Stranded with the Goddess
The icy rain woke me with a violent slap. Groggy, I blinked up at the shattered fuselage above me—a gaping wound torn into the ceiling.
Wires, slick with rainwater, sizzled ominously.
To my left, my seatmate slumped forward, a steel pipe impaled through his chest, blood pooling beneath him in a spreading crimson stain.
Ahead, a middle-aged man had been bisected cleanly by a metal slab. His lower half remained strapped to the seat, while his upper torso lay sprawled across the aisle, entrails spilling like grotesque spaghetti across the cabin floor.
Beside him, a woman’s head lolled at a sickening angle—half of it simply... gone. Brains, pale and yellowed, oozed down her shoulder like melting wax. Her skull had vanished entirely. swallowed hard, fumbling with my seatbelt before staggering to my feet—only to collapse to one knee as my legs betrayed me.
Bracing myself against the aisle, I surveyed the carnage: the cockpit was obliterated, wreckage and bodies fused into an indistinguishable nightmare.
The rain on my face snapped me alert. Then—a cough.
Following the sound, I found her.
Beauty.
Even in death’s shadow, her presence was otherworldly. Delicate features, an ethereal glow—like a fallen angel stranded in this hellish wreck.
Her eyes fluttered open. "Save me..." she whispered, voice fragile as a dying breath. reached for her seatbelt.
BOOM. jolt of heat. The stench of burning wiring filled the air.
The plane’s going up again. couldn’t die here—not when I’d just seen her.
Turning back, I met her gaze—wide, terrified. Something in me twisted.
Damn it.
She was too beautiful to die.
Gritting my teeth, I scooped her up. "Hold my neck."
Her soaked blue dress clung to her curves, hints of white lace beneath. Long legs ended in delicate blue sandals.
BOOM.
Another explosion. Sparks erupted from a frayed wire.
Panic surged. I bolted for the breach, jumping—
SCREAM.
She clutched my shirt instinctively. Setting her down, I said, "Find shelter. I’ll be back."
Nodding, she wrapped her arms around herself and staggered toward the beach.
The scream led me to the galley.
Lifting a tattered curtain, I froze: flight attendant lay in the corner, eyes wide, hands flailing—her chest crushed under a bloody human skull.
Urine stained the floor beneath her. Her stockings darkened unevenly.
Oh God.
"Breathe," I urged, prying the skull away.
Her eyes snapped open—pure terror.
KA-BOOM.
The ceiling exploded. Sparks rained down. I tackled her, taking the brunt on my back and hands. Needles of pain shot up my arms.
"Move! Get off this deathtrap!" she gasped.
Half-carrying the busty attendant, I dragged us to the breach. A businesswoman in a crisp suit swayed dizzily nearby.
"Someone else is alive," I told the attendant before turning.
The woman blinked up at me, silent.
CRUMP.
Smoke billowed from the rear. Flames licked hungrily.
Too late.
Hoisting the unconscious beauty over my shoulder, I charged through smoke so thick I could barely see.
Back inside—once more—the cough came from the very back.
Fire crackled at my heels.
I’ve saved so many... might as well save one more.
Clutching my shirt over my nose, I stumbled seat by seat—
There. bespectacled girl, choking on smoke.
Snatching her up, I ran—
JUMP. last girl in smoky makeup tumbled out behind us.
On the beach, the attendant screamed: "Tail’s on fire—"
KABOOM.
The blast hurled me forward. Instinct took over—I threw myself over the glasses girl just as debris rained down.
