Alpha Amarath
Keir It has been six months since we moved into our territory. The Pack-house and three cottages were finished within two weeks of finding it, and it has been amazing to see the territory transform as we removed more and more of the overgrowth. We have found a total of twenty-two foundations, and most of them have been rebuilt. Every morning after breakfast, I have a meeting with Lakota, Lance, Quinn, Darrius, and Colton. We discuss patrols, progress on buildings, and everything else we need to discuss. Lakota starts acting more and more like an Alpha, and I know it won't be long before she can take over from me, leaving her and her leadership in charge. Mylana gave birth to a female Pup a week ago, and soon we will be welcoming another Pup into the Pack as Quinn is near her due date. Darrius has made a request to the Council to keep him and his Mate in mind if they ever find a Pup in need of a new home, and I know that they will make great parents. Just as we sit down, my phone starts ringing and I frown as I see the caller-ID. "Good morning, Armas," I answer the phone. "Keir, I need your help," he says before I can tell him that he is on speaker. I tell him who is listening in, and it doesn't bother him at all. "Good. Two young Wolves were brought in front of the Council yesterday after their Pack convicted them of theft, but we found out that the Alpha wanted to get rid of them as they were mated to the future Beta and Gamma. He wanted them to take his Daughters as their chosen Mates, so he forced them to reject one another. Both of them are eighteen, and when we gave them the choice they just wanted to find a place where they can live in peace. You popped to mind immediately," he states, and by the look on everyone's faces the young Wolves just found their new home. I ask him if he has a map of the area and I tell him to get to the fork in the road. "Send me a message when you get there; I will pick them up myself. Until we have everything secure and rebuilt, I don't want any more Wolves or Lycans to know where the territory is," I answer him, and he tells me he will be leaving shortly. Moments after I have disconnected the call, Alice walks in and Lakota tells her what to expect. Sela is with her. "I will get two rooms in order; I will place them next to one another. It might make the move a little bit easier," she replies before she walks out of the office, and I hear her walking up the stairs. Our Pack-house isn't large; that was impossible with the size of the foundation, and it took us a while to realize why it wasn't that big. We had been discussing it during one of our morning meetings, and Lakota had suddenly smiled as if she had found the biggest treasure in the world. "Dad, you don't need a real or big Pack-house if this functioned as a facade," she had stated, and she had to spell it out for any of us to understand her. "Rumor has it that this Pack had a hidden territory, and if that is true, then what do you need a huge Pack-house for? It is big enough to house visitors, and the leadership can all stay on the top floor or in a cottage at the back of the Pack-house, if there are visitors of course. Otherwise, this would probably only house some Warriors, and no one would be the wiser if you keep less important files here, some clothing in the rooms on the top floor perhaps," she had said, and I think we could have all face-palmed ourselves at that moment. No one has been able to find the hidden territory yet, and I can assure you that we searched as we cleared the overgrowth, but we haven't found it yet. We won't give up though, but we all know that it might take years before we find it, or we might never find it. We have also been discussing if the hidden territory might be bigger or smaller than this territory. Lakota and Quinn are convinced that it is bigger, and I am not so sure about the size. Lance thinks it will be the same size, but Colton and Darrius think it is smaller and that it probably only holds a Pack-house. Darrius also thinks it was only used as a hide-out to keep weaker Pack-members safe in case of an attack, and that it will hold the important papers and Archive of the Pack. If that is the case, we might be able to find out what the Pack was called and what the history of this Pack is. Our western and southern border are cleared of all the overgrowth, and we will be starting on our northern border today, making our way towards the cottage where Mylana is living. After that, we will take care of the eastern border, and the final thing to do is taking down every tree that has no purpose, just like bushes and shrubs. I arrive at the fork in the road and my mouth nearly drops when I see the young Wolves that will join our Pack; I guess next time I should ask a few more questions. Instead of two females, I am faced with two males, each of them about 6'2", and they are only eighteen. "Armas, it is good to see you again," I say as I shake his hand, and he introduces me to Conan and Kanoa, both of them Sons of Warriors. With their build, I am not surprised to hear that, and they will be a good addition to our Pack; they will fit right in. "Alpha Keir, thank you for accepting us into your Pack. Council-member Armas did neglect to mention that we are gay," Kanoa says, and I shake my head before I say, "That doesn't matter to us; our Pack's future Delta is gay and he is very happy with his Mate." I see Armas looking over his shoulder, and the backdoor of an SUV opens. The next person I see is Armand, and I smile at my old friend, but my smile gets bigger when I see him holding two little Pups. "Keir, I hope your Delta can handle twins. Their Mother died in childbirth and their Father couldn't live on without her," Armas says. "Lakota, get Darrius and Matt and get your ass to the fork in the road," I say through the mind-link, just before I turn towards Armas. "Why don't you ask them yourself when they get here," I say, and we wait for them to arrive while I talk to Conan and Kanoa. I hear the footsteps before the others, and I turn around to see the look on Darrius' face when he sees the two little Pups. He skids to a halt as his eyes land on the twins, and I see the question in his eyes as he looks at me; I only nod my head in answer. Armand hands the twins over to Darrius and Matt before he turns to Lakota. "Keir, is this her?" he asks, and I tell Lakota his name. She jumps into his arms without thinking about it, and she wraps her arms around his neck. "Thank you, Armand. Dad told me a few things about that day, and one of them was about you," she says. They talk amicably for a few minutes before she turns towards Conan and Kanoa with a smile on her face. "Hi, my name is Lakota and I am Alpha Keir's Daughter. Welcome to Crystal Blood Pack, even though I wish the circumstances had been a little different," she says as she shakes their hands. Conan and Kanoa introduce themselves to her, and we soon find out the three of them share a birthday. "Thank the Goddess," I say. "One birthday party for three, that is more manageable." Lakota punches my upper arm while Armand chuckles. "Still not a fan of parties, Keir?" he asks. After another ten minutes, we watch the SUVs leave, and on our way to our territory, Lakota tells the boys there is a lot we still need to do, but that it already feels like home to her. "Why don't Kanoa and I join you in clearing some of that overgrowth and let Delta Darrius and Delta Matt enjoy some time with their Pups," Conan says. Matt tries to object to the use of his title, but one look from Lakota silences him, and Darrius thanks Conan for the offer. "I need to see if Alice and Sela can help us with putting a few things together for the twins, and we have to give them names; we can't keep calling them twins or Pups," Darrius says. Lakota takes off with Conan and Kanoa as we reach the Pack-house, and I link Alice and Sela with the request to come to the Pack-house. I didn't have to, as Sela opens the front door of the Pack-house. "Alpha...." She lets the sentence trail off as she looks at the Pups in front of her. Alice is the first to wake from their daze and ushers the males inside with their Pups. I follow them into the living room, and Alice is in full Doc-mode as Josh calls it; she checks the Pups while asking Matt and Darrius some questions. "Thank the Goddess I asked Luna Lucy to send over some stuff, just in case the two of you would be able to adopt a Pup fast," Sela mumbles. "And you, Alpha, thought I had lost my mind when I asked Luna Lucy for it," she says as she smiles at me, and I laugh as I think back on that day. Sela is right; I had thought she had lost her mind, but I guess that is why she is a female and I am not.
