Alpha Amarath
Unknown I slow down my pursuit of the SUVs when I see them pull over, and I listen closely as I hear everyone offering their ideas on how to get into the territory, but it is my Mate that gives them the solution. But Makucha nearly loses his shit when he hears what her first Mate tried to do to her, and I am glad the female Alpha saved her from that life. My heart breaks knowing that Denali wasn't able to escape that fate, and I wonder why she hasn't tried to get out of there; I hope she will confide in me once she is freed from that Pack. I wish I had been there when she found her Mate; I would have demanded to accompany her. I am not sure if it would have kept her from getting rejected, but it would have kept her from becoming a breeding machine. Denali is my last living relative, and I will never forgive myself if something terrible happened to her; she has been the light of my life for so many years. If they try to get her pregnant, I know that Hazel will do everything she can to prevent it from happening; neither one of them will be willing to raise the baby of a rapist, and that will be the only way he could get them pregnant. I know my Sister; she will never stand for injustice, and I am right there with her. I watch as my Mate walks over to an SUV with the male I now know is Council-member Armas and two Warriors; they will go straight to the Pack-house, and I will be following her Alpha and the Squads Council-member Armas brought with him. I just hope that my Sister is healthy and unharmed, but I have a feeling her wounds won't be visible. My Mate is 5'9" with copper chestnut hair, and her brilliant blue eyes show a determination in them that rivals Denali's, and I think about my Sister with her height of 5'8", light auburn hair with hazel eyes. I think she would like my Mate, but I am not sure if I will be able to go through a rejection. Something that will happen once she realizes that I am not a Lycan; history has taught us that most reject their Mate for being weak or not of the same kind. I doubt my Mate would react the same, but I am not sure if I am willing to take that risk. Especially not if they are anything like the Pack that once lived in their territory. The others leave the SUVs behind and start to walk towards the eastern border; I follow them at a safe distance to avoid detection. It seems that my Mate's Alpha knows her way around this territory, and I wonder why she ever left. Maybe someday I will get that answer, but right now I am glad she knows where she is going. Makucha whimpers in my head when my eyes land on the female sitting on a balcony; she looks lifeless from down here, and I want to get up there to wrap her in my arms. "Help is on the way, Sis," I tell her through our mind-link, and if I hadn't been looking at her so intently I would have missed it. She barely moves, but I see her eyes drifting in my direction, and when a male steps behind her I understand she doesn't want him to notice a change in her; he must be the asshole that lured her here. The moment he walks back inside, I see the others spring into action, and they quietly make their way over to the Pack-house. "I am not alone; there is another female in this room named Carmen," she tells me through our mind-link, and I know I need to tell my Mate's Alpha that both females are in the same room. I slowly approach them as they are looking at the back entrance of the Pack-house, and it is the Alpha that turns towards me. Once I am close enough, I tell her softly where both females are, and when I explain to her that I linked my Sister, she smiles at me. "Follow me; I know how to get inside," she whispers before returning her attention to the Pack-house. She starts climbing a tree to the left of the backdoor of the Pack-house, and I watch as she walks over a sturdy looking branch towards a balcony. She jumps onto the balcony and opens the French doors without any trouble. We all follow her into the room, and once the doors are closed she gestures for us to follow her, leading us to a hidden staircase in the corner of the room. Lakota I feel someone approaching us, but I also know this is not a Pack-member, and I tell the others through the mind-link to keep their eyes on the Pack-house. I am stunned to find out that his Sister is in there, and I know without a doubt that this is Jazzy's Mate. I can also tell that he is not a Wolf or a Lycan, and I can't wait to find out what kind of shifter he is. I decide against linking Jazzy and tell him to follow us inside. I smile when I follow the stairs up to the Beta floor, and I really hope we will not scare the shit out of those females when we enter the room. I signal the male to come to me as we are close to the door leading to the room his Sister is held in. "I need you to link your Sister; I don't want them to start screaming, and I need to know if someone else is in there," I whisper, and he nods his head in understanding. He tells me it is just his Sister, Denali, and the other female, Carmen. I slowly open the door to see two females with a small smile on their faces, but one of them starts to smile wider as she is looking past me, and I step aside to let her see her Brother. "Jazzy, is everyone in Alpha Geofry's office?" I ask her through the mind-link, and she confirms that the last one just stepped inside. "Okay, does anyone want to get out of here and scare the shit out of everyone downstairs?" I ask, and Denali asks me how I plan on getting there as the door to their room is locked. "We head down to the Gamma floor, using those stairs," I say pointing to the door we just exited. "The room it leads to is a room that can't be locked, and from there it is a short trip to Alpha Geofry's office. Council-member Armas is there with the entire leadership of this Pack, and Carl and Joe will pay for what they did to the both of you," I answer. I lead them back the same way we came up here, and the moment I open the door that leads to the hallway I freeze, but luckily Lance is right behind me. "It is fine, just breathe. You are not staying here; you are free from that asshole, and soon you get to rub his face in it," he says as he pulls me into his chest. I see the confusion in most of them, and in highlights I tell them my story. I look at the male that joined us and I ask him his name. "It is easier than referring to you as Jazzy's Mate," I say, and I see his eyes widen as my words sink in; he introduces himself as Tychon. We walk to the top of the stairs when I see an Omega turn the corner at the top of the stairs, and for a moment I fear she will start screaming, but she surprises me as she holds up a hand to indicate we should stop moving. She acts as if she is looking for something, giving her the chance to look behind her. "Coast is clear," she mouths, and I smile as I pass her towards the stairs. We don't run into anyone on our way to the Alpha's office, and I sigh in relief when we reach it without being detected. I look over my shoulder at Tychon, and he nods his head; he is ready to confront the males in that office. I slam the door open and walk in, followed by Lance and Tychon right behind me, and I see shock on almost every face in there. "Hello, Alpha Geofry. Got yourself in quite a mess, I see," I say as I walk further into the office, and I see Jazzy looking past me at Tychon. Both Squads walk into the office and make sure that Carl and Joe aren't going anywhere. "Alpha, you just interrupted the fun part," Jazzy says as she looks at me with a pout, and I ask her to explain herself. "Alpha Geofry was about to explain to us why Jace is hiding his mark," she says, and I look towards Jace to see the outline under his shirt. "Did you finally mark Jane?" I ask him, and I see anger flashing through the eyes of the male sitting next to him. "Oh, fuck. You marked a male," I blurt out, and every head in the room snaps towards Jace. Lance is running circles on my lower back, and I know it is as much for me as it is for himself. "Baby, are you sure he marked a male?" Lance asks me as he leans closer towards me. "Yes, I am positive. Micheal became angry when I asked if he finally marked Jane; it also explains why they are hiding their marks. Can you imagine if other Packs discover that he chose a male as his Mate?" I ask as I slide my arm around his waist. Council-member Armas is looking at the two females behind me, and I introduce him to Denali and Carmen. "I just need a Yes or a No from the two of you. Were you held against your will?" He asks, and both of them answer with Yes. "I am sorry for asking this question in this fashion, but I don't know how else to ask. Did they try to use you as an incubator?" He asks. Again both of them answer with Yes, and when he asks them if they are willing to tell the Council what happened, both of them answer with Yes again.
