He Cheated. I Rose.
"Tranquil Vision? What the hell is that?" Landon had never even heard the name before. "It's a small local brand, only been in Capaville for about a year. Their yearly revenue barely reaches ten million." "Get to the point," Landon snapped, his eyes turning cold. A nobody company showing up now to make trouble? They had to be desperate for attention. "Their manager, Lonny Gaytan, is claiming our Four Seasons collection copied their new line. He brought a lawyer and a pack of reporters. They're causing a scene right at the venue, demanding an explanation." "Heh. Perfect timing," Landon said through gritted teeth. He gripped his phone tighter. "Just a minor hiccup. I'll deal with it personally." He hung up and immediately headed for the event hall. Just moments before, the launch had been electric. The crowd was still buzzing over the stunning reveal of the twelve designs, the excitement still building—when suddenly, an uninvited group barged in and completely disrupted the atmosphere. The man leading them was slightly overweight, and his suit looked ill-fitting. "Cosmos Group really knows how to put on a show," the man said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Even a simple building opening feels epic. Our little Tranquil Vision can't compare. Not even close." Every camera in the room—press and livestreamers alike—swung toward the newcomers. "Hello everyone, I'm the general manager of Tranquil Vision, Lonny Gaytan." He turned to the cameras, putting on a show, pretending to be shocked before forcing a helpless expression. "I was busy at work when my team rushed over saying we have a huge problem. Our newest collection has suddenly become Cosmos Group's new series. Everyone... who am I supposed to ask for justice here?" His words sent a shock wave through the crowd. The Four Seasons collection and Tranquil Vision's new release... were the same? What did that even mean? Livestreams and media crews that had been focused on showcasing the Four Seasons collection instantly pivoted their cameras toward the newcomer, Lonny Gaytan. Facing the lenses, Lonny wore a perfectly practiced look of helplessness. "Mr. Gaytan, what exactly are you implying?" a reporter shouted from the crowd. "Are you saying LOVE's Four Seasons collection is identical to your Tranquil Vision's collection?" The reporter's direct question drew a wave of gasps. Lonny didn't explain directly. He just cleared his throat, and the lawyer behind him stepped forward, face stern, physically blocking the press from pushing closer. "These are the publicly released design boards for our chief designer's new series at Tranquil Vision. This series was officially announced three days ago," the lawyer stated firmly, holding up printed documents toward the cameras. They showed screenshots from Tranquil Vision's official social media post announcing their "Solar Series." Twenty-four proposed designs, with clean color schemes, all tied to the sun's annual cycle. Hence the name, "Solar Series." People quickly noticed the "Solar Series" designs looked strikingly similar to LOVE's Four Seasons line. The main difference was scale: LOVE had released twelve pieces, while Tranquil Vision's announcement claimed a full set of twenty-four designs. "Tranquil Vision really did post this three days ago! Their designs... they match the Four Seasons style. It's the same concept, the same feeling," someone in the crowd exclaimed loudly. The revelation caused an uproar. All cameras now focused intently on Tranquil Vision's manager, Lonny, who sighed dramatically and pleaded with the lenses."Tranquil Vision is just a small company, barely making ends meet. We finally spent a lot of money to hire a chief designer, hoping to create something special that people would love. We make the announcement, and in the blink of an eye, it's taken from us. "We're small. We can't fight a top-tier giant like Cosmos Group. "I just don't understand. Why would a company that big need to copy us? "When the powerful do this, we have no voice. So I'm begging all of you here today to stand up for what's right. What am I supposed to do?" Lonny performed for the cameras, weeping and carrying on as if Cosmos Group had committed some unforgivable crime against him. Just then, Landon arrived. Lonny spotted him at once and rushed over. "Mr. Voss! I know you're in charge here at Cosmos Group. Your company is massive. You don't need to stomp on a small company just trying to survive, do you?"Hearing that pathetic, grating line, Landon's face hardened completely. This clown wasn't here for justice. He was here for a spotlight. He could have just had security throw them out, but Lonny had come prepared with lawyers and media. Right now, every single camera in the venue was focused squarely on him. Any wrong move would be broadcast live.
