Alpha Amarath
Hunter’s P.O.V. A woman that sits next to Nanna gets up and welcomes me to the family, she introduces everyone to me before she tells me to sit down next to Uncle Drake. Nanna tells me they had five Pups, two males and three females. Uncle Drake is the only one that hasn’t found his Mate yet and Aunt Sasha lives at another Pack with her Mate and four Pups. Aunt Lucy is the only one present tonight with her Mate David and their Pup Max. “There are two things you all need to know and they need to stay within this room.” Uncle Drake says and they all nod their heads. “Aspen is mated to our King and his Sons are Hunter’s Mates.” He quickly explains everything to them and Max starts laughing, making Uncle Drake growl at him. “Sorry, Uncle, but if she is like Uncle Thomas and Grandpa I feel sorry for those guys. She will make them go through hell and back again, she wouldn’t have done this if they had told her a year ago. I am with her on this, she should have been told and that goes for all involved. I know I would react the same and I know that goes for you as well, Uncle.” He states and the look on Uncle Drake’s face tells me that Max is correct with his assumption. “Max, they are her Mates and she can’t just reject them.” Uncle Drake says and Max asks him where in all the words he said did he hear the word rejection, Uncle Drake has to admit that Max didn’t use that word. “Neither did Hunter if I heard you correctly, but it doesn’t mean she has to accept it without a fight. They could have had a bond already, something none of us get before the Mate-bond and they took that from her. Hunter is my Cousin, she is my family and I will make sure that those idiots know that they don’t get away with hurting her. When she leaves here and wants to continue her travels I will be joining them, just to make sure no one forces her to go home.” He growls at Uncle Drake and I smile at his statement. Uncle Drake wants to says something, but Nanna beats him to it, “Max, thank you. I believe it would be a good idea if you join them, should Hunter decide to keep on traveling. Or if she decides to go home before continuing her travels, I know you will protect her and keep her wants and needs safe.” I am surprised to hear Uncle Drake agree with Nanna, but than again he has always put family first and I know he always will. That is one of the things I learned from the stories Nanna told us yesterday and I am glad I am getting to know my family. Max and Victor start talking about training and Max invites all of us for training in the morning. With Max, Victor and Matt in a conversation I can barely hear a word of what Aunt Lucy is trying to tell me and I get up out of my seat. I pick up my plate and walk around the table as I say, “Matt, get your ass out of that chair and go sit next to Max.” Making Matt and Victor growl at me. “Gentlemen, you will both pay for growling at me tomorrow. Now get moving, Matt. Before I make you.” I growl back and luckily Matt understands he should do as I have said. While I eat my dinner Aunt Lucy tells me stories about Mom and her childhood, her tendency of sleeping on Uncle Drake’s lap instead of her bed and I know I will ask Mom if she remembers that. “Aunt Lucy, what was Papa like as a child?” I ask and she gives me a funny look. Nanna tells her that it is my nickname for Thomas and that I call Daniel’s Father in Law Pops. “I have nicknames for almost everyone.” I respond and everyone listens as I tell them my nicknames for everyone. My nickname for my Mates makes everyone burst out in laughter and Max tells us he will call them that just to annoy the hell out of them. Jayce’s P.O.V. Ever since we found out that Hunter left, my Brothers and I have been sulking. There is no other word to describe our behavior, I don’t think any one of us has been able to give a normal answer. We growl most of the time, words barely leave our mouths and if it does than it is mumbled. Pops and Papa have fun with annoying the hell out of us as they keep asking Mom questions about Hunter. Papa hates that he never knew about her, that he didn’t get to see her grow up and he hates knowing that his Mate is to blame for it. When Mom asked him why he never rejected her his answer shocked me. Debra had returned after the Alpha sent her packing and Papa had not wasted a second, but her response had made us all fume with anger. She had told him she would never accept his rejection, that he was stuck with her for the rest of his life. Mom had crawled on to his lap as tears were rolling down her cheeks, Pops had started pacing the room and Dad had just stared at Papa. “Lets hope Hunter might find something to help you, Dad.” My Dad had said and the four of us had snapped our heads towards him. “What do you mean, Daniel.” Papa asked and that is when we found out that our Princess had already graduated and was going to study Law. I am still trying to wrap my head around it, my Princess is studying Law. Pops is the last one to walk in to the dining-room and he hears our conversation on Hunter’s Law study. “Do you know that some of the books she is going to use belonged to your Grandmother and Mother?” He asks and I just shake my head, I never knew Mom studied Law. “Pops, did they both finish their studies?” Jax asks and Pops tells us that they didn’t, because they both found their Mate before they were finished with their studies. “Your Mom would sometimes read one of her books at night and when she was pregnant with one of you I would sometimes hear her read to you. I once asked her if she did it to get you to sleep, because it made me fall asleep more then once. Promise me that you will never ask Hunter that question, she has a better aim than your Mom.” Dad says and I start laughing as Colt shows me and image of Hunter trying to hit me over the head with a book. After dinner I head to my office and my Brothers follow me, we have been spending a lot of time together ever since we found out we share a Mate. We have talked about how this is supposed to work or how our living-arrangements should be, but so far we have not found an answer. This is something we should talk about with Hunter, however there was one thing we agreed on and that was sleeping in one room in a huge bed. Jason had already drawn a design and we fine tuned it together, after arguing a lot I might add. “Jayce, none of the rooms are big enough for the bed and what about the bathroom?” Justin asks and soon we are discussing where in the Palace we would have a room that would be big enough, but we come up empty. Not one room is going to be big enough and that leaves us with one option, making a room that is big enough. Jax pulls up a blue print of the Palace so we can find the perfect place to make our room. The Royal Family has always lived in the same wing, the only thing that changed after our Grandfather passed was the floor we lived on. Dad wanted to stay on the floor we were born and raised on and we didn’t feel the need to move a floor up, just because it had always been the King’s floor. I know that I want a little more privacy once Hunter fully becomes our Mate, but I also would like a place to go to if we want to get away from our parents and Grandfathers. “Guys, how about Grandfather’s floor?” I ask and Jax pulls up the blue print that belongs to that floor. We take a look at all the rooms and Jax and I point at the same spot at the same time, but Justin shakes his head. “On which side are the gardens?” He asks and I smile as I understand his question. Hunter loves the gardens and she would love to be able to see them whenever she wants to. “Than this would be the best option.” Jax says as he points at three rooms. We all look at the screen and we know that that is our best option. My Brothers go up to Grandfather’s floor to have a look around and I go to deal with the paperwork that is waiting for me om my desk. The sooner I have this done, the sooner we can start with our plan and hopefully Hunter will appreciate what we have done. From now on we will do everything we do with her on our mind.
