The Cherished Pet of Nine Beast Husbands

Chapter 278 Dragon Trouble

"Ms. Tibarn." When Kieran saw Emma walk out of the Thalassian Palace safe and sound, the worry that had been hanging over him finally eased. "Kieran, you're here." Emma smiled when she saw him. "Drake and Remy said they want to go to Coral Bay. Come with us." "Okay." Kieran nodded right away. "Ms. Tibarn, I'm sorry. I didn't protect you when you went missing." At first, Kieran didn't know that Emma was missing. Since he wasn't allowed to go to Frostveil, Silas didn't tell him immediately. Silas only told him after confirming that Emma was at the Thalassian Palace. As soon as Kieran got the news, he rushed over. "This isn't your fault." Emma didn't blame him. It had been an accident. She hadn't expected things to turn out this way either. "Emma, let's go!" Drake grabbed Emma's hand and glared at Kieran. "Emma… Emma?" Kieran stared at Drake in shock. Is he crazy? He was over thirty, and he called his master, a woman in her twenties, by her first name? Before Emma could explain, Drake turned into a huge black dragon. He wrapped his tail around her and placed her on his head. He left the Thalassian Palace in a flash. Kieran followed right after. The dragon swam through the water. Emma sat on his head while Remy hung onto one of Drake's horns. Both of them were wrapped inside a clear bubble. There was no water inside the bubble, so they could breathe easily. No matter how fast Drake swam, the bubble never broke. Soon, a beautiful coral reef appeared in front of Emma. Some of the coral there were as tall as ten-story buildings. There were also blood-red ones that looked like crimson jade. They were stunning. "Daddy, Daddy, that coral looks so pretty. Pick it and give it to Mom." Remy, hanging from Drake's horn, pointed excitedly. Drake reached out his massive claw, pulled up the coral Remy wanted, and threw it to Kieran, who was flying behind them. "This is for Emma. Clean it up and make it look nice." The coral didn't look great right after being pulled out, so it needed a little work. As soon as Kieran heard it was for Emma, he got serious and started trimming the coral carefully. "Daddy, that one's pretty too."Daddy, I want that one too. "Daddy…" Emma listened to Remy calling "Daddy" over and over. She covered her face silently. She wondered how awkward it would be for Silas to see this later. While Kieran was working on the coral, he looked up and saw Remy hanging from Drake's horn. He was so shocked that the coral almost slipped from his hand. If I'm not mistaken, that's Silas' kid. Silas' kid is calling Drake "Daddy." Does Silas know about this? Kieran quietly turned on his lightcore, recorded a short video, and sent it to the group chat. Silas, who was on a warship heading their way, saw the video, and his face turned dark. Lucien, sitting beside him, noticed that Emma looked fine in the video and smiled. "Looks like Drake is enjoying himself, taking care of your kid."Corvin nodded. "Remy looks adorable. Hanging on his horn suits him." Edric said, "If you let Drake take care of your kid, you can focus on winning Emma's favor again." Marcus agreed. "It's a good chance." Silas gave them a look and rubbed his temples. He did want to hand the little troublemaker over to someone else, but seeing Drake like this, he didn't dare to trust him with Remy. That night, Drake returned from Coral Bay with Emma and Remy. They came back loaded with coral and sea beasts. "Ms. Tibarn, I'll go cook dinner for you." Kieran had learned how to cook sea beasts from Edric, and the food he made was pretty good. After watching Kieran leave, Drake came up from behind Emma and wrapped his arms around her waist. He rested his chin on her shoulder and spoke softly beside her ear. "Emma, my head hurts." Remy had already fallen asleep on his head. When Emma heard that, she thought his mental power was acting up again. "Is your mental power out of control again?" She tried to pull his hands off and turn around to check, but his arms felt like solid iron and didn't budge. Instead of letting go, Drake held her tighter, pressing her so close that she could barely move. He buried his face in the crook of her neck and took a deep breath of her scent. His warm breath brushed against her skin, making her tremble slightly. "Drake, stop messing around. Let me go." She tried to move away, but his strength was overwhelming. His mental power was unstable, and he was acting like a stubborn child. If he didn't want to let go, there was no way she could break free. "No." His voice no longer sounded pitiful. It turned deep and husky, full of a strange mix of need and temptation.
