Jayce’s P.O.V. I watch Ella, Emma and Max as every Pack-member passes them and each of them hands them a paper. Some look thin and small, some look multiple papers and some are in between, as the stack of papers in their hands grow I get more and more concerned about the amount of time it will take to get through it all. Matt and Victor have already taken a part of the papers away from them and I believe we have only seen half of the Pack-members walk in, Max is staring at the stack in his as it gets bigger and bigger. Yeah, this is going to be hell to get through. I link Hunter’s protection detail and ask Daphne if she and the girls can help us out. Just as she is about to answer me we all hear a loud “Mine” and I see a smile on Hunter’s face as I follow her line of sight. One of Alpha Quinten’s Warriors is standing in front of a female I know is part of Hunter’s protection detail. She has already jumped into his arms before she looks at Hunter, “Amy, congratulations on finding your Mate.” Hunter shouts at her as she is pulling out her phone. “Chloe, send the next one from the list. Amy found her Mate at Three Mountain Pack.” She says and disconnects the call. I look at her as she sits down and for the first time since meeting her detail I take a good look at the females, none of them are marked. Looks like our Mate thought good about who she was taking with her, “What if the list is empty?” I ask her. “By that time other females will have come of age and will be put on that list, I don’t think it ever will be empty.” She says as she looks up at me with her gorgeous smile. Jax’s P.O.V. After dinner we walk into the Alpha office and my heart sinks as I see the stacks of paper waiting for us. I grab two hands full of papers, handing one to Hunter as I sit down on the floor in front of her and start reading through the first recommendation. Daphne keeps handing me paper after paper and I wonder when we will be nearing the end. Only two papers are on the stack for banishment, three on the stack for immediate death and the other stacks all end in death, the way getting there is different in most cases. I have had to stifle a chuckle from time to time as I have read very creative ways of ending their lives, but thus far one stands out as it is a rather long and humiliating process and it will definitely get my vote. I hear our Princess sigh behind me as she puts down another paper on one of the stacks and at that moment the door opens, Amy walks in with her Mate right behind her. Without saying a word she grabs some papers and sits down on his lap.I can see they haven’t marked one and other yet and I think it has to do with her sense of loyalty towards Hunter. By the time it is close to midnight we have divided all the papers, but we haven’t gotten a chance to discuss them yet. “Okay, lets sleep first and in the meantime think about the ones you have read. After some sleep you can each tells us about the one that appealed to you for what ever reason and from there we can narrow it down. I think it will be safe to say that their punishment will not transpire until the day after tomorrow, so that will be my announcement at breakfast.” Hunter says as she stretches herself behind me. Jason’s P.O.V. We had all been so exhausted that we did our bedtime routine in silence and before we could wish our little Mate a goodnight she was already fast asleep, "I am right behind you, Princess." Jax mumbled as he crashed on the bed next to her and we all followed quickly. Breakfast is amazing as it was the day before and after Hunter gave her speech everyone fell into a comfortable silence as we were thinking about what we had read. I have to admit that some of these Wolves have a very imaginative mind and came up with some good ideas. None of us has read the same paper and that makes me curious as to what other Pack-members wrote down. “Princess Hunter, there is a car at the gate. The driver says that his passenger is a new member to your protection detail.” Alpha Quinten says, breaking the silence. “Can you let them through? With Amy mated to one of your Warriors I will not be taking her with me any further and I asked for a replacement.” She asks before she stands up, “Can I have your attention please?” Every face in the room turns towards her and as she tells them about Amy I see Matt walking out of the room. “Amy, I didn’t just choose you or any other member of my protection detail because of your skills. I also choose you because this would be a better way of finding your fated Mate, I am not going to hold you to the Palace service. As of today you are relieved of duty and I wish you and your Mate all the happiness in the world.” Amy is crying tears of joy at Hunter’s words, while her Mate is smiling broadly and I know that Hunter made all the arrangements to make this happen before we left. “Your Highness, thank you for asking me as part of your team. I would have gladly followed you on your journey, where ever it might have led us. I thank you for relieving me of duty, so I can stay with my Mate.” Amy says as she bows her head to Hunter. Justin’s P.O.V. I am so proud of our Mate, she knew what she could expect along the way and she made sure how to clear some of the obstacles. I know she will always try to keep another’s best interest at mind and will do what ever she can to ensure that everyone is taken care of.I can’t wait to see her back at the Palace to deal with all the crap we had to deal with over the years and I can’t hold back my laughter at her way of dealing with it. “Why do I get the feeling this has something to do with that Cousin of mine?” Max asks. Hunter looks at me with a stern look and I start laughing even harder as I imagine her giving that look to one of the Elders, to calm myself I turn my face a way from her. “Princess, sorry for that. I was just thinking about how you would deal with some of the crap we have dealt with over the years. Or you giving that look to one of the Elders as they screw up again and I really look forward to seeing them squirm as you lecture them on their lack of knowledge.” I say and everyone starts laughing, knowing that I am telling the truth. Max and Matt are laughing their asses off as they keep looking at Hunter, I slowly turn around to face her and I burst out in laughter at the murderous look in her eyes. Jayce is shaking his head at me, but I can’t seem to stop laughing. I see twinkles forming in Hunter’s eyes and I know it won’t be long before she starts laughing too. Her lips start to twitch and I can see that she is giving it her all to not start laughing, as I keep looking in her eyes she finally bursts out in laughter. It takes us a few moments to calm down and make our way back to the Alpha office, to return to the stacks of papers spread out across the room. I grab the stack of papers that contains the punishment I think is very fitting and I see others do the same. We all read our paper out loud and it seems that some Pack-members were thinking the same thing on their punishment, making me smile as I hear a few things that have been written down on my paper. Hunter’s P.O.V. This Pack seems to care a great deal for their leaders and they understand what their Alpha and his Son have done for them. I still don’t like the fact they didn’t reach out to the Royals, but that is an entire other issue to deal with. It is close to lunch when we have finally agreed on what their punishment will be and first thing after lunch Alpha Quinten will tell his Pack that at eight o'clock they will hear what the verdict is and when their punishment will take place. Frank has asked me if and when he will be allowed to ask Myles to become his Beta and we decided it would be a good opportunity to ask him at the Pack meeting, before we will announce the punishment we have chosen. Slowly one by one we leave the Alpha office to get some food, I feel exhausted from listening to the ideas the Pack-members provided us with and then having to decide what the best course of action would be. It had been quiet a discussion and I have to admit that most of the ideas were exactly what a punishment should be like. Enough embarrassment for the ones involved and all having the same end result, death. One Pack-member made me realize that one person was overlooked in this matter and I actually liked his idea on how to make sure that person would not get away with his involvement. Jayce guides me to the dining room for lunch and I can't wait for this to be over and done with, I want to go home to see Mom, to tell her I love her.
