The Cherished Pet of Nine Beast Husbands
"I'll get you a wedding gift as soon as we return from Planet A3," Emma promised. Aria had been waiting for those words. "Can I pick the gift myself, Emma? I want to eat the cake you made for Her Majesty the other day!" She had not forgotten the taste of the birthday cake. It had been stuck in her mind ever since she ate the cake during her mother's birthday celebration, but she felt bad about troubling Emma to make it again. "No problem, I'll make two portions for you." Emma said. "I'll even throw in some pastries too." "You're the best, Emma!" Aria hugged Emma's arm affectionately. "From now on, I promise to treat you as my real sister! I'll be your most loyal and most obedient sister!" During the conversation, Edric finished the required paperwork and sent Corvin to inform Emma that they could depart at any time.… Meanwhile, Malrik finally arrived back at the Central Planet… only to discover that Emma had departed an hour earlier via private starrail to hunt beasts on Planet A3. A subordinate standing beside him cautiously asked, "What do we do now, Your Majesty?" The dark circles beneath his eyes revealed his exhaustion. He had travelled for days, without rest or sleep, just to rush back here. But Emma had already left for her destination. He chewed on his dry lips, deep in thought. His expression shifted constantly, reflecting his undulating emotions. Though he had been messaging Emma over the past two days, she had barely replied to him. And her responses were always short: 'Got it.' She must still be angry about what happened with Merlin… I'm sure she'll just ignore me even if I rushed over to meet her now. I need a plan…"Head to Planet A3." First things first, I need to meet her. … Planet A3. Deep in the forest, the ground trembled violently. A massive force rippled through the forest, snapping countless ancient trees in half as a beast smashed its way through the sea of trees, its crimson eyes glowing with feral hunger. It resembled a colossal pangolin, its body covered in obsidian scales. Its sharp claws sent dirt and stones flying into the air with every step, plants withering instantly in its wake—as though corroded by some unseen force of decay. "Roar!" Throwing back its head, the beast howled. The thunderous sound caused leaves to rain down from the swaying branches above. All of a sudden, thunderclouds churned in the sky. A blinding bolt of lightning that split the sky immediately followed.Boom! The lightning slammed into the ground just before the beast, cracking the ground open in scorched fissures. Through the dust and smoke, a slender figure descended. Emma, dressed in a black combat suit, landed upon the beast's gigantic head. Lightning coiled around her fingers, transforming into a long blade that plunged straight into the beast's skull. Then, she dug out an orange Rank 6 beast core. "That was amazing, Emma!" Hurrying over, Corvin immediately began processing the beast's hide and meat. It was his first time watching Emma hunt a beast. She was incredible—her movements fast, precise, and ruthless. D*mn, she's so cool. "I'll leave this one to you." Emma sheathed her lightning blade and sprinted toward another Rank 6 beast. "I'll take that one over there." After her recent breakthrough, her ability had strengthened significantly. Even her speed had increased dramatically. She unleashed her ability. Lightning erupted around her as she shot forward in a streak of silver-blue light, vanishing from where she stood. Marcus followed closely behind, never leaving her side. However, he simply watched as she fought. He had no intention to intervene unless she was in danger, preferring to let her handle things herself. Streams of water coiled around the second beast like serpents, then lightning flashed through the water like countless blades. It didn't take long before the beast crashed to the ground, lifeless. At this point, Emma had slain more than twenty Rank 6 beasts. Yet she showed no signs of fatigue or slowing down her pace. She could keenly sense it—she was on the verge of another breakthrough. Edric drove a few more Rank 6 beasts toward her. As she hunted, the pale blue lightning in her hands slowly turned to silver-white.Even she herself began to change. Her aura shifted, making her presence seem stronger. Her features grew even more refined, the changes especially prominent in her eyes. Her eyes now gleamed as though stars were flickering in their depths, seeming sharper and livelier than before. "You've reached Rank 6! That's incredible!" Corvin finished harvesting the beasts Emma had slain and walked over, joy spreading across his face at the sight of her transformation. "Silas was right. Her talent is truly extraordinary." To rise another rank in such a short time… such talent was extremely rare. It was no wonder the Beast God had matched her with Lucien, Marcus, and Drake—three Rank 11 male powerhouses. Fortunately, Silas had already prepared a cover story for Emma's rapid advancement and subtly shared it with the rest of the family. That was why Corvin and Marcus weren't very surprised to see her reaching Rank 6 so quickly. "I saw." Marcus nodded in agreement. Emma finally stopped after slaying the last beast and turned toward Edric, who was approaching her. "I've reached Rank 6, Edric." "I saw." Edric nodded with a smile. "You're amazing, Emma." She smiled. Pulling out a vial of rank-suppressing potion, she quickly gulped down the contents. Her rank rose too quickly. If others noticed how quickly she advanced, the questions would definitely draw suspicion to herself. Having anticipated the situation, Silas had prepared the rank-suppressing potion beforehand. Drinking the potion would make her appear to still be Rank 5 to others. Corvin ran over, beaming. "Emma, you must be tired after slaying those beasts!"
