Jayce’s P.O.V. I watch my younger Brothers as they keep an eye on Dad and the woman I assume is his Mate, but I wonder who the girl with them is. She is about 5”7 with dark brown hair that falls down her back, her ice blue eyes were what caught my attention first and I had stared at her with my mouth wide open. For some reason they looked familiar, but for the life of me I can’t remember where I have seen them before. I know it will come to me eventually and until it does I know it will hunt my mind. As I divert my attention back to Jason and Justin I see that they are no where in sight, I wonder where the hell they went and for a moment I think of linking them. Until a light up ahead draws my attention, Jason went to bed, probably tired of the women around here. I will talk to Dad before I turn in as well, I don’t want to run in to Suzy again and with Jason in bed I don’t have someone to stand in between us. Why is it so hard for women to understand that there are males that want to wait for their Mate. Suzy and her best friend Macy have set their minds on me and Jax, this has been going on for five months now and no matter what or how we say it they just don’t seem to get it. “Hello, Jayce.” I hear Suzy next to me and I almost jump out of my skin. Where the hell did she come from, I never sensed her coming. “Jayce, I have been looking for you.” I hear Dad call out and I turn in his direction as I smell this delightful scent. I am about to growl “Mate” when I realize that the scent is coming from the girl next to Dad. Colt and I immediately can tell that she is not of age yet and I clamp my mouth shut. “Alpha Daniel, it is a pleasure to see you. I was just about to ask Jayce to accompany me to a party.” Suzy says as she looks at him with a smile on her face. She looks down after that because she doesn’t want to offend my Dad in any way. The girl probably saw my twisted face at Suzy’s words and she surprises me when she asks, “Are you his Mate?” Suzy shakes her head and the girl states “Then I suggest you get lost. From what Alpha Daniel has told me, his Sons won’t settle for anything other than their fated Mate. As I told Macy earlier, stay the fuck away from my Brother or I will make you understand. Am I making myself clear, Suzy?” She grabs me by my arm and pulls me away from Suzy. She makes sure there is enough distance between us and Suzy, before she turns to Dad and whispers “I know, I should watch my words, but she deserved them.” My jaw drops as Dad starts to laugh and now I am even more confused. Dad introduces Aspen and Hunter to me and I smile at the both of them. “I am sorry the two of you ended up in the middle of our latest nightmares. Thank you, Little One, for putting her in her place and I am sorry if you get in to trouble for it.” “Don’t worry, Jayce. I have Dad wrapped around my little finger.” She whispers, even though she knows that Dad can hear her and I burst out in laughter. Dad just shakes his head and Aspen looks at Hunter with a knowing smile on her face. I ask my Dad where Gabe and Brent are, but he has no clue as to where they might be. I feel a pull on my arm and I look down at Hunter, “They are inside. I don’t know in which room, but one of them will have to move their stuff.” She says and we all look at her with our eyes wide open. “They got out the car before we did and I saw in the rearview mirror what happened.” She turns towards Dad and asks him if he remembered her remark on them choosing each other if it took to long to find their fated Mate. He nods his head and then she says “Well, the Goddess chose for them.” Dad has a huge grin on his face and Aspen and Hunter smile at one and other. “Damn, you’re saying that they are Mates.” I almost yell. “So, they just wasted decades searching for something that was right in front of them.” We all start to laugh and I link my Brothers to tell them the news and that we will all have breakfast in the King’s wing of the Palace. I think I lost Jason somewhere in the middle of the mind-link, but Justin and Jax reply that they will be there. I see a pout on Hunter’s face and ask her what is going on. “Who will tuck me in tonight with GeeGee preoccupied?” I stare at her dumbfounded and Brick asks, “Who the hell is GeeGee?” I turn to face my Dad and I see his eyes twinkle. “What is the first letter of Gamma and what is the first letter of Gabe?” He asks through the mind-link and for a second I think my eyes are going to pop out. “Don’t tell me she calls Brent BeeBee.” Looking at my Dad I already have my answer. “Don’t worry, Little One. I will tuck you in.” Jax says from behind me and her entire face lights up. Brick wants to put him in his place, but I quickly tell him that we can’t do that. Jax puts his arm around her shoulder and kisses the top of her head, she looks around her before she asks where Jason and Justin are. “They went to bed, afraid they might get targeted next.” I say with a smirk on my face. “Dad, how am I suppose to sleep now without saying goodnight to all PJs?” She asks, making Dad and Aspen laugh and making me and Jax very confused. She turns her face up to Jax and tells him that she needs to get some sleep. She steps closer to me and gets on her tiptoes, but she still can not reach me. I lean down to allow her to peck my cheek and she whispers “Goodnight, PJ. See you in the morning.” She hugs Aspen after her Mom kisses her forehead, she jumps into Dad’s arms and she places kisses all over his face as she tells him goodnight. “Okay, Princess, that’s enough.” He says laughing and she starts all over. Jax and I laugh at her antics and Colt is purring in my head as she shows him affection. Colt likes her attitude and the fact that we can feel her emotions. “It was your emotions I felt yesterday.” I say, it wasn’t a question, just stating a fact. She nods her head as she is trying to fight of sleep and I tell Jax it is definitely time for Hunter to go to bed. I place a kiss on her forehead, giving me the opportunity to smell her scent and then I wish her goodnight. Jax lifts her up bridal-style and quickly walks inside with her. I know she will be safe with Jax, but I wish I had been quicker in my response. “Dad, Aspen. I am going to get some sleep as well, see you in the morning.” Dad pulls me in for a hug and I tell him it is good to see him smile again, I take a step back to turn around but I chance my mind and I lean down to kiss Aspen on her forehead before I wish her goodnight. I run into Martha as I make my way over to the stairs and she has a smile on her face. “I see you met our Princess. Was she still awake?” I ask and Martha tells me that she was fast asleep in Jax’s arms. She looks past me and I know that Dad and Aspen just walked in, taking that as my cue to get to my room. I hear Martha talking to them as I make my way up the stairs and down the hall to our wing. I can smell my Mate and I hate that I can’t hold her in my arms, that I can not nuzzle her neck. Colt is pacing in my head as I slowly walk over to her room, I peak in quickly and I see that she is laying on top of her covers. “Dad, you might want to ask Aspen to get Hunter out of her clothes. She was already asleep when Jax put her down in her bed.” I say to Dad through the mind-link and he chuckles before he tells me to ask Aspen that myself. Apparently they did a private ceremony at the Pack-house to make sure she could link those she needed to contact. Colt tells me to contact her and make sure she knows that Hunter is still fully dressed. “Aspen, Hunter is still fully dressed. She was fast asleep when Jax got to her room.” I say and she responds quickly “Thank you, Jayce. I will take care of it, see you in the morning.”
