Alpha Amarath
Jocelyn’s p.o.v. I actually feel comfortable leaning against Joseph and with Faye against my chest I can feel my eyes slowly closing, even though I try to fight it. Somehow I managed to lie down, but I have no idea how I managed to do that and someone even placed a pillow under my head. Hold on, this is a rather strange pillow and it also moves up and down. I hear Erylis laugh at my thoughts and when I try to get more feeling for my surroundings, I realize that I am lying against something hard. I slowly open my eyes to see Faye lying on a chest, the same chest my head is resting on and I think I already know who I am using as a pillow. “Did you have a good nap?” I hear Gamma Joseph ask and for a moment I need to think about his question. “I believe so, I can’t remember the last time I slept this good.” I answer him honestly, while I am stroking Faye’s hair. She looks very comfortable lying on his chest and I feel him pulling me a little closer. “Jenna is using my stomach as a pillow, I am not sure I want to see the position she is in.” He says teasingly and I slowly push myself up to see the most adorable sight ever. “She is lying between your legs, her head on your stomach and she is holding on to the waistband of your pants.” I say, before I get comfortable again and enjoy this happy, perfect moment a little longer. At first I only hear the paws of our patrol, it is a nice, soothing sound and I hope it doesn’t send me back to sleep. It takes a few minutes before I hear soft voices mingling with the sound of the paws, than footsteps walking from one end of the circle to the other and then the sound of someone asking what we are having for lunch. I slowly sit up straight to see that almost everyone has taken the time to nap and I turn my head towards Joseph who looks a bit uncomfortable. “Want me to take Jenna, Gamma Joseph?” I ask and a soft growl escapes him. “Just call me Joseph.” He growls. “Yeah, I would appreciate it if you can take Jenna. I think sitting up will be easier that way, Jocelyn.” He says. I look at Jenna and realize that there is only one way for me to remove her from her sleeping position without waking her. My face must be a few different shades of red, as I try to look for the proper way to grab hold of her. That damn smirk on Joseph’s face is not helping and I see that my hands are trembling when I reach for Jenna. At that moment she decides to wake up and she seems unaware of where she has been sleeping, because she pushes herself up and slams her knee in a sensitive area. “Jenna!” Joseph exclaims and I can’t help but laugh at the pained look on his face. “Sorry, Amma.” She says, only to make matters worse by placing her other knee next to her first knee and I join Erylis in laughing my ass off. “Come on , Jenna. Let’s get cleaned up for lunch.” I hear Joey say, but I am in no state to say anything to him and I just lie there flat on my back. Erylis stops laughing, something is happening and I am not going to open my eyes. Looking back I am glad I kept my eyes closed, because I know what Joseph would have seen if they had been open. “Think that is funny.” He whispers close to my ear, his body hovering over mine and my heart stops beating for a second. Then I can feel him lean closer to my body and goosebumps run over my body when his lips touch my neck. “You better hurry, before there isn’t any lunch left.” Joseph says and I can hear his voice fading, as he walks away from me. “That was hot.” I hear Indigo say in my head and from her giggling I know that I have a nice red color on my face. “Amma, I want sausase.” Jenna says, her hands on her hips as she looks up at him and he places a sausage on her plate. He cuts the sausage, before he hands her the plate and she carefully walks over to Joey. I move to the back of the line to wait my turn and to keep a lot of distance between me and Joseph, I need a little space to breathe. I am one of the last to get their lunch and I walk over to Indigo to see only one empty space left, right next to Joseph. I sit down without saying a word and turn my attention to Joey, who is feeding Faye at the moment. “Where did you earn to drive, Joey?” I ask him, before I stuff my face with food. Joey tells me how they realized there wasn’t enough room for everyone and why they chose to teach the youngsters to drive. He seems happy to be able to help his Pack in some way, even if it means driving an SUV filled with Pups. Joseph moves every now and then, brushing his knee or arm against me and I remember how it felt to feel his body so close to mine. A part of me wants to tell him to sit still, but the other part doesn’t want him to stop touching me. Even Erylis doesn’t seem to mind his touches and I have never known her to be okay with a male touching us. Indigo and I help the Omegas to clean everything from lunch and help them set up for dinner or should I say the preparations for dinner. I let Erylis shift again for Jenna and we both enjoy the time we spend running after her, we cuddle with Faye for a while. I just make sure that I avoid Joseph as much as I can, I am not sure how to feel about this situation between us. Indigo keeps popping in to my head from time to time, only to point out that Joseph is staring at me again. As if I hadn’t felt his eyes boring into me, his eyes following is wherever I go and I am surprised that Erylis hasn’t snapped yet. She always does it when she feels a male is paying us unwanted attention. Oh My Goddess, does this mean she wants Joseph’s attention?
