The Cherished Pet of Nine Beast Husbands

Chapter 57 Misunderstandings and Redemption

If he had known things would turn out like this, he would have gone to see her himself about the dissolution. The moment he met her and realized she was the female he had been searching for, he would never have brought it up. Emma Tibarn—her name alone is beautiful. She probably hates me now. "Mr. Auris!" Adam hurried in, barely containing his excitement. "News from the city just came in. Ms. Emma Tibarn and her match returned home safely. She's fine. No injuries." "Really?" Hearing she was safe, Kael finally allowed a smile to break through his stern expression. "I'm going to her place." "Mr. Auris, wait."Adam quickly stopped him. "I received something on my way here. You should see it first." He pulled up Evie's video and played it. "This female, Evie Graham, is the one you saved from the level 8 beast that night. I've confirmed everything. When the Divine Flame descended, the one it saved was Ms. Emma Tibarn, not her. She's trying to steal her chance to go to the Central Planet." Adam had pieced things together quickly. He and Kael had both been in the forest when the Divine Flame appeared. They witnessed everything themselves. Only Evie, Laura, and Emma were there. Evie had separated from them earlier, so she wasn't the one. Adam had checked on Laura, confirmed it wasn't her, and that left Emma. "That female actually dared to take what belongs to Emma! Unbelievable!" Kael's face darkened. He told Adam, "Release a clarification. Prove she never encountered the Divine Flame." "I'll handle it right away." Adam straightened, determined. Kael had gone through with the dissolution because of a misunderstanding with Emma. He needed to resolve this and give Kael a chance to redeem himself in front of her. … Back at the villa, Edric had just returned when he heard Damian cursing at the lightcore with Coalball in his arms. "Seriously, is Kael out of his mind?" "What happened?" Edric walked over, instantly slipping back into his well-mannered, gentle demeanor at home. Damian pushed the lightcore toward him. "I went through all that trouble to get Evie trending as the one saved by the Divine Flame, and then Kael suddenly jumps out to ruin everything. He says he killed the level 8 beast himself, that he was the one who saved her, and that the Divine Flame never saved her at all." He'd spent an obscene number of star coins for those trending tags. Seeing them all collapse drove him mad. Damian glared. "Tell me you can get rid of that fool." Edric narrowed his eyes at the announcement. "I can. It will be troublesome." The Suncrest Lineage and the Violet Obsidian had been sworn enemies for generations. Clashes between them were frequent, and casualties were nothing new. Kael, however, was the young master of the Suncrest Lineage. Killing him would cause complications. Lucien, curled in Damian's arms, couldn't stop the twitch at the corner of his mouth. These two are getting more outrageous by the day—talking about killing Kael like they're discussing the weather. Shouldn't they at least have a plan? A cleanup strategy? Maybe think about how they're going to stay innocent afterward? He couldn't help imagining the scene in his head, picturing how easily they'd act—and how reckless it all seemed. "Why is that fool doing this?" Edric looked at the statement on the lightcore, puzzled. "Does he have some grudge against Evie?" Thinking of what he had just found, Damian rolled his eyes. "He has nothing to do with her. He did it because of Ms. Tibarn." Damian explained, "I found out he's been looking for the female who saved his life. Based on what he posted, I'm certain it's Ms. Tibarn." Emma's old third-hand Gravicar made her easy to identify. No other female on F-268 drove something that ancient. Edric frowned. "So he's repaying kindness with hostility?"D*mn, typical. Damian continued pumping star coins into hot searches, trying to bury Kael's statement. The Suncrest Lineage's influence made it nearly impossible. After thinking it over, Damian lowered his voice. "He can't die yet. I'm going to find him and force him to retract the statement. And he must not meet Ms. Tibarn. Once I leave, take her somewhere else. Go to your Interstellar Hunter Alliance for a few days. I'm sure she'll enjoy it." Taking Emma out for a change of scenery was something Edric welcomed. He knew she hadn't left F-268 since arriving. Damian handed him Coalball and transferred control of his private starrail.
