Grief, Betrayals, and a Core of Blaze

Chapter 573 A Late Start and a Visitor

Baron truly wished he could be tied to his dear wife every minute of every day. Natalie naturally didn't mind him coming along, but she knew that once she entered the studio, all her attention would be on her designs. She would most likely end up neglecting Baron. Being in a field that wasn't one's specialty was monotonous and boring. Natalie smiled and pinched Baron's cheek, suddenly finding his skin quite soft and springy. Baron's face contorted from Natalie's pinch, leaving him unsure whether to laugh or cry. Natalie, however, laughed heartily. "You look so cute like this! I have to take a picture!" "Honey. Are you sure I look cute like this? How about I see if you look cute like this?" As Baron spoke, he reached for Natalie, making her shriek with laughter, turn, and bolt. How could Baron let her get away? He grabbed Natalie's hand and pulled her right back. "I was wrong, I'll never do it again." Natalie immediately begged for mercy. Unfortunately, she had no idea just how alluring and enticing she was at that moment. "Too late." Baron's voice was a bit hoarse as he reached out and began to tickle her underarms. "Hahaha! Stop!"Natalie dissolved into laughter, begging for mercy while trying to dodge him. The two of them roughhoused on the bed. As they played, they ended up rolling together. Somehow, their breathing grew ragged, and the bed began to shake... By the time Natalie climbed out of bed again, more than two hours had passed. She glared weakly at Baron. "It's almost noon. How am I supposed to go to the studio now?" Baron also knew he had gone a bit overboard. He guiltily rubbed his nose and said, "You still can. I'll take you after we eat. Wait here, I'll go make you something." "It's almost noon! We should be eating lunch!" "I'll make extra. I promise I won't let you go hungry." After speaking, Baron grabbed his clothes and fled the room. Natalie saw his hasty retreat and couldn't help but chuckle. After Baron went out, he found the house was quiet. He asked the butler and learned that Ruby had taken the two children to the horse track out back. Although Holt wasn't participating, he had been dragged along by Susie. Baron was relieved no one was home. Otherwise, given how easily embarrassed Natalie got, she probably wouldn't have let him touch her for days. He quickly prepared some food for Natalie and brought it straight to the bedroom. Natalie had just stepped out of the shower when she saw the aromatic meal. She didn't bother with words and sat right down to eat. Seeing Natalie so famished, Baron felt genuinely remorseful."Next time, I definitely won't let you do it on an empty stomach." "Baron!" Natalie nearly choked on her food. Was that all this man had on his mind right now? She shot Baron a look. After eating and drinking her fill, Natalie, fearing Baron would keep her entangled at home, quickly said, "Hurry up and take me to the studio, and then you should go check on your company. You don't even pay attention to your own business; I don't know what you're busy with every day. Oh, and don't forget, our studio's launch event still needs your company to build momentum." Since his dear wife had spoken, Baron naturally didn't dare to disobey. He drove Natalie to the studio and wanted to linger, but Natalie shooed him away. Not long after Baron left, a woman in high heels arrived at Natalie's studio. "Excuse me, is the designer Sunny in?" The clear voice carried a trace of superiority. Natalie was taken aback. She hadn't been to the studio in a long time. Why would someone be looking for her the moment she showed up? She instinctively looked at Beth and Renee. Renee quickly shook her head. "You haven't been here for a while, and no one has come looking for you. Besides, our studio is in a rather remote location; very few people know about it." Renee was worried someone might be targeting Natalie, so she sounded concerned. "Natalie, why don't you call your husband? Didn't he just leave? He probably hasn't gone far. Ask him to come back and check." Beth also remembered the incident where Natalie was kidnapped and taken to the high seas, and she quickly chimed in. "Yes, let's call Mr. Grant." Seeing how much they cared about her, Natalie felt very pleased. "We're open for business. It's normal for someone to come looking for me. I was just a little surprised, that's all. You don't need to be so overly cautious. Besides, Baron has his own things to do; he doesn't need to revolve around me all day. Don't worry, I'll be fine. I still have you two, don't I?" Since Natalie had said this, Beth and Renee didn't press the matter.
