there are Wolves and Lycans here that come from other Packs and they refuse to believe that a female will one day rule this Pack.” April answers. “Why are you looking at them in disbelieve?” I hear Jocelyn ask, but I have no idea who she is taking about. “Joseph doesn’t have a Mate and he has no Pups. Why is that trash calling him Dad?” I hear a female voice ask and the roar that Erylis releases shakes the windows in their sills. I lift my head to see Jocelyn lift a female in the air and I know that Erylis is close to the surface, both of them ready to kill whoever that is. Doc has finally finished checking Joey’s shoulder and it looks like the damage is minimum, just the pain of hitting that sore shoulder. Dad helps him to his feet, while Mom helps me to my feet and she takes Christian from my arms. “I think it is best if you try to calm Jocelyn down, we will look after these two.” Mom says to me through the mind-link, while she settles on a chair not far from me and Joey sits down next to her with Dad. “You have no idea what we have been through to get here, you have no idea the kind of bond that has formed along the way and you sure as hell don’t have the right to call my Son trash. If you value your life, then I suggest that you and your Daughter walk in the opposite direction when you see us. Learn how this leadership works and accept it or I will start a petition to get you banned from any Pack-house and if that doesn’t work banishment from the Pack.” Jocelyn says in an ice cold tone. I place my hand on her lower back and tell her to release the female, which she does with out hesitating. Her Father didn’t see it coming and is too late to catch her, making her slam to the floor. Someone calls out for Doc, but he is nowhere around. He must have left for the infirmary to tend to other patients, but the look on Mom’s face tells me that he isn’t that far away.I wrap my arms around Jocelyn’s waist and pull her closer to my chest, giving her some time to calm herself down before we have breakfast. “Milo, help me up.” The Bitch says, but Milo just turns his back on her and I see that he is holding Faye. April has Jenna in her arms and she walks past us to the table Mom is sitting at, just a smile on her face, not saying a word. “Let’s get some breakfast, I believe that the kitchen staff out did themselves this morning.” Bennett says, just before he blows a raspberry on Jenna’s cheek. “Eww, Uncle Bennett.” Jenna says as she starts to wipe her cheek on Milo’s shirt, earning her a disgusting look from the Bitch. Milo takes Jenna’s chin in his hand and moves her face from left to right, “It’s all gone, Baby.”
