Tattooed War God: The Urban Legion
Unconsciously, the car had already arrived at the entrance of Qi Pin Chu. Hanging in the center of the restaurant were the three vigorously and gracefully written characters for 'Qi Pin Chu', full of strength and vigor. 'Do you also like calligraphy?' Su Youyou asked after parking the car. 'The momentum is hesitant, the stability is insufficient, and there is some hesitation in the last stroke, which doesn't quite match the overall coordination. It's barely passable.' 'Cut it out, you talk as if you know a lot. Can't you be a bit more humble?' Su Youyou said disdainfully. 'What's there to be humble about? I wrote those three characters.' 'Really? I don't believe you.' Su Youyou flicked her long hair. After sitting down, Su Youyou took the menu from the waiter and handed it over, 'Today, this young lady is treating you. Order whatever you want.' 'You're too kind. Actually, I don't eat much myself.' Tang Yulan said with a shy smile, politely: 'Bring me a portion of Qi Pin Crispy Chicken, Qi Pin Fragrant Fried Pigeon, Qi Pin Honey Glazed Meat, and a portion of Er Pin Steak, along with two bottles of beer. Start with these.' The waiter said, 'Sir must be a regular customer. These are all specialty dishes of our restaurant.' Tang Yulan nodded and smiled. Su Youyou's nose started to run unknowingly, and with her beautiful, tear-shaped eyes wide open, she exclaimed, 'That's too wasteful! Can one person eat so much?' Tang Yulan humbly said, 'Now that my body is developing, it's a good time to replenish nutrients.'
Although he had lost a significant amount of weight, the muscle fibers still possessed astonishing energy, requiring a large intake of nutrients. Eating three to five pounds of meat in one meal was nothing to him.
Su Youyou sighed helplessly, feeling like a dupe. She detested those who were vain, pretending to eat a lot just for show when they couldn't actually consume that much. Money was a small matter, but wasting food was shameful. She hesitantly asked, "Can you really eat this much? Did you call someone else here?"
"No, just the two of us."
"Then do you want to take some home?"
Tang Yulan lit a cigarette leisurely and said, "Youyou, if you were a reporter, you would definitely have a bright future."
Su Youyou asked, puzzled, "Why?"
"Because your questions are very sharp."
Soon, Su Youyou realized she was wrong. Dish after dish was served, and Tang Yulan would always slowly extend his chopsticks, devouring the food like a whirlwind. Quickly, a dish would vanish without a trace.
Before long, a stack of empty plates had accumulated, not a grain of rice left behind.
When he finished the last piece of steak, Su Youyou was completely stunned, staring in disbelief and saying, "You're not a refugee who just escaped from Africa, are you?"
Tang Yulan put down his chopsticks, wiped his mouth, and said, "Normally, I can't even taste such delicious food. Two steamed buns would be a feast. But today, since I'm eating at a wealthy household, I let loose."
Su Youyou took a gentle sip of tea and said, "I dare not invite you to eat again in the future. I need to save more money and strive to find a place to stand in Lingjiang City."
Tang Yulan finished his beer, smiled, and said, 'Strive hard, and hope you can become your own rich and beautiful lady soon. It's getting late, thank you for dinner, I'll take my leave now!' 'Do you need me to send you back?' Su Youyou stood up, a trace of an unusual emotion in her eyes. 'No need, Youyou. You are a beautiful girl and very outstanding. And I am just a small security guard; perhaps there shouldn't be too much interaction between us,' Tang Yulan said with a serious expression. He was still a fugitive who had successfully escaped from prison. Su Youyou stared at Tang Yulan, smiled unnaturally, and said, 'Tang Yulan, have I done something wrong to offend you? Even if I owed you a favor during the day today, I've repaid it now. No matter what, you don't have to be so cold to me.' Tang Yulan chuckled, wanting to explain, but felt that anything he said would be superfluous. He walked out of Qi Pin Chu, and was about to look for a taxi when he felt that something was amiss with the surroundings. The men opposite seemed casual, but their gazes kept inadvertently drifting towards his direction. Something's wrong! A man in a jacket across from him bellowed, 'Catch him, don't let him escape.'
Tang Yulan took a step back, wondering if their actions were so swift that he had already been exposed. Several unremarkable vans suddenly flung open their doors, and out poured seven or eight fully armed police officers, charging towards the street. Following behind were a few plainclothes officers, guns in hand. These men were special elite forces within the police, possessing high quality and charging very fast, all heading in Tang Yulan's direction. While Tang Yulan hesitated, a strong man with a beard rushed behind Su Youyou, grabbing her neck with one hand. Tang Yulan's pupils contracted, his bones cracking like popping beans, as he felt the killer intent in the bearded man's eyes. A Hummer performed a beautiful spinning drift at the roadside and stopped in front of the bearded man. "Don't move!" shouted the armed police. "Haha, I have a hostage here, let's see if you dare to shoot," said the bearded man as he pushed Su Youyou into the car, and the Hummer roared off. The street was in chaos. The police couldn't guarantee the safety of the hostage if they shot the gunman, so they could only watch him get into the car. One of them shouted, "Get in the car, chase! We must not let them escape." Tang Yulan glanced around the environment and walked towards a man riding a motorcycle by the roadside. Seeing Tang Yulan approaching, the motorcycle owner laughed with schadenfreude, "Bro, did you see that? A hostage-taking in broad daylight, this is something you'd only see on the news, and today I witnessed it with my own eyes, so thrilling!"
