Daniel’s P.O.V. To say I am shocked is putting it mildly, a seventeen year old girl had to tell me that the Elders don’t have any power whatsoever and only I can approve or disapprove a Law. I wonder if it got lost when my Father took over or when my Grandfather took over, not that it matters I will find out and act accordingly. “Elder Matthew, before you send out the message to every Pack I want to see it and once Princess Hunter and I approve of the content you are allowed to send it out.” After that I order them to meet back here the next morning at eleven and I can tell most are not too happy about it. I walk out of the Throne room with Aspen beside me and I pull her closer to calm myself and Joshua down. I hear Hunter thanking her guests before she follows me out of the Throne room and I lead them into my official office. Brent and Gabe are already waiting for us and I quickly inform them of the information Hunter found. They look at one and other before looking at Hunter and I see Gabe walking over to a filing cabinet in the corner of my office, he opens the bottom drawer to pull out a stack of files. “Looks like you have your work cut out for you, Your Majesty.” He says as he hands the files to me and I look through them as a smile appears on my face. “Hunter, I want your opinion on these Laws. Let me know what you agree or disagree with and why.” I say as I hand her the stack of files. “Emma, can you put that book on my desk? I want to read it myself and find out what the Council of Elders is all about. I want to know what they can and can’t do, what they need my approval for and what they can do without it.” Emma places the book on my desk before she heads out of my office. As Emma walks out of my office Martha walks in and asks where we will be having dinner. “Martha, I would like to have dinner in our private wing. I don’t want to see another Elder until I have to deal with Elder Matthew.” Hunter mumbles and Martha doesn’t even wait for me to respond. “Hold on, Martha. I will help you.” Max shouts before he rushes after her and I see Aspen looking at me. I know exactly what she is thinking and I have to agree with her, something is going on between those two. About an hour after dinner Elder Matthew links me that he has finished the message for the Packs and I tell him to meet me and Hunter in my official office. Hunter and I quickly get down to my office and after we read the message it seems that Elder Matthew is on our side with this. He made sure the entire Law is written down correctly and the consequences of breaking or denying the Law. Hunter lets us know that she is happy with the content of the Law and I digitally sign the message before handing it back to Elder Matthew.The three of us walk out of the office and Jason is waiting outside for Hunter, he scoops her up as she yawns. She places her head against his shoulder and within a few seconds her breathing evens out. “Looks like this day exhausted her.” I say as I swipe a lock of hair behind her ear. Jason’s P.O.V. We all look forward to sleeping in our own bed tonight and the prospect of the punishment Jayce wants to give her has all of us excited. I offer to wait outside Dad’s office while the others take our luggage upstairs. It doesn’t take long before the door of Dad’s office opens and Elder Matthew walks out with Dad and Hunter right behind him. The moment I see her yawn I scoop her up in my arms and she places her head against my shoulder. I hear her breathing even out and I want to growl as I realize we won’t get to punish her. I see the disappointed looks on my Brothers faces as I walk into our bedroom with a sleeping Hunter in my arms. On the way up I had already come to terms with her being asleep and I softly growl at my Brothers, “She is exhausted and her wellbeing should come first, not our needs.” I tell them through the mind-link. Jayce helps me to get her out of her clothes and into her nightwear, I pull her into my arms once I have stripped down to my boxers and I slowly let myself drift off to sleep. Jax wakes me up the next morning and his face looks murderous. I slowly get up to look around the room and I realize our little Mate is not in the room with us, I get this feeling she is not even on our floor anymore. All my Brothers look as if they want to kill someone and I am hoping it is not me. “Okay, I am awake. What is going on?” I ask as I move to the edge of the bed. Justin hands me my phone and I get a feeling Logan and I will be in a murderous mood real soon, I unlock my phone to see a message from the Elders. “We all received a message from the Elders and it looks like we are all going to a different Pack. Please tell me you didn’t receive a message.” Jayce asks me, but I have to disappoint him and he releases a deafening roar. A few moments later Hunter rushes into our bedroom with Mom and Dad right behind her. “Sorry, Princess. I didn’t mean to scare you.” Jayce says as he pulls her in his arms. I quickly explain why he roared and Dad asks us to tell them what our messages are about. “I don’t know what Jason’s message is about, but ours is about the Law on age of consent and Alphas that don’t agree with it.” Jax replies. I open up my message and I read it out loud to the rest of them, my message contains the same subject as theirs. “Dad, ask Elder Matthew to meet us in your office. We need to know how many of these messages they received, we will work from there.” I say as I walk to the bathroom. Hunter’s P.O.V.I know exactly which of my Mates roared and I tell Mom and Dad to come with me. I am not sure what I will find and I would like to have some sort of protection with me, but I had not expected that all four of them would get called away because of the reinstatement of a Law. Jason makes a good point when he asks Dad to summon Elder Matthew to his office, I keep holding on to Jayce as Justice had told me last night that Colt has trouble being away from me and I don’t like that idea. Mom and Dad have left our bedroom and the others have taken the time to get dressed. Jason and Justin walk out of the bedroom as Jax tells Jayce to get dressed as well, he reluctantly lets go of me and Jax pulls me onto his lap as he sits down on the side of the bed. “Princess, Colt has more trouble being away from you, he is the oldest and more possessive and protective of you then the rest of us. If we can’t handle this the way Jason is hoping than we want you to go with Jayce.” Jax says trough the mind-link and I know they talked about this in the bathroom. As soon as Jayce is dressed he scoops me up into his arms and I wrap my arms around his neck, placing little kisses on his cheek as he walks down the stairs. “Thank you, Princess. I just need you close to calm down.” Colt says in my head and in response I place a few more kisses on their cheek. “Breakfast first, then we will deal with Elder Matthew.” Mom says and we all know that there is no point in arguing with her on this. Beside my stomach makes it known that it agrees with Mom, Jayce keeps a hold on me and Jason places two plates in front of us. “Mom, I need you to talk with Emma and Ella while we are dealing with Elder Matthew. I can’t tell you why, but I need you to help them with plan I have made.” I tell her through the mind-link. “Of course, Pumpkin. I will help them with whatever it is you came up with.” She replies and I continue eating. It is close to nine in the morning when we walk into Dad’s official office and Elder Matthew is already waiting for us with Elder Edward. “Goodmorning, Your Majesty. Goodmorning, Your Highnesses.” Elder Edward says as Elder Matthew is staring at the screen in front of him. “There are quite a few Packs that don’t like this new Law and I am afraid that visiting them one by one will take too much time. Even with the four Princes going I am afraid someone might take matters into their own hands.” Elder Matthew says as he keeps his eyes on his tablet. Our kingdom has about forty large Packs and about twenty small Packs, a small Pack has less than five hundred Pack-members and they are usually very friendly Packs. Larger Packs can sometimes be cruel and rude, but most of them are friendly and have alliances with smaller Packs.
